He is very underutilised in IPL and imo he has everything in him to be as threatening as Klassen. Seeing him from his CPL days where he used to open and score 400+ runs season by season so could open too!

1. Noor

2. Jamie

3. Dewald

4. Nathan

5. Akeal

I always have a soft corner for Sanju (not sure because he is from Kerala or soft spoken or had to sit on the bench despite performing well in his early career).

One thing which really baffled me till date is, how he handled a situation. I think it was an IPL match against Punjab and 5 runs needed of the last two balls. Sanju denied a single of the 5th ball while Chris Morris was on the other side. The next ball, which is the last ball Sanju got out by a catch.

The very next match, Chris Morris sirf 30+ runs with 4 sixes. When the commentator asked him the decision in the previous game, he quoted something like, he will do the same thing even if he is in that situation 100 times.

Not sure, whether I should take that as a confident / ego / underestimating his own team members...

MS is Enjoying the Navaratri Function with the ambanis once he finished it then we will get updates about CSK coach and trades

Hardik,Bishnoi, Archer names will be in trade Discussions

Hardik and Bishnoi I can understand Ms had a eye on him but Archer 🙃

Source : TOI YT

so happy for him finally!! the amount of hate ive seen for him in this very subReddit is saddening just now saw a post a post of his trade deals and wtv; yet no post for his century. thank you to the people who cared to post his 97 not out!

his shots are so elegant god beauty to look at!

btw he was batting out of position today and came in at no. 7 (credit khud chalkr ata hai) but still gave a solid performance

Overton AGAINST pak today

10 overs

38runs

1 wicket

3.8 economy 💀

this guy looks like got some job to hate ruturaj

Domestics give the necessary confidence to players which is very useful. I still remember he was a beast in 2023 vijay hazare and gave brilliant performance in the title winning 2023 campaign and did well in internationals as well

No source whatsoever.
Who are these experts.
Ruturaj being traded apparently.

Apparently MS being unhappy about his domestic performances is the highlight, anyone who knows CSK and MS will know MS backs his players throughout the season. And Ruturaj played the Duleep trophy, where he scored 66 in the quarterfinals, but yeah looks like facts are being completely ignored.

These “fans” are just straight up delusional.

EDIT: He posted the same experts and fans release list in the IPL sub and got downvoted there too.

So 15 november is coming and that's the time most trades are announced but no rumours till yet? Hmmm is csk not involved

First of all, do you even realise how stupid that idea sounds. Releasing your captain, and buying him back. To you think the players would respect him after this? Even his own confidence would be at an all time low after this.

Second of all, do you know how many teams would benefit with ruturaj in their team? I will name them

1) Delhi Capitals

2) Kolkata Knight Riders

3) Lucknow super Giants

4) Mumbai Indians

5) Rajasthan Royals (possibly at No.3)

So to battle with the other 5 teams with csk involved makes it a total of 6 teams. Since this is an mini auction, the prices would be even more inflated. If you let rutu into the auction, he would fetch an minimum of 16Cr for sure.

As Rutu has shown great ability to be flexible and skills such as sweeping Bumrah for a six, considering the team's picks and requirements, it feels like finishing is the best suited role for Rutu in 2027. I'm sure Rutu can be the next MSD with his unparalleled ability finish games.

My playing 12 for 2027:

Sanju (wk)

Hope (c) ✈️

Mhatre

Urvil

Brevis ✈️

Dube

Rutu

Overton ✈️

Noor (bowling track) / Akeal (batting track) ✈️

Kambhoj

Khaleel

Impact players:

Sarfraz

Ramakrishna Ghosh

Aman Khan

Thala

One more Indian spinner (potential auction pick)

One more Indian all rounder (potential auction pick)

Feels like MS and Srinivasan have realised that Rutu still needs a bit of guidance, especially when it comes to managing the team. Wouldn't be surprised if MS and Zak end up having a massive say in everything, from bowling changes and field placements to team combinations and overall strategy.

Rutu remains the captain, but MS could be the guy guiding him behind the scenes. Honestly, if this is the plan, I can see the logic behind it. Rutu gets the experience of leading the side while having someone like Dhoni to fall back on.

Basically, Rutu on paper, MS and Zak pulling the strings behind the scenes. 😂

There is no csk without thala and don't be surprised if he ends behind the stumps doing bowling & fielding changes

As per speculations from fans and experts alike, CSK's release list could like:

Ruturaj Gaikwad (18 Cr), Kartik Sharma (14.20 Cr), Prashant Veer (14.20 Cr), Zak foulkes (75 lacs), Aman Khan (40 lacs), Rahul Chahar (5.2 Cr), Matt Henry (2 Cr), Akash Madhwal (30 lacs), Macneil Noronha (30 lacs), Kuldip Yadav (20 lacs)

Note - I am not sure about them releasing Kartik, Veer and Aman.

So, CSK's total purse will be 55.55 Cr (or 27.15 if they don't release Kartik and Veer)

The biggest gap to fill is an indian spin option and a lower order finisher. So is there any uncapped player they will target or another player who may get released ? What are your thoughts ?
