Diablo II Getting floored by Duriel
So i jst started playing diablo 2 resurrected for the very 1st time and Im honestly loving it. I rolled an amazon and I completed act 1 without any deaths. Knew I was a bit underleveled for act 2 so I went ahead and farmed Andariel for a bit and that ended with me getting my 1st ever diablo unique item 'The Gorefoot'. The thing is I died only twice throughout all of that but I am getting smacked in the face by Duriel in Tal Rasha's tomb. Is that difficulity spike normal or did I somehow brick my character?

Diablo I Did any of the mockup hoaxes of extra Diablo 1 levels like an underwater part of Hell survive to be seen today?
They were edited screenshots that would have been on fan websites before Diablo 2 released. There were more than one showing unusual ideas for the secret levels, I think a version of a cow level was also involved. The underwater Hell may have shown something like a drowning mechanic with an air breath bar.

Discussion If we were to get a spin-off of a different genre what would y'all want
Personally an Arena Fighter but like in the style of something like the pipeworks Godzilla games like imagine fighting in Tristram as Diablo against your bro who's playing as Tyrael and Bul-Kathos and The Butcher are also in the match or something doesn't that sound like the coolest stuff ever

Art I was about to toss this old Diablo statue I have, but before putting it in the dumpster I looked it up and it might be very rare. Does anyone know about it?
I got this from a friend a few years ago. I thought he got it from some expensive pre-order version of Diablo 3, but looking online now I only see that it was for sale directly from the manufacturer. It says there were 2000 of them, but this is a bit different. It's unpainted, marked "artist's proof edition", has some small differences and isn't powered. Google's intrusive AI says it was never for sale and was basically a pre-production item for blizzard to review, but it doesn't give a source for that info, and I can't find anything about it myself.
I specifically remember a conversation with my friend where he was going to sell it but found that it was worthless and gave it to me. It's been sitting collecting dust and I was about to toss it before checking it online. I've lost contact with the person who gave it to me so I can't ask them for details.
This is the regular version of it: https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/diablo-diablo-sideshow-collectibles-200219 . I believe those are marked with their # out of 2000.
This is the only thing I can find of the artist proof version: https://www.ebay.com/itm/127545174897 . I don't know if they're supposed to be marked but mine isn't.
The one I have is built, although I do have the original box with an artist's proof edition seal. The styrofoam has a second artist's proof seal, although it's ripped open.
I'm a huge D2 fan but I have no love for Diablo 3. I wish this were a statue of D2's diablo, but to me it's just taking up a bunch of space.
Does anyone know about these, or have a source of what exactly the artist proof version is?

Diablo IV New player needing some advice please?
I'm a noob at this game, my Paladin is somewhere around level 40-48. I'm wondering is it possible for Heaven's Fury to have zero cooldown and if so, how do I go about achieving this? I'm not worried about whether its a meta build or not, just want to have fun playing a skill i think looks "cool" lol. Also want to increase the damage on that holy aura passive. Do i just need to have increase attack speed, or should I use items with holy aura, holy damage, Judicator % in my yellow coloured gear?
Diablo IV Baal runs.
So its t12 or t4? I go in baal run on t8 and it changes to 12. If I use the seasonal tab for chapter 5 or whatever and teleport to the dungeon from there its a t4 dungeon. There is no in between?

Discussion Questions from a beginner
Hello, I have some questions about Diablo. I have never played a Diablo game before.
Are these games a good experience for single player only? Diablo looks very cool but I have no desire to play online. It is not clear to me what the game is like as a single player.
Which game in the series would you recommend to start? I have a Switch 2. Thanks

Discussion Maybe I’m the next Archangel of Wisdom
If you’re interested in the incredible lore of Diablo, these books are absolutely worth reading. There’s so much more to the Diablo universe than what we see in the games. I highly recommend them to any Diablo fan!

Discussion Diablo 2 R first person mod
Hello , all I am looking to find the correct links to get the first person diablo two experience.
I am aware that downloading the D2R 3D standalone will crash within 1 minute. Therefore, I am looking for the camera plugins for D2Rloader (I have) which I cannot find via my copilot search or ChatGPT search. I simply can't find it.
I have a fresh offline install of Diablo 2 that should not interfere with battle net authenticity, and I've already been able to load diablo 2 game through D2R loader.I just need the plugins to put in D2R.
Is it possible that it is now no longer available? If anybody is able to assist in this, please provide a workable link or some sort of resource that I can get this going.
I very much would like to see Diablo 2 in first person to bring back lots of memories in a different way. I was actually a beta tester back in 2000 for diablo 2 and have the beta cd on my wall, I have a long history with computer games. After seeing the first person view on several different websites , I was simply taken away.Thank you ever so much in advance

Discussion Where did blizzard say that D4 was going back to the roots of D2?
So many people here are making this claim. Having kept up with the development of D4, Blizzard had never said this at all.
The only time Blizzard mentioned about going back to D2 roots was Blizzcon 2026 and judging by the concept art and the UI of D5, it looks far closer to D2 than D3/D4.
For those that believe this, link me the post where D4 was going back to the roots, cause I cannot recall blizzard saying this during development.

Diablo I When I first tried Diablo my reaction was: If games are already so good how sick will they be when I grow up? 30 years later I'm still playing Diablo
I was maybe 9 or 10, sitting next to my cousin's beige PC tower, and he pranks me by letting me play for a bit, and letting me walk into the Butcher's room. That "Ah, fresh meat!" has been etched firmly into my brain ever since lol. Eventually I got my own PC and one of the first games I played on it was Diablo. It literally felt like a horror game for me as a kid, probably because I was still a bit traumatized from the butcher scaring me.
It was the first “serious” video game I saw and I remember my cousin and I talking about how awesome it was and how we can't wait to see what games will be like when we grow up. Little did we know we would still be playing Diablo three decades later.
I was totally obsessed with Diablo 2 when it came out, after that I was playing every ARPG I could get my hands on. A lot of Dungeon Siege with my cousin, then I remember Titans Quest, and the hype for Hellgate London (probably my first big gaming disappointment). You would think the genre would go through many transformations and evolutions throughout the years but essentially it has just been honed and polished, the core that Diablo established is still intact.
These days I’m still following the ARPG scene closely, mostly playing every non live service game I can find, since I don’t have a lot of free time for gaming and I hate the fomo of not being able to play when a new season drops. Currently still playing the most recent Grim Dawn expansion and some D2 Resurrected from time to time. I also have a few games I’m hyped for, waiting for 1.0 No Rest For the Wicked (I don’t play early access games) and The Dark West looks awesome, I’m a sucker for weird settings so this occult western theme seems really fun, and guns are so satisfying in ARPGs that have them. None of these games would even exist if Diablo never came out.
That kind of staying power is really rare. If I think about what else from those years I still play in some form, the only other game that comes to mind is Counter Strike. It still feels like CS despite the modern graphics and changes, I'm not that good but I enjoy playing with friends from time to time.
To me that's proof that when people make something with genuine passion, it can end up bigger than the sum of its parts. On paper Diablo was a pretty simple game but you could see the passion behind it. I really hope the franchise stays strong for a long time, Diablo is timeless.
