Ask r/IndiaCricket The single most unfair rule in T20 cricket
In T20 Internationals, bowlers are only allowed 1 bouncer per over. But the rule makes it even worse
If you attempt a bouncer and overcook it above the batter's head, it gets called a Wide. But it STILL counts as your 1 allowed bouncer
So in just ONE ball
You give away a Wide run + extra ball
Your bouncer quota for the entire over is gone
Bowl another short ball? It’s an instant No-Ball + Free Hit
Fast bowlers get double penalized for one tiny mistake...In a game already biased toward batters, ICC needs to switch to 2 bouncers per over like the IPL

Discussion Playing XI for 4th and 5th odi
Rutu should open with Rohit in 4th and 5th odi again Nz and Ishan should play at 5 replacing KLR as he will be backup wk for wc so if there is situation when we need to replace KL due to some injury(i hope he never gets injured) then Ishan has to play at 5 as he can't open as Gill will be there

Discussion Why is Sakib Hussain not playing any first class cricket
I think after IPL, he hasn't played any first class cricket in any format. He wasn't part of Bihar's Ranji team which lost vs UP last week.
After that also, I am not sure if he will make the cut. I think Sakib exhibited decent control during IPL even on flat pitches and giving more opportunities will help.

Stats 1st Round of ranji trophy has come to an end and i would look like to highlight a gutsy innings played by 20 yo Pheiroijam Jotin
Pheiroijam is an upcoming fast bowling all rounder from the state of manipur. He walked out to bat when his side was down 52/5, he remained not out at 105* and made sure his team was able to chase the total. This is after He had already contributed in both the innings with the ball, posting a BM of 5/83. He is a veteran of 3 Ranji seasons and is maintaining an impressive batting average of 43 and a bowling average of 23 with SR of 45.
https://www.bcci.tv/news/article/ranji-trophy-2026-27-round-1-summary
It's hard to find the footage of plate group matches but i have attached the video link of jotin's impressive performance in the duleep trophy where he took the wickets of easwaran, kishan and gharami, ending with figures of 3/64 (22 overs).
I highlight this performance because Northeast cricket players hardly ever get any recognition or the chance to improve their game. They mostly play against eachother and constantly get relegated even when their team gets promoted. And the cycle continues. I don't feel the plate system has done any good for the development of cricket in the northeast which has produced a lot of atheletes in other sports. Teams can only get better if they keep on playing the stronger teams.

Discussion Axar the batter - a concern?
Axar as batter is slowly becoming a liability. Didnt play any good knocks since the champions trophy. Hasnt had a significant contribution in finishing matches in recent times. As much as we love axar, hard truth is he is just sliding to be a bowler now.
