Hey everyone, I tried the FL studio AI yesterday for the first time because I has a tedious application and it was actually insane.

So, FL advertised GOPHER with being able to do tasks like "lower channels 1-3 by 3db"

I needed my first 23 mixing channels to be lowered by one db so I tried asking the ai to do exactly that.
-> didn't do anything
it told me it did something else to lower the volume but I tried again telling it to use the faders.
-> didn't do anything but told me it did the exact thing I asked it to do
asked it to do it correctly.
-> it mutes all 500 channels by pulling every fader down to "-INF db"
I asked it to revert that
-> boosts all 500 faders to the max by putting them on the max +12 db

Thanks, AI - this is why RAM costs a fortune and our climate will get even worse. Honestly if this thing was an algorythm programmed by hand, it would probably be a LOT more useful.

I‘ve known Cymatics for a long time now - recently I realized they are just giving away free stuff (plugins and samples) on mass on their livestreams, which most of them you can’t even get when the livestream is not running. Also the paid plugins you can get on a „discount“ only on the livestreams.

Some of the plugins definitely use ai for their UI (which is weird but isn’t really affecting the creative process of making music directly) and also Steven said in a livestream multiple times that he doesn’t have anything against Suno.

For me that smells a bit fishy. Also the frequency they are pumping out new plugins is… worrying… to say the least.

Does anyone know if they use ai in their samples/plugins, apart from the case mentioned?

I've wanted to make a song like this but I just cant seem to find a plugin thats free and able to replicate the bass like this video. Please help me find a plugin!

This is my first attempt at hybrid trap. I got inspired by IsoXO, Moore Kismet, and Viperactive to make this. How is it?

Old projects with Wasp were broken for me since FL went 64-bit only ("This plugin doesn't have a 64 bit version"), so I made ReWasp: a bridge that runs the original 32-bit Wasp inside modern FL.

• old projects load with their Wasp patches intact
• same sound, bit for bit (it's the real Wasp)
• automation and the knob right-click menu (edit events, automation clips, link to controller) work

One-click installer, open source, uninstall puts everything back: https://github.com/mickeyperry/rewaspCatch: you need the Wasp from FL Studio 12 or older installed on the same PC (it uses your copy, doesn't ship one). FL 20's Wasp build isn't supported yet.

Me and chat have been trying to figure this out for hours. When I enable the send from insert 1 to master and I choose "In 1" which my guitar is connected to It creates a very bad echo, when I turn it down it goes away but so does the sound of the guitar itself. I unplugged my mic from my audio mixer thinking it was picking up the sounds somehow but that didn't resolve the issue. I don't have any plugins selected, it's just the raw sound of the guitar being echoed from somewhere. It gets worse when I turn the volume up. But if its low enough the sound will repeat but it won't build into the screeching noise unless the volume is around midway. I use the Aveek F-54 mixer which I've been told separate things about it being able and not being able to record properly on fl but so far, the echo is my only issue with it.

Before you scream about money and sustainability: The burn rate is real, but I still have cash for a few more months and I want to keep working full time with full energy on this project for now 🙈

​This time I finally and officially released two tracks in collaboration with another artist and learned a lot from it. It was a very good experience overall.

​On my last post, I got comments saying that my productions were a technical flex, uninspired, not original, badly written (composition wise). And that I need to get a music teacher.

​They're right, and that's how I feel too (started 3 years ago with no musical background and was focused on sound design and mixing all this time). But I don't feel like taking lessons. Instead, I break down tracks I like and try to understand how the melody reacts with the harmonies underneath, how it's temporally structured (avoiding getting stuck in one rhythmic pattern per bar, etc.).

​In the end, idk if I'm doing well, but here's the last project I've been working on. I already sent it to an established producer and I'm waiting to hear back about a collaboration 🤞🏼

​Quick update on socials: It's flat everywhere because I'm currently focused on youtube. The channel grew to 300 subscribers (I'm honored that they found interest in my lame productions, will do my best to give back to them by getting better at making music) and 1 of my tracks got 20k views with a 54% retention rate. Apparently this is a good performance, so I'm happy about it and plan to keep it up 😁

I pushed Kontakt 7 with Cinesamples Forbes Pipe Organ to over 9,200 voices on a laptop. The CPU meter hit 747% and now my room sounds like a jet engine preparing for takeoff. Should I call Image-Line or NASA?

I like to make world/ambient music but not really sure how to progress the track.

I'm really proud of this track. I think it's one of my best, and was my first attempt at a purely ambient track.

I plan to possibly make small changes before Halloween if I think of anything.

Not sure if its possible, but would be so nice to preview the audio from the playlist to remember what the hell that idea sounded like lol. Sometimes it takes 5 min to load up an old shitty project!

Still a work in progress but I'm going for a progressive mood, definitely want to add some more automations or change up the melody more in some sections to make it less repetitive. Looking forward to mixing this cause I think it'll really bring out the ambience better. I threw in a visualizer/gif I made of myself driving my car home last night in the rain, thought it fit the vibe pretty well. (filmed on my go-pro).

Would love to hear some feedback on what I should add, change or take out. Thanks!
