I made WhatBrandonThinks, an AI that gives its take on your chat history

Ever reread a conversation and wondered what someone else would make of it?

I made a website that turns a chat history into a personalised report, written through an opinionated AI character called Brandon. You upload a conversation, and it looks at patterns such as:

  • Who tends to start conversations and keep them going.
  • How the tone changes over time.
  • The recurring jokes and roles people fall into in a group.
  • Patterns in how people respond to each other.

Depending on the conversation, the result could be a funny breakdown of your friends’ group chat or a more reflective look at how two people communicate. Brandon adds a blunt, sometimes roasting take to the observations.

Here’s the project: WhatBrandonThinks

I’d appreciate feedback on the idea and how clearly the website explains it. Would you be more interested in a funny group-chat breakdown or a closer look at relationship communication?

[For Sale] LaunchRank.app: 49 makers, 50 apps launched by real users, $0 spent on ads, $14.93/year to run

It's a launch platform for indie makers, kind of a Product Hunt alternative where every app gets a fair daily slot and climbs the leaderboard with community upvotes.

Core features:

  • Daily launches: every app goes live at 11:00 AM and gets a full 24 hour cycle to collect upvotes
  • Scoring system: verified upvotes, guest upvotes (protected by device fingerprinting) and comments all count toward the rank
  • Backlink Exchanger: a marketplace where makers swap dofollow links. The app checks the partner's page automatically and only accepts a real dofollow link
  • Hypeboard: paid promo slots pinned to the top of the sidebar, from 24 hours up to 14 days
  • Verified Founder badge: a dofollow backlink, a verified checkmark and instant approvals
  • Points and rewards: makers earn points from upvotes and comments and turn them into discount codes
  • App ownership claims verified through a DNS TXT record
  • Leaderboard, launch calendar, maker profiles, follows, embeddable app pages and SEO "Best X Alternatives" pages
  • App card skins

The numbers:

  • 49 registered makers, all organic, I never ran an ad
  • 56 apps launched, 50 of them by other makers
  • 485 app page views, 30 upvotes, 7 comments
  • Costs $14.93 a year for the domain, everything else runs on free tiers
  • Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, MongoDB, Stripe, Resend, Tailwind, hosted on Vercel

What you get:

  • The launchrank domain
  • Full source code
  • The database with all makers, apps, upvotes and comments
  • Admin panel for users, submissions, ownership claims, products, discount codes, banners and refunds
  • App overview and transition documents
  • I'll help you move everything over

If you have any questions, DM me or leave a comment here, have a great day!

I built Certifier: An open-source tool to design, issue, and verify certificates in bulk

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Every workshop and hackathon has the same final boss:

“Can we get the certificates by tonight?” 😅

Then begins the traditional ritual: duplicate a design, change one name, export, repeat… and quietly wonder whether anyone will notice the typo in certificate #47.

I started building a small fix for that problem.

After lots of JOMFS — Just One More Feature Syndrome — it became something more. 🔧

A name field became a visual certificate editor.
A CSV upload became bulk generation.
A download button became issuance to each student’s own account.
And, naturally, certificates needed QR codes, public verification, and revocation status.

That project is now open source: Certifier — a tool for designing, issuing, and verifying certificates.

What it can do

  • Upload a certificate design or import one from Canva
  • Place text, logos, signatures, and QR codes in a visual editor
  • Generate certificates in bulk from a CSV
  • Deliver certificates to the right student via email or roll number
  • Let anyone verify a certificate through a QR code or public code
  • Show whether a certificate is valid or revoked

Tech stack

  • Backend: Django
  • Task processing: Celery
  • Frontend: Next.js
  • License: AGPL-3.0

Run docker compose up and you can have a working setup with demo data in a few minutes.

Explore the code

I'd love contributions: bug reports, fixes, documentation, feature ideas, and feedback from anyone who has had to survive certificate season. 💬

I'm especially interested in feedback on the architecture, verification workflow, and features that would make this useful for colleges, workshops, and hackathons.

If you've built something similar or dealt with certificate generation at scale, I'd love to hear how you approached it!

Make your own 24/7 TV network from YouTube and Vimeo in minutes, with a cable-style program guide + more (free to try)

I’ve been building Hosobi with Claude Code for the past few weeks. It turns YouTube and Vimeo videos into 24/7 TV channels where everyone watches the same show at the same time, like old-school cable, with a scrolling program guide.

