I always thought that you could only get one YouTube trial, ever.
I got the email about using my Pixel benefits, and I was about to rant to the wall that I can't use the offered extended YouTube trial because I used it from a previous phone.
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/10324204
YouTube Premium & Music Premium introductory trials
* Introductory trials are available to first-time members.
* Introductory trials are available to users who canceled a YouTube Premium, Music Premium, or Premium Lite membership at least 6 months ago.
* Only 1 trial is allowed per 12-month period.YouTube Premium & Music Premium extended trials
* Sometimes, we offer an extended trial that may last longer than standard trial offers for new members.
* Extended trials are available to first-time members or 3 years after canceling your previous membership.
* Only 1 extended trial is allowed per 3 year period.
So after a few more months, I might be able to get the standard (14 day?) trial again.
But I think I can't use the extended 6-month trial from the Pixel. Close, but no cigar.

I had a Pixel 9 Pro Fold from launch day that was eventually upgraded to a 10 Pro Fold due to the 9 Pro Fold batteries issues and I recently traded it in for an 11 Pro.
I honestly can't say that I really miss the Fold right now. I just wasn't using the inner screen enough for things that actually needed the larger screen and I was also getting tired of the extra bulk of the Fold. I originally thought that I'd use it more (inner screen) for work, but the on screen keyboard kind of got in the way too much. And let's face it, I was also drawn in by the "wow factor" of a folding phone.
So that being said, has anyone done the same and when the newness of their new phone wore off, felt or realized they needed or better enjoyed the Fold and wished they hadn't gotten rid of it?

edit: I saw in another thread the codes were going to peoples spam folder. Searched for "subscriber in:spam" and found my 30% off hiding there.
I'm a AI Pro Google one subscriber and have bought a ton of crap off Google. They're sending targeted 30% off discounts to some people, unfortunately I'm not cool enough or whatever to get one. I'm on a pixel 9 pro they'll offer me $480 for it. I'd buy the 11 Pro 512GB storage one because paying money to go from 16GB of ram to 12GB is insulting.
I'm curious what the discounts around black Friday are gonna be as I wasn't blessed by the Google gods with a 30% discount. Am I better off waiting or taking the $150 discount I have now with the trade in? How much do they tend to discount around black Friday?

If you're like me and hate Gemini, there is a way to get Google Assistant back. I have a Pixel 11 Pro and this worked for me.
Simply go to the Google app, uninstall updates, then set it to not auto update. Then go back to Assistant settings and Google Assistant is selectable again.
You might need a reboot or two but it works. You just need to make sure that the Google app doesn't update or you'll lose it again.

I recently bought a Pixel 11 Pro from the official Google Store in India, with an exchange offer for my Pixel 10.
The new phone was delivered, but Google and its exchange partner Cashify have apparently forgotten about the exchange. I'm now worried I've been tricked into buying a new phone by Gogole, based on an offer that they have no intention of honouring.
Here's what's happened:
I've been buying Google phones since the Nexus days, and never imagined that a company with Google's resources and supposed technological prowess could be this spectacularly incompetent at something as basic as a phone exchange.
Google has already collected the full payment for the new device, and the exchange value was a major reason I bought it. They essentially scammed me into paying them full price for my phone.
I've written to Google's senior leadership, its grievance officer and Cashify's founders. So far, nothing.
Has anyone dealt with this before? How do you actually get Google to honour an exchange commitment? Is consumer court my only realistic option?

Probably won't do anything but if enough of us complain maybe they'll at least get annoyed enough to consider it.

Is there any alternative video recording app that can improve video recording in P11 Pro?
I assume its more of software processing problem on these devices rather than an Hardware quality issue?

Has anyone ordered a pixel online from the google store, with a trade in, and dealt with a similar scenario as me?
I ordered a pixel 11 and did a store pick up on 10/21.
I selected the option to have my trade-in device returned to me if it does not match the quoted price.
The return period for my new phone is 15 days, which means I have till 11/5 to return it.
The trade in kit was shipped out, but won't arrive till 10/29. Assuming I mail my trade-in the same day, i doubt it will be received and evaluated before the 11/5 deadline.
I don't want this new phone if my trade in does not match its quoted price and is sent back to me, so I contacted support to see if I could get a return extension.
I contacted chat support 2 times.
The 1st support person said no return extensions and recommend I just return the device now and cancel the order to risk being stuck with the new phone.
The 2nd support person I spoke to said, "If your trade-in evaluation causes a delay beyond your return window, we can extend the return period for you." They then provided a case number and said "You can use this as our confirmation for the information I have recently provided."
I am unsure how to proceed and would appreciate hearing how similar situations were handled by others.

