Question Allergies!!
Has anybody been experiencing seasonal allergies just the last couple of days? I don’t know what I’m allergic to but I’m sneezing like crazy. The weather network is reporting low or no pollen and allergens, but there must be something out there that’s getting me. Not usually allergic to anything.

Recommendations Needed Looking for a patient, CDCP/ODSP-knowledgeable dentist for complex repair work.
I am looking for recommendations for a compassionate, highly skilled dentist who is taking new patients. I live in Hamilton Centre and would prefer a clinic close to me, but I am open to traveling elsewhere in the city for the right fit. I have my dental x-rays going back several years, and will provide them to the new dentist.
I’ve had very bad past experiences in the dental chair, but my recent consultation with a prosthodontist showed me that a calm, kind environment makes a huge difference and completely changes how I handle dental visits. I need a clinic that provides that same supportive atmosphere.
What I need:
- Specific Restoration Work: Need a proper composite restoration on a back molar—replacing a failed composite patch and filling an active decay spot on the exposed, recessed root surface (I have detailed notes/guidance from a recent prosthodontist consultation on how it should be properly prepped and placed).
- Conservative Front Teeth Repair: Composite reinforcement on worn/chipped front teeth edges without aggressive shaving for crowns or veneers.
- Knowledgeable Billing & Admin Staff: Must be knowledgeable of, and experienced with CDCP, ODSP/Accerta, and proper billing codes (e.g., using a limited/specific exam code 01201 instead of forcing an unnecessary full 1.5-hour new patient exam).
- Respect for Health Records: An office that understands PHIPA and is willing to work with patient-provided X-rays and specialist notes rather than insisting on redundant imaging.
I live in Hamilton Centre, but if you know of a quiet, gentle dental clinic in the area that is great with anxious/neurodivergent patients and knows how to navigate CDCP/ODSP properly, I’d greatly appreciate your recommendations. 🙂

Question Base camp for movie or TV shoot at Mohawk across from St Joe’s?
Driving past the entrance to Mohawk parking lot on Fennell, I noticed a sign for a base camp. Of course now I can’t remember what the (fake) name of the production was. Anyone know?

Where To Buy Where to buy clay (for making pots)
Hey pottery people, where can you buy clay, like the kind for firing in a kiln for pots. Apologies for not knowing proper terminology.

Question Community safety zone speed limits
I noticed that along King St E from Gage Park almost to Wear's Florist, the city removed the 40 km/hr school zone speed limit signs and replaced them with community safety zone signs. There are no 40 km/hr signs there anymore. This is shocking especially since there's a bunch of schools in the area, people speed along that stretch and there's been so many pedestrians hit lately. I don't understand the goal of removing the 40 km/hr signs while not increasing speed limits along the Red Hill.
But anyway, what is the speed limit there in the community safety zone? I've googled it and have read conflicting info whether the speed limit is 30, 40 or 50.

Municipal Election 2026 Andrea's desparate anti-Loomis Youtube ad
Has anyone caught this? I happened to be walking by the kiddo watching a Youtube video this morning and an ad break came up with some anti-Loomis ad about "which Loomis are we getting" or something to that effect. I have adblockers for my PC and don't watch Youtube on my phone so I haven't been able to go and re-watch it, but the only branding that it's for Andrea is the fine print "authorized" phrase in the bottom left corner. There was no purple/yellow colouring, just the Loomis nitro yellow-green backing on the text. No comment on who to vote for, just who not to vote for.
It looks like she's pretty desperate to be throwing up attack ads with only a couple of days left in the campaign. I have to wonder, why now? Why did she abandon her "nowhere man" tag for him? Why no comment about Cooper (I assume she sees only Loomis as the threat, or the ad was created a few weeks ago)?
Are there any other ads like this that she's running?