Live demo: https://hosobi.com/ilovethe90s

I’d love it if people would sign up for free (no payment information needed) and give it a test run: https://hosobi.com

What’s it do:

  • Schedules are built on the server, so every viewer is on the same show at the same moment
  • Channel surfing with a scrolling program guide
  • On Demand libraries
  • Your YouTube live broadcasts air automatically on a Live channel
  • A retro Local Weather channel with each viewer’s local forecast
  • Import channels from other people’s networks
  • Embed a channel, or your whole network, on your own site

I was using Strimm.com to present my portfolio of video work, and it was clunky and expensive. So I built my own channel with a program guide to show my portfolio, and that inspired Hosobi - a much lighter, much cheaper version. What it can’t do is run as a TV app (like Roku or Apple TV) or a phone app, because YouTube’s rules don’t allow that. Maybe a Vimeo-only plan with TV and phone apps will come in the future.

This isn’t for people trying to monetize on YouTube or game the algorithm for millions of views. It’s for local organizations, businesses, and fans of a particular kind of content who want to curate their libraries and present them in a sleek, professional viewing experience. Think local podcasts, churches, non-profits, sports leagues, government, businesses and fan communities.

Please give it a shot if this sounds cool to you. I’d love feedback. Thanks!

My classmate and I built a job application tracker after losing track of our own applications

Website: https://orbbt.app/
Chrome extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/orbbt-linkedin-indeed-job/gglibakbhgepkmoeekclgnfoikjhngkg

After graduating, I was applying to around 10 jobs a day. I could remember sending the applications, but keeping track of replies, interviews, deadlines, and which companies I’d already contacted was another story. My classmate was dealing with the same thing, so we built Orbbt.

It’s a web app where you can track applications in a table or Kanban board, keep company and recruiter contacts together, and set deadline reminders via email and mobile notifications. We also built a Chrome extension that saves jobs from LinkedIn and Indeed to your tracker without copying the details by hand.

We’ve just launched it, and the core job tracker is free to use.

If you’re job hunting, I’d love to know: what part of tracking applications is still annoying, even with a tool like this? And if you try Orbbt, please tell me where the setup or save flow gets confusing.

I built a tool to fix how I speak

• Upvotes

Some things the video doesn't cover:

I started building it on 25 September, for myself. The first version only noticed when I talked too fast. Then pauses, then volume, pitch and tone, and finally hands and eye contact on video. I've practised with it most days since.

It works for me. Whether it works for anyone else is what I want to find out, since most of it was tested on my own voice. Does it catch the moments you'd catch yourself? Where does it get it wrong?

I made a free arcade where you can play HORSE as Mamdani, El-Sayed and Talarico

• Upvotes

Processing img df56ll0pmkwh1...

I've been going through it lately and I've been using AI to create web-based mini games, comics, and music videos in order to cope.

I’m Tony. I’ve worked in games and entertainment for over 15 years, and I’ve been building Political Arcades: a web-based arcade, music video, and comic book experience, starting with five free browser games featuring Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed and James Talarico, plus music videos and comic books.

There’s basketball, a street brawler, falling-block housing puzzles and two takes on Snake. Playing earns supplies you can spend building your own neighborhood. No download or account needed. I also made political satire comics and music videos, because apparently this needed to become an entire thing.

Try it: politicalarcades.com

There’s a community-giving side to it too. If the project makes distributable profit, at least 50% goes to community programs. My share gets smaller at published financial milestones, eventually leaving 99% for the community. I benefit too, and I want that to be transparent. Here’s the full policy.

It’s still a work in progress. If you try a game, what would you change to make you want another round?

[Android][Player] - Offline music & streaming radio with ready-to-play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

I got tired of deploying projects just to share them, so I built this

• Upvotes

I wanted a simple way to share projects running on my computer without deploying them every time.

You just install the CLI, start a tunnel, and get a public URL anyone can access.

A few developers have already tried it, and I've been improving it based on their feedback.

Still working on it, so I'd love to hear what you think!

I was jealous of Mac power-user tools, so I built one for Windows: a radial menu with 1,427 ready-made actions

• Upvotes

I switched between a Mac and a Windows PC for work for years, and the thing I always missed on Windows were the small Mac power tools: Raycast, PopClip, Dropover, BetterTouchTool. Windows has PowerToys, which is great, but nothing that puts your most-used actions one flick away in whatever app you're in.

So I built RadialDeck. You hold a key or a mouse button, a ring of actions opens under your cursor, you flick toward one and let go.

What it does:

The ring changes per app. Excel gets Paste values, Outlook gets Move to folder, Photoshop, AutoCAD, OBS and Explorer get their own. There are 1,427 ready-made slices for 100+ programs, so you don't have to set anything up.

