Over the years, I've been hopping around with different distributions and have returned to Windows several times. I chose KDE for its flexibility as a working environment, although I initially preferred GNOME. Over time, I realized that I didn't like their philosophy of using the workspace. Each user has the right to decide for himself whether he needs icons on the desktop or not, but they just take and stick sticks in the wheels for developers and extensions.
All distributions are good, but I need the one that installed everything so that everything works out of the box and without unnecessary fuss in the terminal (although I'm not afraid of the terminal). I use secure boot and nvidia dviver, and oh my God, I don't need to manually configure anything on Kubuntu! I don't care about the snaps, let them be in the system, I just don't open them.
The choice was between Kubuntu LTS and Non-LTS. In the end, I chose the first one, since I don't want to receive huge updates every six months. Although sometimes it seems that I will lose my temper and switch to non-lts anyway, since I used Fedora KDE before Kubuntu. I wonder how long I have enough :p (on the other hand, I could use debian without any problems, but I don't want to twist nvidia repositories and other stuff)
