Much more subtle in person than in pictures & videos that I previously saw online

Couldn’t get these in my size in the UK. So tried at the NYC 57th Street location and had the last pair in the size I needed 🥰

Left them in the sun for just a few mins to see how much they glowed and was very impressed.

My Carryall East-West arrived and I’m already obsessed. The color is a perfect creamy off white. It’s also the most comfortable bag I’ve ever owned, and it slouches so nicely when worn and full of stuff.

I am very careful with my things but I wanted to ask the experts on this sub how, if at all, to protect the leather. I’ve read Apple Guard and Bick, but I’m so nervous to try it on my first leather LV bag. I dont want to discolor the leather or mess up the hardware. Any suggestions with product or application tips?

Saw her at the store and haven’t stopped thinking about her. Shes just so different to all of my other bags.
I’ve never had an LV that’s not leather or canvas.

Wondering if it’s a good investment & how she’ll hold up.

I just bought my first bag! I’m SO excited and in love. I wanted to share here because I see a lot of negativity about bad experiences and bags but mine was incredible. The SA knew exactly what I needed which was not what I came for.

I originally came for the speedy 25 in damier ebene but when he pulled this out I fell in love! I feel that it has an element of class to it. (And more expensive) but the cost justifies how I feel about my first luxury bag purchase. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am and at 44 years old I’m super excited to be able to have something I can pass down later own that isn’t China like my grandmother did 😊

Guys, I just opened my the new box of my Louis Vuitton bag and the bag literally smells like a*s, I cannot describe the smell in any better way. Is this normal? I usually buy vintage bags and only have a few new designer items but I never experienced a smell like this. Is it normal? Will it go away over time?

Update: Found the problem. A significant number of bags produced between 2017 and 2021 suffer from a real manufacturing defect. The issue involves a chemical reaction in the adhesive or coating used on the monogram canvas during those years. When exposed to heat or humidity, the material emits a pungent odor that cannot be "aired out. Will return bag to store.

Is this a recent change? What happened to France and Italy? I feel like a little bit of the magic and allure of a European designer item is diminished if not actually made in Europe. What do you think?

After debating to get this for a while I got super lucky and purchased the last one at my home store. I read many comments on here about the size and it’s bigger than most pochette varieties out right now. The strap is a little different but if you chose to switch to a crossbody one it doesn’t look awkward at all. Highly recommend this bag and plan to get a hot stamp when I go on vacation in a few months

Hiiii, I was gifted this yellow LV Monogram Vernis Houston (based on internet search that’s the name I found). I’m not looking for auth and I did not ask my family if it was. It was a gift and I’m a happy recipient.

I want to use it, but would like to make it my own and customize it.

I wanted to ask if anyone has experience dying this bag material ? I’ve noticed there’s areas where it looks like it has peeled? Some parts are greying. Is acrylic paint ok or just it have to be a specialized paint so that it stays out and not peel?

Is it possible to remove the remaining color layer and re-dye it with a new color?

Hi everyone, this is my first purchase from the actual LV store. I’m not sure how everything works and would like some insight and advice. My first time making a post also so I’m sorry in advance if my sentences are weirdly phrased.
I bought a pair of the white trainers. I tried them on in store and liked them, but didn’t see the pair I was buying.
Opened them in the car (was too excited lol) and there were loose threads, one shoe felt worn and also relaced loosely(one was stiffer than the other when I tried them on).
There were creases already on the back of the shoes. Went to exchange them the next day, was told the pair I had was the last one in that size(I was sold the try on pair, is that normal?).
They ordered me a new pair shipped to my house. When the new ones arrived, they were already creased from shipping. One shoe is bent/folded in due from not having those safety inserts in them(in the pair I bought in store, it had the inserts but no the ones shipped to me!)
The shoes will crease anyway, the stitching is better this time, but for 1.4k I think I expected better craftsmanship and superior packaging in comparison with other shoes(I usually wear jordan 1’s and their packaging during shipping is pretty durable)
Am I being nitpicky ? Should I return them and try a third time ? It was a birthday present and I wanted to splurge, I don’t usually shop luxury so I’m not sure if these little details I’m obsessing over are miniscule or actually important.

My brand new CarryAll East-West I got in store (3 hours from my house) yesterday… I literally just took the protective stickers and tags off and noticed this stitching hiccup. It’s directly on the front of course 😵‍💫 not sure what I should do.

I was in the store yesterday looking at a nano Madeline in black empreinte leather. I was shown 2 of the same bags and one had a much deeper/clear embossed pattern than the other.

Anyone who own empteinte, has the embossment faded with time or is what I saw just due to variations in lots

I did the pre-order, and I picked her up yesterday. Last night was date night with the hubby, so of course she had to make her debut. It comes across extremely shiny in pictures, but in person it’s not as obnoxious as some people think it is. It does not have the extended strap like the other Alma’s, so the strap is one length. Also my SA did not recommend putting a scarf on the handle because of the color transfer. She also gave me a 5 minute discussion on how important it is to store this bag in the dust bag when not in use, due to how quick the color transfer from other items will bleed into the bag. Overall, I love it and I’m happy!
