It appears Proposition 135 is causing problems and solving nothing.

I covered this weekend’s No Kings event, where speakers from progressive activist groups discussed this year’s many ballot initiatives:

I went round and round with them this summer because they missed a MONTH of pickups for a two yard bin.
Every time I called, they’d lie to me about it had been picked up or it would be picked up. One guy told me it was documented that they picked up at 230AM that morning.
The trucks don’t run at that time and I was staring at an overflowing bin.
They finally resolved it and asked me to stay. I agreed. My bad.
They missed picked up last week and didn’t notify me. Last straw.
I have now talked to 4 people and no one can just cancel my service “Willy nilly” and are saying they now only show one missed pickup in the system.
It’s damn near impossible to cancel for poor service. They said this morning that we have a service agreement in place. I have for over two years. What is this? Locked in for life? I lost it this morning.
I just need reliable service and I need this bin gone. They make us ridiculously hard to cancel even after over 12 missed pickups.
BEWARE

I’m trying to verify if anyone saw a bus accident on Platte this morning involving a black mustang. It could have happened Saturday at 2:48 too according to the picture I was sent. I was definitely told though it was this morning but the lighting in the picture is too bright imo to be that early at 7.

Since moving here, looking for a new gym that's nice enough. I'm reading mixed Google reviews on Vasa fitness but seriously considering them. What are y'all's thoughts?

So I like many people have sleep apnea. And i went to a sleep clinic and got a cpap.
But then i dealt with Apria. They supply the machines. And they are the worst.
I would love to know if anyone here in the springs uses someone else for their CPAP.
Looking for a supplier. Thanks.

Has anyone not received their mail in ballot yet?
No one at my house has received one. I checked online and it says they were mailed out on October 5th and all my information is the same as it's been for the last 10 years.
If I don't get it soon, is there something I can do?

Hi all! I’m looking to meet more people around town, so I’m starting with two things I enjoy: books and soccer.
Book club: I’d love to find a group that meets regularly, whether monthly at a coffee shop, a brewery, or someone’s living room. I’m open to most genres. Bonus points if the group mixes fiction and nonfiction, but I’m flexible. If your club is open to new members, or you’re interested in starting one, let me know!
Adult soccer: I’m also looking for a casual pickup group. I played in school, and I'm a bit rusty, so I’m mainly looking for something fun and low-pressure. If your team needs a player, or you know of good leagues or pickup times around town, I’d really appreciate the info.
Thanks in advance, and feel free to comment or DM!

Just wanted to share an event this Friday taking place at the Wagon Wheel Nite Club (2308 E Platte Ave) featuring a bunch of local bands and musicians! From Alt to Grunge to Metal, we got you covered this night...
You might know Cobalt Mountain from his absurdly epic cover of TOXIC on America's Got Talent. Currently operating out of Colorado Springs, Micah slaughters the stage with incredible experimental death-metal covers. He will be bringing his immaculate voice to the stage at the Wagon Wheel this Friday, with support from local bands The Hollows, Dumb Luck and The Beyonders!
Even though it's a week before Halloween, we'll all be dressing up, so costumes are encouraged. The show is all-ages, 13$ advance or 15$ at the door, with doors opening at 6 music at 7pm
Support Colorado Springs local music! See you at the show!

With the Wells Fargo Plaza foreclosure, I’m curious if anyone has speculation based on experience as to what will happen with the antlers hotel? I know we’ve all heard it could become apartments. Does anyone know if that actually might happen?
I don’t know if anyone’s looked into the OneVela building (proposed new high-rise), but it looks like it’s not gonna be built. The development firm is asking for more money from investors because they don’t think there’s a need for any more apartments downtown right now and that was like over a year ago.
Just curious if anyone in the field has any idea what might happen? Thanks
