An app for future first time Dads
When my partner got pregnant all the apps I tried was written for her. I wanted something that told me what was going on that week and what I could actually do about it.
So I built ExpectDad. It’s free on iPhone (US only for now):
- This week: her week in a few lines, the baby’s size (eggplant, pumpkin…), and three small things you can do today, picked for how she’s feeling. “Ten-minute back rub, because she has lower back pain.”
- Visit guides: what each appointment is, what to bring, questions to ask, and somewhere to note what you learned.
- Gear: what you actually need and by when, with picks at three budgets.
- Dad’s Corner: a private space to check in with yourself and plan money and leave.
No ads. Your data is yours, and you can delete it any time.
What I’m asking: try it for a week and tell me honestly:
- What’s useful, and what’s noise?
- What did you go looking for and not find?
- Anything confusing, broken, or a bit cringe?
- What else would be useful ?
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/expectdad/id6818917713
Comment here or DM me, and I read everything. If you’re past the due date or it isn’t for you, a share with an expecting dad you know helps too. Thanks!

Marginplace - a writing app that makes it easier to turn private notes into shared ideas
Hey everyone! I'm building Marginplace, a writing app focused on what happens after you write something.
Tools like Google Docs are great for real-time writing collaboration, but I wanted something where you can connect multiple pieces of writing, share them with friends or groups, and have ongoing discussions around ideas without everything getting lost in a group chat.
The goal is to make it easy to go from private writing to sharing your thoughts, getting feedback, and building on each other's ideas over time.
I'm trying to make something for people who enjoy thinking, writing, and exploring ideas together. I'd love to hear how you currently do this and what's missing from the tools you use.
There's still a lot more features i want to implement, but here's the rundown of the current app features:
- private docs by default
- end-to-end encryption
- friends & dms
- groups w/ chats
- discussion threads
- share docs via a link or with specific friends or groups
- rich text editor
- markdown support
- inline document comments
- reference links to other documents
- document downloads
- vim support
- focus mode

We made an expense spreadsheet that separates client reimbursements from spending
ContractCanopy is our shop, and this is a workbook we sell. The useful part is keeping the money spent and the money clients have already reimbursed separate, instead of treating the gross spending figure as the remaining cash cost.
A fictional example in the file is 134 spent, 45 reimbursed and 89 net cash cost. There are two sheets: an expense log with 600 rows, and a review with monthly and category totals. Each row has an input check, with a visible warning if an entry needs correcting. Filtering the expense log does not change the full-year review totals.
The current download was tested in Apple Numbers on Mac and Google Sheets after XLSX import/conversion, including amount and year changes, category selection, input warnings and project filtering. Numbers needs manual filter setup. Microsoft Excel has not been independently tested. The download is an XLSX file with import instructions, not a shared Google Sheets template link. It uses one currency and manual entries; there is no bank connection or tax calculation.
The actual workbook screenshots and a short tour are on the product page: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4596210581/freelancer-business-expense-tracker?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=imadethis_expense_showcase
It's a paid XLSX download with instructions. If you build spreadsheets too, do you find the separate input-warning summary useful, or would you rather keep those checks alongside each entry?

Dice bags for my D&D friends!
Been playing D&D since 2018, and I noticed that a lot of new players who sat down at our table, kept their dice in old sandwich bags...well that wouldn't do so I did some research, watched some YouTube videos, and learned to make my own dice bags. Now, when a new player sits at our table, I dig a stack of them out of my backpack, and they pick out which one they like, free of charge. Cotton print outside, black flannel lining, 550 paracord for the drawstring. I get fabric mostly from my mom, neighbors, or friends who sew so I don't spend much in materials, that way I can keep giving them away for free :)

[Android] - Offline music and Radio Player with ready to play radios - 100% free - No premium version
Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).
Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world. Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.
Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.
Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate. The online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations.
Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).
Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).
Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.
Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)
There is no Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.
Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.
Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.
If you want to check it out (I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and add new features and radios), you can find it on the Google Play Store. Thank you so much to everyone who takes a look!
Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

A visualized 3D coding harness

AI-engineering is fun but a lot of professional coding nowadays includes just staring at streams of text as the AI does its thing which got boring pretty quickly at least for me. So I fixed it. I visualized all the data in the coding harness, gave it 3D-graphics and made coding cool again! You can even hit the AI with a cane after it does stupid things. Presenting: VarisDev
Everything is also opensource on github!

I built a voice + text chat with strangers that never uses a camera
Hi all, I run HearMe (hearme.chat), a free anonymous chat with strangers, voice or text, 18+ only, no sign-up and no video at all.
Why no camera: most Omegle-style sites turned into webcam roulette, and a lot of people just want to talk without being seen.
What's in it:
- 1:1 voice calls or text chat, matched in a few seconds
- Report/block in one tap
- A daily "Live Hour" (11 PM IST) when most people are online
- Android app in beta testing
Still early and small, so at quiet hours you may wait a bit. I'd love honest feedback: what would make you come back a second time?

