I get he has been a moving goalpost and even teased several times that a character was stronger than him but the general consensus is that he is still above Goku and Vegeta.

What version of Beerus do you prefer and why? Anime, Manga, Movie or remake?

Obviously with the assumption that they will change dramatically.
For me personally, the entirety of RoF has a grand total of 1(?) Good cut that only needs a redraw (vegeta vs frieza) and the rest is fully remade thanks to the animator not even being an animator who animates fights, poor guy was put under loads of pressure.
Everything in universe 6 tournament arc was either mediocre or straight up bad so i'm also looking forward to that.
Ep 2 made me very hopeful for what they will show in the near future. I also hope they make frieza more threatening and make the vegeta vs cabba fight more dramatic

I really thought that they would just correct like 2-3 scenes and release it as a movie. But the way they did it lead to more of a change than I thought it would.
Watched episode 1 and Goku's introduction as he trains remembering Freiza and all had a SOLID impact. and the way that Kamehama cuts to Beerus seeing visions of SSJG felt masterful.
if we see more of such continuity going forward it would be so much better than I expected.

So, with Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 2 releasing, I've seen a lot of discussion on X (Twitter) talking about how when Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 1 against Beerus, he has the softer, calm eye-shape reminiscent of how he and Gohan appeared when they exited the Hyperbolic Time Chamber during the Cell Saga (Super Saiyan Grade 4 or "Mastered Super Saiyan"), and a lot of people are saying that Toei finally remembered that Goku mastered Super Saiyan and that it should require no effort/screaming/strain whatsoever.
I get the sentiment, and maybe this is Toei showing us that they do remember Grade 4, but... I don't know if it's particularly that deep in this instance? I think all the instances where Goku looks more serious or is putting a lot of effort into turning Super Saiyan is merely for spectacle and to make him look cool as opposed to Toei forgetting that Goku mastered it and thus should never look like he's"putting too much effort" into it. I'm even seeing Totally Not Mark's re-imagined fight of Goku Vs. Beerus on King Kai's Planet catching strays now that it's being compared to Toei's version because when Goku transforms there, it's not instantaneous and he doesn't look calm when transforming.
The Yo! Son Goku special, Daima, the Broly Movie, etc. Those are all instances where we see Goku put "more effort" into going Super Saiyan, but it's purely in service of being visual spectacle to make the scene more exciting. And I think those moments are okay. And neither Toei or Toriyama were that consistent when it came to always depicting Super Saiyan post-Cell Saga as more calm when transforming. It's an understandable critique, but I don't think it's a matter of "Toei finally remembers!" and is more of "We just wanted to depict Goku transforming more casually at the start."

I also added audio bits from OG episode 5 as for the English dub
(sorry if some parts sound a bit shoddy)
Should I do a part 2?

Ok so I've been thinking about this for the past few days. So when we see black Frieza we see him transform to kill gas and then again to one shot the Saiyans. But I've been thinking, why doesn't he just stay transformed from killing gas? It's only a few extra seconds and then the thought occurred to me. What if it can only be around for a few seconds? Not because of a stamina issue or anything but more like maybe the kaioken originally? Bc that was only a short term boost for certain strikes and attacks. I know he definitely didn't repeat his mistake a third time of using max power and burning out his stamina but maybe his genetics or something prevent his transformation from being sustained. But I'm not sure just bc we only see him one time so I wanna know your thoughts on this
