Discussion Went on one of those "generational runs" the kids are talkin about this weekend
3/4 in theaters
Digger and YCSE are somehow impossibly better than advertised. Highly encourage you go see either or both.
Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie really surprised me. Went in completely blind, didn't even regret it. Loved the experience.
Primetime is really well acted, not just Pattinson but Skyler and Merritt killed it. Completely killed it. The cinematography was a+, some really striking work.

Discussion Anything else?
We see this alot nowadays and it's always a little irritating tbh. What i mean by "used" is that when these guys bring up these films, it's never to talk about these in a profound or thoughtful way, it's just in a way to validate their honestly fightening views on the world. Their thoughts on these films mostly don't seem to be in good faith.
I'm definitely playing with fire with this post so i might delete later

Discussion Who else really likes Men (2022)?
I get the hate, its not exactly subtle nor profound but its just a fun, unique horror movie with extremely unsettling visuals and two great lead performances

Discussion I'm not a big horror fan, so for October I like to watch what I call "horror adjacent" films, mostly arthouse films that are dark, creepy, scary, etc. But may not be horror exactly. What would you recommend?
Most of these could be considered psychological thrillers but that's just a limit of what I could think of at the time. I'd prefer more that aren't psychological thrillers but I'm still open to those too.
Edit: Just thought of three more: Onibaba, Antichrist, and The Neon Demon

Discussion Random Update: I’m now in film school.
A month in now, absolutely loving it. Getting fired may have been the best thing that could’ve happened to me.
PS. Yes, I’ve rewatched The Thing. Yes, it now has a heart next to it.

Humor Just can’t believe it is the same actor
When I watched the new “Resident Evil” in its release day, I was finding the main actor quite familiar, but couldn’t recall where I did see him before. Then, after the lights turned on, I did check on Wikipedia who was that guy and I learnt he was the same drug addicted guy from “Weapons”. Damn, I couldn’t believe it! I mean, he got so different on “Resident Evil” that you think it’s two completely different persons, as you can see in the picture above.
But anyway, he acted so wonderfully well in “Resident Evil” that he deserves some sort of recognition/awards for such role. Congratulations, Austin Abrams! I hope you have a bright career from now on! Best wishes!

Discussion watch you can see everything blind or do some research??
I’m a big fan of Nathan Fielder and pretty much everything he does, so watching You Can See Everything is an absolute must for me. The only thing is, I know next to nothing about the Elizabeth Holmes case. I know who she is, but beyond the fact that she went to prison for fraud, I have no idea what actually happened.
My question is: should I go into the movie completely blind and experience everything from Nathan Fielder’s perspective, potentially being shocked by the events as they unfold? Or should I do a little research into the case beforehand so I have some context going in?
I’m just worried that if I know absolutely nothing about the case, I might miss some of the nuance, references, or details that make the movie more interesting. At the same time, I don’t want to spoil the experience for myself if going in blind makes it that much better.
For those who have seen it, would you recommend going in blind or doing some research beforehand?
