I always struggle to stick with a project as I start new projects over and over only to get a 4 bar loop and then throw it away but this one encouraged me to finish it and I'm happy with the outcome!

Hello! First time poster here.
Forgive me if this sounds naive.
I got fruity edition not too long ago and I have been having fun making little songs and using samples and plugins. I think the only drawback I'm feeling is the lack of interactivity with the music I make. I want to interact with the software with more than just mouse and keyboard.
That said, I have been considering getting a synth or keyboard for use in FL studio. Something cheap to start, and maybe if I get a liking to it, I'll upgrade.
What do you think of this? Bad idea? Should I just stick with the mouse and keyboard?
And if this isn't such a bad idea, does anyone have any suggestions for fairly inexpensive starter synths for use in FL studio?
Thanks :)

So I am new to recording and in my Research I found out, that there are recording templates for FLStudio. Even saw some streamers record with one. But in Most cases the templates include expensive Plug-Ins. So my question is: do you guys know good templates? Can you suggest some? I would pay as well for a good one. Thanks :)

Hi guys! I wanted to show you my first track, I've only been making music for 10hours now and it's so much fun! Would be great if you can give me some advices - what needs work here, what can I do next with this track, and what should I learn next? I would be happy if you can share with me any good learning resources! Take care!

Hi,
I'm a solo game developer and I'd love to make my own tracks, I started using FL Studio recently but its just so overwhelming, I create melodies, but then I ask myself: "How do I get a bass in here", "which plugins should I add to the mixer", etc, etc.
The problem with this is, I try to find resources on youtube, but a lot of those don't cut it, are vague, or just ad-ish types of videos.
Can someone help me find resources to REALLY learn?
PS: I make horror music for games and I usually use Synths like Vital
Thank you!

I was trying to use my phone as a microphone via WO Mic, but when attempting to connect it using FlexASIO, it seems FL doesn't recognize it; there’s no sound. Has anyone else experienced this?

How to fix this

I began making this the other day, and I still can't quite determine what genre it would be. Do any of you have an idea? It's still in the very early stages, but I have the meat of the melody and drum pattern down. It is very different from the stuff I typically make, which is trap beats and other experimental hip-hop beats. Also, how does it sound? Anything too loud or quiet? Any changes to make?

I lowkey wanted to experiment with changing the kicks/808s during the flow switch as well but ended up keeping it the same. Might try it out on a different project though. Any suggestions when doing flow switches? Other instruments to change up?

I lengthened it a bit, added some more whistling tracks and used Alter/Ego for some weird alien vocals at the end.
