The last one I need to complete my TPB collection, but the cheapest I see are in the $200-$250 for ****ing ex-library copies...

Sandman Presents:Hellblazer #1(2019)

It's been a while since I asked this !
But I wonder if anybody have any new songs
For me some bands that I'd associate with him would be the buzzcocks , the damned , and soiuxie and the banshees
I'd love to hear some new songs or bands from people !

I decided that I had to read the entirity of the original run before I read anything else. Which I mostly did, I read all the trenchoat brigade, the Books of Magic tie ins and half of Spurrier's before I read Milligan's run (oops) I really didnt want to, but i knew i'd run out of other works and have to read Milligan's run eventually and I didn't want that to be the last stiff I read.

The Milligan Run to me was a series of "he would not fucking do that, he would not fucking say that, he would not fucking think that." Etc. Also, in the last arc he lists a bunch of his different partners, no mention of Dani, which irritates me. I understand she was only a love interest for 28 issues but like, she was important. I personally liked her, john got along with her grandpa really well. They were a good pair. Genuinely a terrible way to end a decades long series but I'm not a writer so what do j know. God I hate Milligan. But the design for baby punk john wasnt bad.

Forgive me if I words are nonsensical, I do not have my glasses, I think my dog stole then again. And i am too sleepy to find them at the moment. :(

Also I made three versions, one with one of my favorite panels from Jenkins' run, one with the Delano omnibus, and one just using the cover of issue one.

"The world's shrill alarm swells insistently out of the black. You wake, melt water seeping down your throat. It tastes of tears."

As in title, I finally want to go back to the beginning and read the Jamie Delano run I previously skipped. Tbh I'm not a huge fan of comics that old, and I've heard that the whole run isn't consistently high quality. Fortunately, all three volumes of Delano's Hellblazer (in my country, the series was published in hardcovers with extra issues from some other series etc.) are available at a library near me, so I have the comfort of being able to read what I want and skip what I want.

The contents of those three volumes are:
Vol 1 - Hellblazer 1–13, Swamp Thing 76–77
Vol 2 - Hellblazer 14–24, Hellblazer Annual 1, The Horrorist 1–2
Vol 3 - Hellblazer 28–31, 33–40, 84, 250, Vertigo Secret Files: Hellblazer 1, Bad Blood 1–4

Which of those are worth reading, and which are rather a hard skip? I'm not picky, I've liked some of the arcs that some would call "C tier", but if there's really some very weak, negligible arc in this collection, I don't want to waste my time on it.

(Fanart by me)

"Autumn in the smoke. Don't you just love it to death? When the leaves start to crisp and yellow, and the mist crawl in off the Thames, and all the good looking women vanish."

It honestly took me a while to realize that Matt played Constantine and Edward. Commissioned by wolfsteax

Guy wanted 10$ a book for them, couldn’t pass on that.

I like to keep my eye at the biggest festival of collectives of the year and I was pleasantly surprised by not one, but two Constantine figures! I didn't expect more Constantine merch for a while.

INART showed a prototype of John Constantine inspired by Lee Bermejo's art style due to be part of a line of Batman figures from Batman: Damned.

There's also a non licensed figure from Wiz Toys. Considering it already has clothes and color, I bet it'll be up for pre-order next month or so.

Hey. Have only these 26-vol Hellblazer comics been published in English or are there other more compact ones? I wonder if it's worth it for me to collect an additional whole series in English

I really want to read and own the full collection physically but it’s proving quite difficult to go the trades route. Is there a possibility that Hellblazer will finally receive a compendium edition for the full series or should I just bite the bullet and collect the omnis?

so fun to read ahhh
