Halloween creeps into Odyssey! 🎃
A new Journal entry is arriving, packed with quests to complete and Halloween props to earn:
Something’s different tonight...the moon now grins down as a Jack-o’-Lantern! Down below, mysterious, scary creatures have appeared. Will you be the one to tame them?

And that's not all - two more Creator Builds are making their way into Odyssey, each carrying its own Creator Crest: a badge that proudly says this one came from a creator.
Kicking things off is Bakeneco's Pumpkin Juggernaut (October 15), available right now. Drop into Odyssey, tap the pop-up, and it's yours. A second build, Kaz's Haunted Cheese Hideaway build , follows on October 22, so the drops don't stop there!

(Note: I made cuts in the video editing right at takeoff and approaching the landing pad to avoid the lag caused by other large aircraft parked nearby while the area loads.)
DETAILED VIDEO ORDER:
Empty Takeoff: I show the initial departure from the landing pad with the aircraft unloaded to demonstrate its liftoff.
Empty Landing: Approach maneuver and touchdown on the pad demonstrating its stability.
Docking Process: Complete sequence of how I install and dock the modular container inside the cargo bay.
Loaded Takeoff: Departure at full power with the containers docked to test the engine response.
Loaded Landing: Final maneuver returning to the landing pad with the full weight of the cargo.
FLIGHT MECHANICS AND CONTROLS:
Basic Movements: It features lateral movement (left and right) with L1 and R1, yaw control with the joystick, as well as acceleration and braking. It incorporates 8 landing legs (4 per side) and a two-seat cockpit.
Dual Trim System: It has new lift bricks distributed in the nose and tail (at the very rear). They are controlled with Triangle (up) and L3 (down), allowing the ship to maintain its balance autonomously when flying empty.
Cargo Integration (4-Way): The modular containers use their own lift system (X to up and Circle to down). When docked, their physics are integrated with the ship, providing 4 simultaneous lift controls to dynamically manage weight in the air.
EVOLUTION FROM THE PREVIOUS MODEL (SUMMARY): This new Hauler reduces the space from 16 to 6 containers to solve the three major problems of my previous massive design (which was only for experienced pilots):
Landing: The large Hauler cannot land (it always hovers). This one adds 8 legs to land anywhere.
Performance: Carrying fewer containers completely eliminates physics lag.
Mobility: We compensate for the size with enormous rockets, gaining significantly superior speed, power, and maneuverability.

Dear devs.
I personally have been looking forward to the new content this season and its been good.
But I truly wish you gave us the option to get the builds that we missed and now the shop has nothing to bring from the old build sets.
Please bring us the build sets like.
The castle
Spiderman daily bugal and apartments.
Wolverine lab set
And really the rest of pleasant park and other items in the main world. TV, washer dryer, etc.
Thank you.

So I finished all of the quests, recruited Batman to my village, and then today when I logged in the quests are gone (not even under 'completed' in my journal). Batman is gone and all of his locations are gone. I have all of the other rewards (glider, vehicles, bat signal, etc.) but everything else (Batman villager, building blueprints and parts from the kits, etc.) have vanished. Did I miss something?
I tried reporting in game but obviously don't have a way to take a picture of Batman missing when I selected 'other.'

I got them all with hope that there will be a mechanic of relocating them, so if I ever will want to make a Halloween themed village I will be able to use them

It's white pink and purple and I was like "whoa cool colored chicken" so naturally I took him home.
Then of course you gotta feed dude so I go to take some food to his crib and when I got there it said some sheep with the same name lives there.
I saw a post a few days ago "the animals are wearing costumes for Halloween" so I'm like ... "Is it a sheep dressed as a chicken?"
But no way would they just make a sheep chicken sized. So I just figured it's one of those things.
I'll freely admit I don't give one single hoot about the pets thing. I just farm loot and build stuff. I needed feathers to make arrows and here we are.
But im pretty sure all the pets sleep at some point do they not?
Well this one... Does not. Ever.
Tl;dr once upon a time, a chicken soul lived in a sheep, and then that sheep died, but it's incorporeal essence is now my pet. The end.

Ok… so how rare is it to pull a survivor (in this case Blackheart) straight out of the depths of the ocean using a gem fishing rod and uncommon bait bucket?
This dude scared the actual barnacles off me southern cheeks!
Is this the only way to recruit this villager?

The last update left me disappointed that the Gotham buildings and challenges were taken out.
I really hope the devs see this and help to bring it back for the main world to have as an island if not on the main land.

I’m starting to get tired of Epic not clearly letting players know when events end in this mode. And now I don’t have any of the new pieces and toys. This kind of sucks. I have everything else in this mode. But now I’m missing the coolest pieces. Just upset and needed to rant.

This post is in relation to u/LongRain2257's post about QoL changes that should be made to Lego Fornite, because I agree with everything they said, but I also wanted to add on some of my own ideas or thoughts that I think the game is missing.
At the bottom of this post I'll list reasons that I like this game so much.
In the early stages of LFO (like the first 2 months after launch), the game was very lacking compared to what we have now, but it still had aspects that made it fun.
Here's what I liked about it -
These are the main things that I liked from when the gamemode first came out, but LFO no longer has. I'll explain how and why these matter, or are missing.
With the addition of multiple islands to explore (Lost Isles, Ninjago, Starwars), you would think that exploration would have a much bigger emphasis, but it doesn't. Choosing to explore is entirely up to the players ofc, but the main reason that I don't do it now is because there is not much that to find through exploring any of the islands. The world is mostly empty in the mainland (Grasslands, Frostlands, Dry Valley), and while that's normal, there should be more secret areas, poi's, or villages, with NPCs and lore/journal missions to discover, to incentivize/convince players to explore.
An example of this would be the Batman event (that I missed out on). I do think an entire Gotham City should have its own location on the map permanently, but my idea if they ever add a full size Gotham City is, when you visit that point of interest, a new mission appears on your journal that involves solving a crime with Batman. What reward can be obtained? A new batman themed weapon or tool, or new build sets.
Water in some areas within the island should also be explorable. It'd be so cool to find an underwater cave or entrance that leads the player to Atlantis where you can find Aquaman and have new journal missions, but to survive there, you would need gear or charms to help with oxygen.
RAINBOWS THAT LEAD TO CLOUDS is an example of a secret that's creative and fun. It should also appear more frequently like it used to be.
More missions in journals could add to the lore of certain areas, and make exploring a lot more interesting and fun. And lastly about exploration, the game is already moving towards an RPG game instead of survival, but it's still a bit of both, so creative or lore-based sidequests would be a great addition (like helping Beef Boss make his signature burger).
The game already has an option to make combat harder, but I think more could be done to add to the game's difficulty without strictly making the enemies themselves more difficult. When I first played LFO, the biggest struggle was staying alive and trying to clear out bandit camps to unlock the chest. Because my max HP wasn't high and I would rarely ever have a dagger, crossbow, or sword, I would have to rely on a pickaxe or an axe to fight, and I had to play smarter with lower max HP.
I think making weapons and charms harder to obtain but not as rare as during launch, would help bring a lot more strategy and difficulty to the game's combat, without making the enemies deal more damage or have more HP. This would also help slow down the game's progression early on, which I think is too fast now because of how easy it can be to deal with enemies now.
Music isn't that big of a deal to most people, but to me it adds to the experience and even a little bit to immersion. Music can always adds to the world-building of a game, I could be wrong about this, but I remember hearing music play a lot in the background during launch, and it would make the world feel a lot more alive, like WAY more alive. Now it's silent 80% of the time, and for players like me who don't have many good jam tracks shouldn't have to play the game in silence.
Similar to music, this may not be a big deal to most people, but it adds to the experience and gives that Lego game feeling. In my list about what I like about this game that'll be at the bottom of this post, the fact that this a Lego game is a huge contributor to my love for it. Hearts being replaced by a generic health bar with "1000 HP" makes it feel less like Lego.
Even if LGO is not a traditional Lego game, having the numbered Hearts as our health bar was so much better. I think that they should combine both the numbered Hearts health bar and numeric value health bar. For example, each Heart could represent 100 HP, and along with the numbered Hearts, we'd have the current health bar.
The starving system, or Hunger bar, was never anything important to the gameplay itself, nor was it that impactful to the player, but it added to the immersion. A hunger bar in any game will always be a downside to gameplay, with only 3 benefits of making the game more realistic, difficult, and immersive. Usually other games make it an important mechanic where it matters for the character's performance, and I think LFO should do the same for the players.
Early in the game's life cycle I found that rain would make my character cold, so I had to build shelter, which I found really cool because it made the game more immersive and added slight depth. The shelter warmed me up, but to reach a normal temperature level I had to place down a campfire. I was never in any real trouble, but it made the world feel interactive with me.
They should bring back temperature again in different Biomes and in different weather conditions, as well as make temperature more of a threat so that charms become more useful and the game feels more interactive again.
Here's a quick list about why I like the game -
Overall, I really just when games feel alive, and I like the little things that make exploration fun like the rainbows and butterflies that find loot for you.