Napster taught me how to discover music, streaming made me forget, so I built a record shop out of a photograph
Side project: a record shop you browse like a real one. Walk the crates, flip sleeves, drop the needle; it plays through Spotify’s embed. New crates every Sunday.
The parts that were fun (and painful) to build:
The shop is a photograph. A photographed room (day, evening, night, rain and snow versions) layered over the original hand-drawn page. It follows your clock, but only the current hour’s pictures load, because Brave on iPhone kept killing the tab for going over its memory limit.
The tonearm follows the music. Playback runs through Spotify’s embed iFrame API, which only tells you play and pause. I store each album’s track lengths, so when you drop the needle on track 4, the arm actually sits on the 4th groove.
It used to heat my laptop. The spinning record was an SVG attribute updated every frame: repainting the whole drawing 120 times a second. Now it’s its own layer, animated by the GPU, and the needle loop drops to 2 updates a second once playback is steady. CPU at rest went from about 6% to about 1%.
No build step. Plain HTML, CSS and JS on Netlify. The weekly drop is a JSON catalog put together by scripts (Spotify search for the albums, MusicBrainz for credits, Discogs links), and publishing means moving a git branch.
Small extras: every shared record gets its own link-preview image (the cover pasted into a sleeve, made by a function on first request, then cached), and a “Most dug this week” chart from anonymous needle-drop counts: only a hash of a random device token is kept.
Would love feedback, especially on older phones and Safari, where I’ve had the most trouble.

made a library of real human reaction clips for video hooks
so i was making product demo videos and they all started with the app screen which is kinda boring. wanted a real person reacting at the start but hiring a creator every time to test one hook is slow and pricey
so i put together 182 clips of real people reacting, sorted by emotion, all vertical 1080x1920. built the site with next.js + cloudflare, stripe for payments
its $19 one time and you get everything, unlimited downloads
ugcpeople.com, just launched so any feedback is welcome

VibeScout - Ultimate music discovery app on the Google Play Store
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share an app I've been working on called VibeScout!
It's a music discovery app I built in my spare time that helps you find new artists and bands based on music you already like. You can dig into lesser-known artists, explore similar bands, save favorites, and open anything you find in your favorite streaming app.
I'm just a guy who works at a power plant and decided to give app development a shot lol. It's been a hell of a learning experience!
It's free on Google Play, and I'd love some honest feedback!

I made Podcast Filter: review a podcast, choose cuts, approve it for a child
I built an iPhone app that helps parents review podcast episodes before children listen. It flags spoken passages and shows the surrounding transcript and original-audio previews. A parent chooses cuts and approves the resulting version for a named child; kids get only their approved library, with offline downloads.
Automated analysis can miss things, so parent review is still essential. Free download, with credits for episode analysis and no subscription. The app includes a sample report to explore the workflow.
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6809083299
I’d love feedback on how clearly the review screen explains what is being kept and removed.

I built a 3D app that tears apart an AI data center to show where the money goes. It just hit the Top 100 in Finance on the App Store
Hey all! I've been following the AI capex boom and kept seeing headlines about companies spending billions on data centers, but couldn't find anything that showed where that money actually ends up. So I built it.
What it is: CapExplorer is a 3D model of an AI data center you can take apart piece by piece. Tap "See where $1,000 goes" and a server rack pulls apart into its parts, each labeled with its share of the spend and the public companies that supply it. You can open up the GPUs, memory, and the chip fab tools, or zoom out to the cooling, power systems, and the building itself.
A few things I cared about:
Every figure is sourced from public filings and teardowns, with estimates clearly marked
Fully offline, no account, no ads, no tracking
Built for iPad and iPhone in landscape
Where it's at: Launched as a $1.99 paid app and it just broke into the Top 100 in Finance this week, which was a nice surprise for a solo project.
I'd love feedback, especially on what else you'd want to see taken apart, and anything that feels confusing in the 3D navigation.

Recorder Voice app for Content Creators
I built an Android voice recorder for short-video creators (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), and I'm looking for testers for the closed test on Google Play.
🎙️What it does
• Records in takes: messed up a line? Re-record just that part, not the whole thing
• Arrange and trim the takes on a timeline
• Cleans up your voice locally, on your phone
• Exports to MP3 or WAV
• No account, no ads, nothing leaves your device
What I needGoogle requires 12 testers for 14 days before I can launch, so I'm looking for 15–20 people.
How to join (2 quick steps):
- Join the group (use the Gmail you use on Google Play): https://groups.google.com/g/voice-recorder-testers
- Accept the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/io.github.diegodias93.gravadordevoz
- The Play Store will show a price, but you won't be charged: at checkout, make sure it says "Test card, always approves" and confirm.
Install it from the Play page and open it once or twice during the 14 days. Feedback is always welcome, even a one-liner.
💙 Thank you

I made two virtual instruments... here's me actually making music with them.
SONATOMIC is doing the drone underneath, and I'm playing two parts with Element Player over it. The beats were premade.
I've spent SO much time working on these... it's pretty wild to actually be making music with them now haha. Still figuring out all the things I can do with them 🙃
