Hi everyone! I'm creating a colony sim game which will hopefully take care of all the problems that are currently in colony sim games. And i would like to hear your opinion on what you like and dislike. And what would you want to see in such a game.

Release Frostpunk on Switch sounds like a dangerous idea for my free time

Frostpunk is already one of those games where you tell yourself "just one more turn" and suddenly it's 3 AM. Now imagine being able to play it literally anywhere.

Video Pixel Metropolis – First look at the Antiquity era

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to share some progress on Pixel Metropolis, my historical city builder where you develop Paris from Prehistory to the Modern Era across seven different eras.

The free demo currently covers the Paleolithic, Neolithic and Metal Ages, and is available on Steam if you'd like to give it a try : https://store.steampowered.com/app/5166960/Pixel_Metropolis/

In this new dev diary, I'm showing a first look at Antiquity, which introduces more traditional city-building mechanics: land value, noble residences, customizable plazas, expanded agriculture with freely drawn farm estates, and more complex trade and supply chains.

One thing I'm particularly interested in is making the transitions between eras feel gradual, with older buildings and traditions slowly giving way to new ones as your city evolves.

Happy to hear your thoughts and feedback!

I'm really happy to finally share my Townscaper inspired game's trailer after 5 months of development

Hi! My name is Cody and I've been working for nearly half a year on my game, Treehouse.

It started as a side project to learn how games like Townscaper and Tiny Glade work, since I love those games and from a game tech side, they're also so wonderful. After 5+ months that "side project" has turned into a very real game and I finally got around to making the trailer and publishing the Steam page just a few days ago.

The gameplay is pretty straight forward: you place houses along the ground and if you build upwards, they become treehouses. You place walkways, ladders, and connections, and the trees grow with your construction. You can change the seasons, the lighting, weather, and add some fog.

I also decided to let the player/treehouses write the game's music. Each treehouse is a radial sequencer, and as you place new rooms or towers or walkways, new notes or rhythms evolve. A single tree can sound great, and a grove can sing together.

If you've actually read this long text thanks so much for checking it out, please comment if you have any feedback or just want to say hi. :)

In my upcoming city builder you can build charming small towns with bustling street life and beautiful architecture

In Smalltown Architect you build charming towns full of life, color and bustling energy - no cars, parking lots and traffic jams. Design beautiful architecture, parks and cobbled streets lined with cafés, shops and restaurants. Relax as you watch your residents enjoy life in your cozy little town.

Gameplay-wise your main objective is to maximize 'town charm', which means creating active and beautiful streets and plazas, attracting tourists, completing little quests and hosting events for your residents.

If you're interested, you can wishlist the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3495910/Smalltown_Architect/

Video Two months ago I showed you my miniature German old-town builder. Here’s what it looks like now

Hi again, I’m the developer of Altstadt (“old town” in German). Two months after my first post here, it now has canals and stone bridges, gardens, villagers and sparrows, dusk lighting and bigger boards. A lot has changed since the last video!

It’s still a relaxed building toy: place houses and streets, and the town works out its walls, roofs and little squares. No budgets, resources or population to manage. It’s meant to stay small and calm.

If that sounds like your kind of builder, you can wishlist it and sign up for the playtest on Steam:
