Finishing up an eva prop for halloween and I just used up a small tin of Barges cement and I still need a bit left to finish my project but I don't really want to buy another tin because I hate having leftover contact cement 😭 I don't live in a very large apartment and my storage options are kind of limited so I'm not super comfortable with a semi open bucket of contact cement in my home.
I saw that there might be contact cement available in tubes similar to e6000... Anyone have any recommendations on brands available in the US? I was thinking of buying Beacon Quick Grip but all of the reviews are for furniture or doll making...

I wore this cosplay costume last year and a friend had somehow closed it for me. I’m wearing it again tonight and I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

I don’t think that doing makeup for the eyes would look very good/last a long time. Any advice or ideas would help. I’m stuck!

Hey, I’m going as Carrie for King Con. I found the perfect dress for Carrie. The fabric is satin. I don’t want to add too much to the outfit since it’s already kind of red and pink. I was thinking about adding a little bit of fake blood on the bottom and some splotches on the top. Any advice on products for cheap fake blood that works on fabric?
New cosplayer here!

I'm a little unsure how to construct this dress so I can actually get in it.
The way I currently see this outfit consists of three main pieces: the leggings, top, and the free-hanging decorative garment at the hips, including the red trim on top (I call it the apron for lack of a better word)
With the zipper on the back as on the original model, I would still have to somehow stretch the red part over my hips, which seems like it will either be too tight or cause it to flap over like bunny ears on the top due to it not being form-fitting anymore once the zipper closes.
If you want to look at the source material in your browser in 3D: https://phoshco.github.io/model-viewer/isolde
Do you guys have any idea how to put the apron on the outfit while maintaining this snug fit at the hips?
Any advice appreciated

I have the helmet, the armor I have mapped out. Everything except for the damn cloak. I cannot figure out how I’m going to do this.
It seems like there’s layers to it. Sewing isn’t really an option for me right now and I also know nothing about it. I found a couple things on Amazon, but I don’t think they’ll do.
Does anybody have any advice for me?

I need this for my Jolyne cosplay for Halloween, but I want to make it myself. Does anyone know of a pattern similar to this jacket I can buy somewhere?
(And how many yards of fabric should I get)
For reference I’m more of a fursuit maker, I don’t know how to make my own clothing pattern :,/
Edit: please don’t dm me advertising your custom services, I’m trying to learn how to make this myself

Helloo!! I’m going to be doing a cosplay from the Roblox game Animal Hospital soon, and I’m planning on doing a little shoot with my friend. Do any London cosplayers know of any locations (ideally indoors) that may be good backdrops for a hospital or horror location? I’m thinking of maybe even looking at (not super busy) tube station corridors as they have the sort of grungy white background with clinical bright lights that I’m looking for, but I’d love any suggestions. Ideally in/around Central, East, or South West.
Thankyou! Xx

I'm pretty nervous on buying armor patterns due to how much AI content there is now! Especially with my characters armor, I don't want to waste time or materials on a piece that won't function / uncomfortable. Any suggestions for reliable patterns?

Hey! I accidentally bought Plasti Dip Glossy instead of the regular for my EVA foam armor pieces. Would I still be able to paint over this like with regular plasti dip?

Hi! I wanted to make some music sheets look old and faded but the problem is, as I printed them I'm scared the ink will get runny and blobby.
What methods should I use?

Help! I need ideas on how to craft (or where to otherwise purchase) a riot shield prop. It’s not exactly a rush, but I’d super appreciate any help in finding riot shields or a way to make one myself.
They’re one of the few props I find that are never made of anything but ACTUAL metal lol. I’d like something that’s preferably not $500 haha

I modeled this helmet in blender working with a lower poly count. I sanded the edges to be much smoother and added some filler primer only to realize its still bumpy. Is there some way I can fill all these shallow gaps since the filler primer doesnt seem to work with more coats and so I dont have to keep sanding the plastic any further.

Hi! I’m planning to put together a few Overwatch cosplays, but one that’s especially important to me is Mercy, specifically her original Overwatch 1 version. I’m currently 3D printing her staff, but I’m finding the costume itself a bit challenging, not so much the props, but the armor pieces and the fabric components. If anyone has already done this cosplay or knows what kind of fabrics and materials I could use, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Attending a Halloween wedding as Ryland Grace (Project Hail Mary) and have a 3D printed Rock (about 1/4 scale) I'm trying to affix to my shoulder without falling off.
I'm wearing a jumpsuit, unzipped and tied around my waist and a T-shirt.

