Hangfang's Echoes by J. Zangrilli

Post image

The bat skull wakes with a sharp screech.

Each strike leaves an echo behind, waiting for its victim to move.

And when the fighting is over, remember to hang the sword upside down.

Apparently, that's how it sleeps.

YF003 - Spider Woven Spear of the Shark Dragon

Weapon (Spear) – Rare (3070 gp, requires attunement)

This silver +1 spear has a blade resembling two clawed hands, followed by a decorative form resembling a mix of a spider, shark, and dragon features with purple accents and pink crystal spheres. The shaft is wrapped in purple cloth, and ends in a fish tail design.

The spear does not suffer any of the disadvantages of being used underwater.

When you damage a creature with this spear, as a bonus action you can expend 1 hitdice, and the creature’s Strength score is reduced by the rolled hit dice until the start of your next turn. A lesser restoration spell or similar healing can end this effect. If this reduces its Strength to 0, the target is stunned until the effect is removed, instead of being killed.

This creature was created as a Tier Reward for Patron Joselyn Rivera! Thank you for your support!

Original Content The M55/20 Infantry Combat System | A Long Arm Beyond Compare (OC)

Post image
41 Upvotes

The M55/20 is likely the best weapon in service anywhere beyond the Eternal Empire, and is in great demand across the Periphery. Every warlord, freelancer, soldier, or corporate stooge wants one, and the Directorate is perfectly willing to sell.

The M55/20 is the mid Liberation War upgrade to the older M55, which was put into service as a "Universal Weapon" in the decade leading up to the Liberation War. It was to fill the role of grenade launcher, marksman rifle, and light machine gun, and it did all of those roles well ( better at the first and third over the second).
Imperial Jannisary troops who had always been top of the line in firepower for Imperial Periphery raised troops found themselves outgunned by smaller units of Directorate Expeditionaries or Unionist Rebels with these rifles.

The M55/20 made what was a really good gun into near perfection by rectifying some of the flaws that the old version had, like making the targeting computer interface better with the grenades and shaving off an entire kilogram with a newer and more efficient SMES ring. It didn't take long for all the M55s in service to be converted or sold off to Periphery Union forces in their struggle against the Empire.

But now, the M55/20 is facing a similar fate in favor of the M55/45, which makes the gun even more accurate and powerful, makes the coil shunt more ergonomic and replaces the medium velocity 25mm grenade launcher that is unique to the M55 platform with the standard 36mm standard Directorate grenade launcher, making it a more performant yet bulkier and longer system.

This added bulk has led to the M55/20 sticking around past the date it was to be replaced, as while Assault Pioneer, Powersuit and Fusilier troops fought over who would get the gun first, the Armored Infantry and Espatiers decided that until the M55/45 had a carbine version made, it wouldn't serving with them.

The Periphery polities also use these rifles, with stocks of them ending up everywhere after the Union's Fall. They mostly serve with special forces and elite units, though some have enough of these guns to issue them to general purpose infantry either as a special squad weapon, or at a provisional basis

Handheld explosives used by an advanced alien race. Effectively a micro fusion reactor that's engineered to catastrophically fail after a set amount of time, detonating in a fireball of superheated plasma and molten shrapnel. Highly effective against both armor and infantry.

Bug Spray With Melee Weapon Mount by me, (u/arksupernoob)

I was sitting on the porcelain throne at 2 in the morning in me birthday suit, struggling, when a HUGE Millepede came out of the drain hole in the other corner. I looked at the beast clad in black armor, without any tools to defend me self. My mind raced in desperation and desire for a weapon, ultimately came up with this thing you see here. The thing escaped into my room after i came back with the spray can.

Made in Blender 5.2.

Original Content Weapons that should've been forgotten: Handmade guns of the radioactive British countryside. [OC]

Crude, simple, unelegant, nauseating descriptions for these guns differ just like the handmade guns themselves.

In the absence of standardised production, many guns abandoned traditional ways and used unorthodox methods and decisions, such as pulse-action. Typically, 'pulse rifles' were powered by batteries that were available, using electric spark to ignite the powder in the cartridge, providing a fairly reliable alternative to traditional systems. While many of these guns were muzzle-loading, they were also used for hunting. Guns such as this (pic. 1), with their light weight and short length, were relatively easy to conceal under a coat or in a backpack, even if they didn't have a folding stock. However, these bandit-made rifles, or carbines, often had a folding stock feature.

Handmade revolvers (pic. 2) gained their popularity because you need to put in a lot of work to create a revolver that would jam. Many of these guns were referred to as 'litterboxes', as a tribute to 'pepperboxes', antique handguns that predated traditional revolvers. And fairly enough, handmade revolvers would rather break apart before they would ever jam.

These guns remind us that there was a time in history when these things were common in the lawless, chaotic lives of street gangs, survivor caravans crossing the no man's land or remote farms where people hunted any wildlife in order to simply survive. Thankfully, these times are over, and these guns should be forgotten by history.
