Profile for MIF

Hi everyone,

I applied to HEC Paris MIF in Round 1 and was wondering what you guys think about my chances of getting an interview.

My profile:

  • University: European target university, Econ
  • GPA: Around top 5% of my class
  • GMAT Focus: 655 (Q86, V79, DI83)
  • Experience: One research assistantship in quantitative research
  • Extracurriculars: Scholarship holder and involved in student clubs

Unfortunately, I don’t have professional experience beyond my research assistantship.

Do you think my profile is competitive enough to receive an interview invitation? I’m particularly concerned about my GMAT score and limited work experience.

Would appreciate any insights, especially from current HEC MIF students or previous applicants.

Thanks!

Bachelor abroad in economics at Esade (semi target): GPA 8.3/10
Exchange in Warwick (target in the UK): 2:1

Speaks 3 languages including French.

Internships:
- treasury assistant (2024)
- compliance analyst (2025)
- credit risk analyst in a bank (2026)

Im afraid my experience is not corporate finance enough for the mif.