I am wanting to add a tail to a pretty dainty dragon costume. Rather than having it swing behind me and take up space, I was thinking I could have it wrapping around and down my leg but I am not sure what materials I can achieve this with. I am a novice and am just trying to create something cute for Halloween. Thanks in advance!

I'm following this tumblr tutorial for the Long Fall Boots from Portal 2 (Portal 2 Longfall Boot Tutorial – @steeltowncosplays on Tumblr) and she used a "3/16" x 4" aluminum bar, 6061 alloy". Now there's two weeks to Halloween and I'm a procrastinationalist, so somehow I'm gonna make these by Halloween night. But where can I get such metal bars for a cheap price (up to $60)? Is there a different kind of metal that I can use instead that is easier to acquire?
I've looked online but all I can find are really sketchy-looking websites that don't have product photos because everything is custom ordered. That can't be my only resource, right?
btw I'm not opposed to dumpster diving or otherwise looking in scrap metal places

I was wondering if I could someone's opinion on this.
Working on making functional chainsaw arms and I'm not sure what to do for Part A. Part A is about 96 inches long and the guide is suggesting sintra, or wood in either 3 or 5mm. I dont really have the space or tools to cut wood and I cant find a sheet of sintra thats that big.
I was wondering if yheres any suggestions on what to use for Part A to keep the whole arm rigid

Me and my friend are doing smoke and stack for Halloween, and I really wanna do the eye effect he has when they turn into vampires, but I’m ngl I’ve never in my life worn contacts so I wouldn’t know where to find ones with this effect or anything. I was just wondering if anybody knew where I could buy some like these that’ll hopefully arrive before Halloween. I have some references attached

For some reference, this is the Rat King from Deadlock.
In regards to my current progress on the cosplay, I've been collecting a lot of different white blankets that I intend to use, dyeing them later on with a prominent red/bourbon colored for that regal look. Using two different reds for that sporadic, "i put this together from scraps" look.
However, it's the greenish/brown grime that I don't know how to replicate. I'm hoping I could get some insight on how to do something like this, without just dragging the fabric through the mud and sewers, or at the very least, hoping I still smell nice. My current plan right now is:
- Use Spray paint or dipping it in paint with a fade upwards, damaging the cloak for future use but probably could work.
- Maybe using real dirt. Probably not this one. That's gross, and I'd have to REALLY go out of my way to look for that.
Any help would be appreciated! Guides, advice, anything helps.

This is technically more a costume than a cosplay because it’s for Halloween but I’m posting it here becsuse I’m sure ya’ll will be able to help me. I’m trying to find black and white striped fingerless gloves for my FNAF marionette costume, but everything I can find is knitted and built for warmth and I know that’ll piss me off because it’ll make my hands hot. Does anyone know of any that are made of a sheer mesh material so my hands will stay cool? Only requirements are it has to arrive before Halloween and not be ridiculously expensive. Please let me know if you have any recommendation!

(please ignore the dry looking spots, i have psoriasis :/)
long post ahead
hi! i have been cosplaying for a while now, but i still think of myself as a beginner, i'm quite self conscious about how i look like so most of my previous cosplays were that of masked or characters where i could cover my face
however, i was thinking about possibly coming out of my shell a bit, as anxious as it makes me i'm also aware that i would have a larger choice of possible cosplays if i actually decided to show my face
make up is important for me when it comes to cosplay, particularly eye makeup since i feel like it can change how you look like significantly, problem is that i'm a complete noob, i haven't touched eyeliner for a very long time out of fear and have just started experimenting
my main issue is that i can't figure out a proper eyeliner shape/style for my face, i'm cursed with small looking eyes and i'm aiming to make them appear larger as well as more defined, but i'm not sure how to do that, whenever i try i feel like it doesn't fit my eyes (if that makes sense)?
can anybody please guide me in a good direction? i'm struggling to figure out how to draw my eyeliner so that it actually helps define my eyes, guides, tutorials, anything is appreciated, sorry if this is a stupid question but i'm unsure where else to ask
(my eyes aren't "hooded" but they are partially hidden by my brow skin(?) since they sit further back on my face)
