We’re halfway through October. In the middle of the Halloween event. It’s the last big update before the actual holiday and the people working on this game decide to vault the witch broom, pumpkin launcher, Last Call, and exotic candy corn, reduce the Freddy glove’s spawn rate (at least it feels like they did?), make the FNAF animatronics hard enough to find that you barely see them, and fill the loot hacks with a bunch of boring basic guns they lifted from the Reload loot pool

Like genuinely whose idea was it to make the season less Halloween-centric the closer we’re getting to it?

There are different body types, so how come majority of male skins get average builds while women skins get… interesting proportions?

And if they add a nightwing skin, they’re gonna make his visuals “toned down” 😭

I’m 28 and I’ve been playing since Chapter 1, season 3. I even have the Wingman skin. I use the game as a stress reliever because it’s easy for me to get lost in.

I imagine there will be many people who will want to stop using EGS because it is now vibecoded (very buggy and very dangerous) but still want to play Fortnite. Thankfully, the use of EGS is completely optional as purchases and account management can be done on a browser and in-game.

Here are just two ways you can play without the Epic Games Store Launcher:

- Heroic Games Launcher

a third-party client that also supports GOG and Amazon, and can also be run on Linux. You can login to Epic here and download and continue to play Fortnite. I use this. It's good.

- Xbox PC App

Xbox supports PC play, so you can download and play Fortnite that way on Windows. You need to connect a Microsoft/Xbox account though, but it is otherwise almost identical to the EGS version... save for a few weird HUD-size oddities.

There are also some other alternatives like Playnite, but I cannot speak for them as I've never tried those. They're probably good though.

So yeah, you 100% do not need to use the Epic Games Launcher for Fortnite anymore.

made this and a few other hazbin characters out of this skin a while ago but most have been deleted besides Alastor and Angel.

Recently there was a compensation rollout for anybody who purchased the sabrina carpenter music pass exclusive skin that was offered in the shop but originally was advertised with the baby doll edit style in the store front of which later was corrected to just the body suit edit style. I purchased the skin during that period with my own account under the impression that the babydoll style was included, because that's literally what was being advertised. Fast-forward to a current compensation rollout, and apparently some players who purchased the skin and then refunded it were granted not only the babydoll edit style, but the original skin FOR FREE. Meanwhile, people who purchased and KEPT the skin have seemingly been excluded from that compensation...just because I didn't refund my purchase doesn't mean I was satisfied with receiving half of what was originally advertised. I'm not arguing that people who refunded the skin shouldn't receive compensation. I'm arguing that people who actually paid for and kept the cosmetic shouldn't somehow end up worse off?????

And the fact not even support can verify what "criteria" made someone eligible for the rollout makes this seem even more deceptive...How are you going to attempt to correct a problem just to make an entirely new fairness problem, rather than resolving the original misleading advertisement.

Keeping a purchase should not disqualify someone from receiving compensation for misleading advertising.
