Maybe we broke the jinx this year.

Context: Aakash chopra usually gave a positive rating for DC's strategy. Idk this is the first time he said DC has made a bad move. So I believe we'll do better this time. At least this trade might work.

Guys what do you think of this?

For me it will be zeeshan , vipraj is also good but he leaks too much runs even in the up T20 league he was very expensive while zeeshan is economical and can bat too similiar to vipraj

Also about batting we already have madhav Axar ashutosh in lower order so we don't need that much deep batting

Who should DC buy?

What abt him if he's there at the auction? He had registered for 2024 or 25 whichever, so he should be eligible to register again

dont get me wrong, experience at this level matters. but this guy has been straight up bad.

one knock vs pbks and thats all i can recall from him.

Insanely limited vs pace to be starting in top order,

his usp is spin yet his numbers are quite mediocre.

a single 400+ run season in his ipl career.

i dont get why people on this reddit are so fond of him even as a backup. we are miles better off investing in an youngster.

Don't know why but I guess if we managed to get him he can prove himself as one of the best no 3 batsman this Ipl.

Because

He is excellent against both pace and spin

Can rotate strike and build innings

Can attack as well what we saw in world cup 2023 as well as other matches against India

Can bowl 1-2 overs

So consistent in indian conditions you can see that rarely fails when it comes to indian conditions

The reason why he's not good for NZ in t20i because NZ use him as no 6 to no 7 batsman but if we make him our no 3 it can be great addition

And for the pacer target we can get good indian pacers there are rumours that mi might release Deepak chahar so

Combo of Deepak+ Mitchell would be a great addition

What you guys think?

JFM is cooking in australia one day cup He is the leading run scorer in the tournament so far. Should we buy him?

Tell me what you think guys?

1)Starc - 11.75cr

2)Anyone out of Mukesh /Auqib - 8.00 / 8.40cr

3) Chameera - 0.75L

4) Karun Nair - 0.50L

5)Nitish Rana - 4.20cr

6)Abishek Porel - 4.0cr

7) Ajay Mandal - 0.30L

With Natrajan Trade our purse increases by 10.35 and with Pant trade our purse decreases by 1.5cr

So these 7 releases would give us - 39.95cr

Thoughts on these releases and auction targets

Rn we have 3 avaibale options within our squad - Pant, Rahul or Stubbs

Pant didn't give any major milestones when he our captain back in 2021-24, also one of his reason to leave lsg is captaincy burden, so he is not ideal choice

Rahul also left lsg with one of the reason is captaincy burden, he had been great for us since 2025 and a consistent anchor who proved himself multiple times. We wish not to ruin his state by making same mistake we did in 2021 by handing pant captaincy.

Stubbs is the only right choice as SEC won sa20 title under him and this role has been very suitable for him after his dip in form ahead of 2024 as a finisher. He's been with dc for like 3 years making him a trust-worthy candidate too

Share your thoughts, if you don't think any of them isn't good enough then which player we should target in upcoming auction?

As DC released Lizelle lee who was the keeper for us in 2026 and also released Tanya Bhatia . Is it possible that Delhi is again targeting Sarah Bryce?

Because

1) can bat lower

2) can keep wickets

3) also creates a 5th overseas player option

So it's for sure DC will have an eye on Sarah Bryce

chameera is getting retained lol

With all the buzz around HP-Axar swap (heavily ongoing on X) I feel Bapu is not just our captain. He is the glue binding the team. He brings energy as well as cohesiveness.

He might not be the best captain but he definitely is a person i would want in the squad anytime for his - Experience, Skillset and the adorable Cheerfulness.

No second thoughts that HP would be a hell of an addition but Bapu has been in our setup for the longest time now. (Even the poster boy Pant wasn’t there for 2 whole years)

DC is incomplete without Ax atp.
I would want Ax to be there when we lift our first trophy.

Do you guys think we should retain him, there was lots of hype around him b4 he made his debut. He had good stats in all formats for J&K

But ever since IPL started he's getting bashed left right and centre but he had a good little run in county

TBF we need to retain any 1 of Mukesh/Auqib as we also have to remove Starc. Both Mukesh and Auqib are of same price 8cr and 8.4cr

Is he not ready to be at this level or the IPL killed his confidence

Give your thoughts (Just don't say Ganguly quota lol)

With Pant coming in, than Dada and now Yuvi Pa, this team is looking so strong and confident. Best part is everyone is just going in with the mindset of winning. Just counting days now.

Also what a trade with Nattu, DC is getting ready to win auction

Expecting a few more to materialise