Text tricks on whatever you've copied: strip tracking junk from links, UPPER/lower case, and 30 more.

Copy text straight off the screen, even from a paused video.

Drop ring: press Shift while you drag a file, flick, and it's converted mid-drag (to PDF, MP4, MP3, under 10 MB, location removed from photos).

38 themes, dark and light, 14 languages. No account, no login.

It's free for two rings, and every feature is free for 14 days. It's on the Microsoft Store.

I'm a solo dev and this is my first real product, so I'd love honest feedback. What's the one action you wish was a flick away?

Looking for tester and feedback for my expense tracker app.

I made a little app for tracking my spending, mostly because my bank app's overview just wasn't good enough for me.

My favourite part is that it picks up Apple Pay purchases on its own, so I don't have to type anything in. You can also import bank statements, which gives you a pretty clear picture of where your money's actually going.

It's honestly been really helpful for me, but I'm not sure if that's just because it fits how I do things. So I'd love it if a few people tried it out and told me what works and what doesn't.

I made an iPhone app that plans your meals for the whole week

After a year of "I'll figure out dinner later" turning into takeout, I built MealMuse Pro. Tell it your diet, budget and calorie goal, and it gives you a week of meals, the recipes and the shopping list. I'm proud of how it turned out and would love to hear what you think.

I built an app to stop people flaking on plans after getting fed up with group chats. Here’s how it works.

Thumbnail
jointhresh.com
1 Upvotes

Hey r/IMadeThis!

Like a lot of you, I got tired of the exact same frustrating cycle every time I tried to organize something with friends or university groups:

Create a group chat, Send lots of back-and-forth messages just trying to pick a day or time everyone is free, half the group leave it on read or cancel 30 minutes before the event.

Most social apps are built to keep you staring at a screen. I wanted to build something that actually gets you off your phone and out meeting your friends in real life.

So I’ve been building Thresh—a clean, lightweight social utility designed to turn passive "maybe" plans into locked-in hangouts with zero group chat clutter.

Why Thresh Is Worth Signing Up For?

Instant Availability Checks: See when your close friends or group members are actually free without playing the endless message game.

1-Tap Spontaneous Meetups: Broadcast quick, real-time availability (like grabbing coffee or hitting the library) to your inner circle in a single tap.

Commitment-Backed Events: Group plans lock in only when enough people commit, so you never end up showing up alone.

Personalized, Clutter-Free App: A clean, private space built strictly for your close circles and group memories—no open, endless public feeds, no influencer noise, and no algorithmic doom-scrolling. Just the plans and memories you actually care about.

We've Launched Our Early Access Waitlist!

We are currently building up our pre-launch waitlist ahead of our pilot campaign. If you’ve ever experienced group-plan fatigue or feel like this is something you need in your life, I’d love for you to join the waitlist!

Join The Waitlist Here!

💬 I'd Love Your Feedback!

What is your biggest headache when organizing group plans or nights out with friends? Would love to hear your thoughts, critiques, or ideas in the comments!

I built an offline Android app that tells you how many days your food and water would last

Hey r/SideProject!

I’m a data scientist by day, and a few months ago I started building up an emergency food stockpile at home (family of 4). I quickly hit a problem: spreadsheets don’t tell you the one thing that matters, “if something goes wrong, how many days can we actually last?”

So I built PrepBox, an Android app that:

  • Calculates days of autonomy (calories in stock ÷ your family’s daily need), and shows which food or category is your bottleneck
  • Tracks water as a parallel resource, with rotation intervals per storage type
  • Alerts you before items expire (D-7/D-3/D-1) so you rotate stock instead of throwing it away
  • Works as a normal pantry tracker too, with a built-in nutrition database (TACO, from a Brazilian university)
  • Generates QR codes per shelf, supports CSV import/export and encrypted local backups

The part I cared about most: privacy. The app has zero network permissions and zero storage permissions. Your inventory never leaves your phone. It felt wrong for an emergency app to depend on the internet.

Stack: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose (Material 3), Room, Hilt, WorkManager. MVVM + Repository.

Pricing: 30-day free trial, then a one-time purchase for PRO (no subscription).

It’s live on the Play Store: [link]

I’d really love feedback on:

  1. The onboarding: is it clear in the first 2 minutes what the app does?
  2. Whether the “days of autonomy” number feels trustworthy, or if you’d want to see how it’s calculated
  3. Anything that feels missing or overcomplicated

Happy to answer questions about the architecture or the nutrition math. Thanks for reading!

And if you wanna check the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stelladata.preppo