I was pumped to see that 30% off Pixel code in my email, and my wife has been getting more and more annoyed with her iPhone.
So I bought a Pixel Pro 11 XL for her and was going to trade her iPhone in because the value was pretty solid for the trade.
Box arrived the next day, but the box felt light. Asked the UPS driver to help me open it. Only the trade-in kit and the label for that was inside. Shipping info stated that both should be in there.
Immediately reached out to Google Store support who promptly denied, escalated & then denied again.
Things I did:
I don't want to do a chargeback yet as my Google account is old and used for everything. My CC company knows the situation, and I have 60 days to do it.
Any other suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I'm a long-time Pixel user (owned Pixel 2, Pixel 6, and now Pixel 8). I bought my Pixel 8 while visiting Taiwan as it wasn't available in Poland at the time. Now, the display in my phone broke, and it turned out it is the known display defect covered under Google’s official Pixel 8 Extended Repair Program.
Now that Pixel devices are officially supported and sold in Poland, I reached out to local support. However, they rejected repairing it under the Extended Repair Program simply because the device was purchased in Taiwan, claiming "regional hardware discrepancies" and "system limitations."
I checked and it looks like the screen module is technically identical across global variants, and EU Google service centers definitely have the required display parts. The Customer Service told me to send my phone back to Taiwan for a recognized global manufacturing flaw. But this is unreasonable - especially given the carbon footprint and logistics involved, time without a phone and costs. Local support refused to escalate the case to Tier 2 or a Supervisor.
Has anyone successfully obtained a Cross-Region RMA / Courtesy Repair Exception for the Pixel 8 display program?
Tagging u/PixelCommunity in hopes someone from the Google team can take a second look at my case.

Update on my issue with the Google Store Pixel 11 purchase and Pixel 9 exchange.
I was offered approximately ₹43,000 for my Pixel 9, including a ₹9,000 exchange bonus, when placing my Pixel 11 order through the Google Store. However, after my Pixel 11 was delivered, the Cashify exchange was cancelled without clear prior communication.
When I asked Google for an explanation, I was told that the exchange did not meet the terms and conditions, but no specific condition that I allegedly violated was provided as reason.
I contacted Google Support, and the matter was escalated under support. I was told I would receive an update within 24–48 hours, but the issue remains unresolved.
Since I haven't received a satisfactory explanation or resolution, I've now filed a formal grievance with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), Government of India.
My requested resolution is straightforward:
- Honour the original exchange offer of approximately ₹43,000, including the ₹9,000 bonus.
- If completing the exchange is no longer possible, provide an appropriate monetary remedy.
- Provide reasonable compensation for the inconvenience, time and distress caused by this issue.
I'm keeping all the order details, exchange offer information, cancellation messages and support correspondence as evidence. I'll give Google an opportunity to resolve this, but if the grievance process doesn't lead to a satisfactory outcome, I'll consider escalating the matter to the appropriate Consumer Commission.
Has anyone here faced a similar Google Store/Cashify exchange cancellation? If you filed an NCH grievance or approached a Consumer Commission, how did it go, and what would you recommend as the next step?
I'll update this post when I receive a concrete response.

I remember that under Google Assistant there was an option to give some contacts some nicknames, i.e. I could have my mum, dad, brother, partner, saved in Google Contacts with their actual full name, but in that settings page (somewhere under the Google app, Google Assistant or Google Account settings) I could pick an existing contact and choose the "relationship" with them, so that when I said "call dad" it would work even if I didn't say "call [my_dad's_full_name]".
That settings page was still available a few weeks ago as I remember getting to it (while having migrated from Google Assistant to Gemini years ago).
But I can now no longer find it. Gemini still understands the concepts of "dad", "mum", etc, but I no longer can find the page where to check/edit them.
Has anyone else found out where it is now?
Thanks a lot! 🙏
(To be clear, this has nothing to do with the "family" options/settings for account benefits sharing or for Google Home purposes)

Hi there,
I’m experiencing a "missed call" issue with my Pixel 11 Pro XL (using the carrier Congstar):
The caller dials my number and hears a ringing tone, but the call never reaches my Pixel.
Afterward, I receive an SMS notification informing me that I have a missed call.
It happens with about 4 out of every 10 calls.
I’ve already tried just about every piece of advice out there:
I’ve permanently disabled Call Screen, the spam filter, and "Do Not Disturb".
I’ve replaced the SIM card, performed a factory reset, reset my network settings, and so on.
Nothing helps.
Everything works perfectly fine when I use an old iPhone I happen to have.
There is a similar post in the Google support forum, but it seems Google is ignoring it.
Am I the only one dealing with this, and does anyone have any tips for me?
Thanks in advance!!

I bought a Pixel 11 Pro on release. It had the continuous modem crash loop. Spent a week trying to fix it and then returned it. I experimented with an iPhone and Samsung, but they're just not for me. I decided to try again with a regular Pixel 11. Just got it today, and it is doing the same thing. Are 100% of these defective?
These things cost over $1,000 CAD, from a 5.5 trillion dollar company. I tried to stay with Pixel. I really did, but this is beyond unacceptable.
Are there any class action lawsuits regarding this?
Should I buy a 10? I never had problems with my 5 and 7.
Thanks, happy to hear suggestions.

