It picked up a few scratches during its trip from Japan in a shipping container. It’s super dirty, but I’m very excited to finally own one of the 200! It’s a 2024 manual with only 7,000 km on the clock.

I’m planning on getting a new Premium MT GR86 later this year, and I’ve narrowed my color choices down to Halo and Pavement. The problem is, I’m pretty torn between the two. They both look incredible in their own ways, which makes the decision that much harder.
I’m drawn to Halo because it really makes the car’s body lines stand out, the interior shouldn’t get as hot in the SoCal sun compared to a darker color, and it has a classy look to it. I also like that swirl marks tend to be less noticeable on lighter paint, although I still plan on taking proper care of it and hand washing it.
On the other hand, I love Pavement because it gives the car more of that JDM look, and the darker color blends in with the panel gaps a bit better, making the overall design look slightly more cohesive. Plus, since it’s not a premium color, I’d save a little money, which is always a nice bonus.
Honestly, after typing all this out, I think it’s becoming a little more apparent to me which way I’m leaning, but I’d still love to hear what you guys think before making a final decision. If you own either color, I’d especially love to see some pictures in the comments. Seeing how they look in different lighting really helps!

Unfortunately, I'll be selling my GR86. I have spine surgery coming up, and between the recovery and limited mobility afterwards, I won't be able to drive a manual for a long time....or possibly ever again. What would fair asking price be for this spec? I've looked for comparison, but can't find something with similar spec and mileage. All the 86s with this spec around me are rebuilt or salvaged with 20k+ miles. Can't seem to find a fair comparable
2024 GR86 Premium, Neptune Blue 2.0, 6-speed manual
1 owner, clean title
~7k miles
Oil change every 3k miles
No issues or exterior/interior damage ofc
Located in Dallas. Looking for a realistic price range I should be expecting. Extensive parts list, but I understand parts don't add value.

My brainchild after owning the Aeroflow Dynamics Lip and the Sayber Designs Lip. The AFD had a simple clean look and decent clearance but the 3 piece always looked cheap to me. I loved how the Sayber Designs lip molded to the brz bumper but it dropped too low and I was dragging it out of every driveway on my daily drive. This is basically a hybrid of everything I liked from each. Made from the frame of the ikon Motorsport v4 lip and combined with sheets of abs and acm I had lying around. Some body filler, a lot of shaping/sanding, paint and it’s finally finished.

Let me just start with saying this set up looks so nice and sounds amazing. We retained the factory GR Performance exhaust and added a JDL ultra quiet front pipe. The main thing I wanted to say though is when we pulled the oil pan we found rtv in the pickup that was enough to cover a US quarter which was a lot more than I thought. It was visibly covering the pick up.
I know people are always saying it’s overblown but it’s always easy to think that until it happens to you. Even more this is a ‘24 and it was reported that it was “fixed” with this year. 20k miles with track days sprinkled in and that much was found. There’s so much fear mongering in this sub and I really don’t want to add to it but just thought I would share some discoveries I found and my experience

Have a 2026 GR86 with 2,500 miles on it and I am switching the stock Michelin tires out for All Season Continentals. Live in Maryland.
Do I need an alignment ? I know it cant hurt but its already an unexpected expense the wife is not really happy about :)
Also, what should i do with the practically new tires, is there a market to sell them ?

Guy locally is selling ST XTA coilovers for cheap and I’m just curious if anyone’s run them and if they have any inputs and reviews they can share especially comparison to stock

Yes if you are familiar with this exhaust it is quite loud. I also live in California which is pretty well known for state reffing for these kind of things.
The cold start honestly sounds awful (like a loud wet fart) but once I’m on the road I absolutely love it. I rarely have to commute far much or at all since I work from home, but I’d imagine long drives with this thing on would get annoying.
Not sure if I should just put the stock exhaust back on, it’s kinda hard to go back at this point :/
Anyone here have this same exhaust in Cali?

Anyone know where I can buy one?

I’ve always wanted a GR86 and finally make enough money to comfortably afford one. My commute is roughly 140 miles round trip, 3–4 days a week, mostly highway driving. For those who daily drive theirs, how is it in terms of comfort, reliability, road noise, fuel economy, and maintenance? Especially for those putting higher mileage on them. Would you recommend it as a daily with that kind of commute, or would I be better off keeping it as a weekend car?

Hello everyone! Here is my 2025 MT GR86. I’ve bought the car brand new in January of 25 and have done light mods so far such as Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler, Verus Engineering hood vent, oil pressure sensor and QoL mods. This will be my first major mod to this car. More to come!

Found this broken clip in my cupholder today. Just recently took my car in for an oil change, new tires, and a wash (all different places) so I'm not sure which one did it.
Does anyone know where it might have come from?

Jun Auto kit is amazing. Fit and finish is perfect. Even the directions in Japanese were great. Now I just need the EVS Tuning Silver Mirrors and Kondo Engineering Carbon Hood.

I ran into my fraternal twin at a local restaurant this weekend... I didn't even know I had a brother. Should I get a DNA test?

Hi I'm quite new here. I just wanna ask the 2027 owners here if the triple camera eyesight really blocks some view and provides new blindspots for the car? Can you also send some photos here for reference? Thank you. I'm just trying to decide if I would buy the 2027 or the older models.