To preface this, I'm also a long time Pixel user since 2017 who hasn't really switched to another phone like iPhone, Samsung or anything else really (unfortunately live in the US with their limited phone brand selection). I just didn't really find a good enough reason to switch to these past years. Though that might change soon.
I enjoy the simplicity of Pixel and I'm just used to the nature of how a pixel phone work. All the Google services I use are seamless and does what I need. I know that the camera, in my opinion, is still one of the best in the game and one of my reasons to stay with the brand. Video recording could be better, hope they focus on that.
I don't really game with my phone, battery for a Pixel has gotten better over the years but not up to par with other brands by the looks of it. In my case, it is enough to last me a whole day of phone usage with about 30-40% battery left, I charge my phone every night and it will be fully charged by the morning, rinse and repeat.
The Tensor conversation has been beaten to death and we know how that goes. Understandable that for the price, especially the pro phones, could always be better. But the majority of the average Pixel user don't really find much of a problem with it compared to what you see in this subreddit. And with Pixel ownership increasing every year due to incentives and carrier deals, then there is no budging them to really improve on this aspect (it is what it is).
That's it, that's my post. I know this post isn't really my full thoughts but I wouldn't want to make too long of a post and I hate long walls of text myself lol.
I'm interested in what other long time Pixel users have to say. What made you stay or quickly switched back to Pixel?

Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar with their Pixel 10 Pro Fold or another recent Pixel and can point me in the right direction.
Basically, all the cameras on my Pixel 10 Pro Fold have stopped working, along with the flashlight. None of the cameras work, regardless of which app I use, and the flashlight won't turn on either.
I've been trying to figure out what's causing this, but so far nothing I've tried has made any difference.
Initially, I thought it might be some kind of software glitch or a camera service that had crashed, especially since every camera stopped working rather than just one. I find it pretty unlikely that all the individual camera modules would fail at exactly the same time, so my suspicion is that there's something wrong with the camera subsystem, its firmware, or possibly a shared hardware component.
I've tried restarting the phone multiple times, checking for software updates, troubleshooting the camera app, and going through Android's recovery options. I also tried rebooting through the recovery menu, including dealing with the "No command" and "Waiting for rescue commands" screens.
Eventually, I decided to do a full factory reset as a last resort. Unfortunately, that didn't fix anything either. The phone is still experiencing exactly the same problem.
At this point, I'm starting to think this might be a hardware issue, but I'm not entirely convinced. From what I understand, a factory reset doesn't necessarily reinstall all the underlying firmware, so I'm wondering whether there's still a possibility of fixing it through a full firmware reinstallation or another software-level repair.
I've also been in contact with Google Support and eventually got transferred to a supervisor. Unfortunately, the phone is about four months outside its warranty, and their recommendation was to take it to an authorized repair centre and pay for the repair myself.
I pushed back on that because this is an extremely expensive phone, and having something as fundamental as all the cameras and flashlight completely fail this early in its life seems unreasonable to me. I wasn't expecting a phone at this price point to develop this kind of problem, when there hasn't been any obvious explanation for the failure.
Google hasn't offered any goodwill repair or exception so far, and I'd rather not spend hundreds of dollars on repairs without first understanding what's actually wrong.
What I'm really curious about is whether anyone else has run into this exact combination of symptoms.
Has anyone had all their Pixel cameras and flashlight stop working simultaneously? If so, did you ever figure out what caused it?
I'm also wondering whether anyone has managed to fix a similar issue by reinstalling the stock firmware, using Google's Pixel software repair tool (I tired this and it didnt work), or doing anything beyond a standard factory reset.
If you've had this happen and ended up having the phone repaired, I'd really appreciate knowing what actually needed replacing. Was it a camera module, a connector, the motherboard, or something else? And roughly how much did it cost?
I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who experienced the same problem after a factory reset and managed to get it working again.
Also, if anyone has successfully convinced Google to cover a repair outside the warranty period for a similar failure, I'd be interested in hearing how you approached that.
I'm not really looking for sympathy or comments about how much the situation sucks. I'm just trying to understand whether this is a known issue, whether there's anything else worth trying, and whether paying for a repair is genuinely my only remaining option.
Any actual experiences, technical insight, or troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

So many of us are running into the performance issue introduced after the September update. Looks like it's finally fixed! I've been checking it every few days, so this is welcome news. Any guesses to how long something like this would take to roll out? https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/571186734

I currently have an old wall charger for my old Pixel 6 Pro that I purchased directly from Google at the same time I purchased my phone.
My beloved Pixel 6 Pro is unfortunately on its last legs after so many years of service and I was told by various repair shops (including a Google certified shop) that it's sadly beyond hope at this point so am looking at having to buy a new phone.
However, I was wondering if the newer phones released since the Pixel 6 era have seen any changes made to standards regarding charging or requirements or if I could still rely on my old wall charger for a new phone such as a Pixel 11 or am I looking at having to also buy a new wall charger for a new phone as well?

I lost my golden a few months ago and recently got another. They look similar. Is there a way to tell the engine categorize new pictures into a separate identity? It seems to continue to think it's the old dog. Thank you
