Hello everyone.
Effective immediately, rule 4 will be tightened up to only allow screenshots of codes as a method of giving away rewards. Typing codes is allowed, but do so at your own risk as bots may skim them as soon as they are posted.
The reason for this change is because of the recent uptick of scam posts. While that has died down thankfully, it did show a bit of a flaw in the rule in that it didn't disallow other methods of sharing reward codes. While soliciting sales is disallowed, we believed it was better to be a bit more tight and clear on what exactly is allowed.
And while we cannot (and will not) police what people do off the subreddit, we as mods have an obligation to ensure that people on the subreddit do not get scammed, and a way for us to do that is by enforcing rule 4 to a tighter degree.
And, as a reminder: you can only post codes as a free giveaway, not in exchange for anything else.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you.
EDIT 7/10: I forgot to mention; asking or otherwise soliciting for codes is NOT ALLOWED. Telling others to DM you for a code is NOT ALLOWED.

Iām actually so annoyed and honestly concernedā¦
I ordered a bowl and burrito, she accidentally put lettuce on my bowl when I never said it so she kicked over the garbage can and grabbed the lettuce and threw it out. Whatever, not the end of the world but was slightly annoyed.
Then she goes to put the garbage back and literally grabs it with her hands and with her same gloves comes back and touches the burrito I was ordering. Like what? Btw she didnāt understand English but whatever Iām not gonna say anything about that but I said hey, you just touched the garbage then the burrito. The coworkers are listening and then she is telling them in Spanish that no I didnāt, then they tell me oh she said she didnāt and Iām like I literally saw her. I was watching her the whole time.
Then thatās when I just got really annoyed and was like if she didnāt even notice she did that. What else has she been touching all day and then peopleās food. She couldāve at least been like oh Iām sorry I didnāt realize or whatever which I understand. She probably didnāt think twice about it but still like I feel like this is wrong.
And theyāre making me look like Iām crazy for not wanting to eat food that was touched after you touched the garbage can. Is that not just common sense and decency.
I never once raised my voice or anything by the way I was talking calmly the whole time to them and I was like hey like just pointing out thatās what happened and they kept denying it so then I was like OK. You know what Iām not gonna have the food Iām leaving and I just calmly left.
Am I in the wrong for not wanting to eat it after that? š
EDIT:
To all the people defending nasty kitchen practices in general, are you not aware that food safety rules and regulations exist for a reason? Every rule has a reason behind it and something has happened in the past for it to become a rule. It doesnāt matter how minor or major. Whatās the point of living in a first world country if weāre gonna have third world behaviors in the food industry? If you want to normalize eating dirty manhandled food, thatās on you. Even though it was a very minor situation in the first place, itās still technically wrong. Also, itās just basic respect for someoneās food. Iām a human, not an animal.
Additionally, if Iām paying 13 bucks for a burrito, the least you can do is not touch the garbage before hand and then gaslight me afterwards to defend yourself and look at me like Iām stupid. Even a simple apology and remake would have gone a long way. That wouldāve resolved the situation entirely.

why do people do thisšyes we tell them to leave and do give them a heads up that the store will he closing soon but then sometimes they go āoh ok ill be out in a couple of minutesā and then take their sweet time finishing up. Like me as a customer, if i know a store is closing within even just the last 30 minutes i rush out- do other people just not have the same kind of common sense and awareness ?

Be better prepared.
Edit: lol I didnāt know it was controversial to expect a store to be consistently open until itās posted close time.

Very weak, almost no heat or spice to it whatsoever. Hoping that the next batch will be better and a tiny bit spicier. That is all.

I saw this get asked before, and it never really had any great answers⦠I figured if it was wrong then Chipotle wouldāve updated it by now.
So, why does the Pollo Asado say it has more protein than the regular chicken?

My Chipotle app is just stuck on the screen that shows the new chips. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Local Chipotle had a new steak today! I'm usually not a fan of the regular steak but this was really good! Sampled it before I got and might even go back for more tomorrow!!! Anybody tried it yet?!

Hi all,
Iām a vegetarian with ARFID and Iām wondering if someone can give me some insight into the whole family meals option.
Iām a corporate worker and I need to find a way to get protein in at lunch. Iāve started making homemade Chipotle bowls, but Iāve struggled to get the same flavor in my black beans as Chipotle. At this point, I am ready to just drive to the nearest location once a week and buy a big container of the black beans (and maybe some rice/veggies, too) to put in my meal prep.
Is there any way I could do this? I looked at the family meals in the app, but it looks like I would be required to buy a protein (which I donāt want to do). Any insight would be appreciated!

I ordered chipotle delivery an hour ago. They told me my ETA was 9:06šš. But theyāve been ālooking for a dasherā for an hour and the Pepper Bot wonāt even let me speak to it. Anything I can do/ do you know how to cancel the order if not through Pepper?

Genuine question for the employees here because I might be overthinking this.
Yesterday I picked up two bowls after work. Walking toward the exit, the bottom of the paper bag gave out and one of the bowls hit the floor upside down.
Rice, chicken, sour cream. Everywhere.
Completely embarrassing. I was standing there holding the remaining handle of the bag like an idiot.
An employee came over with paper towels and helped me clean it up. I told her it was fine, I'd just buy another one.
She said not to worry about it and went back to the line to remake my bowl.
I offered to pay again when she handed it to me. She waved it off and said it was no big deal.
Honestly, after a pretty awful workday, that small act of kindness meant a lot more than she probably realized.
I wanted to leave a positive review and mention what happened.
But then I started wondering whether writing "this employee gave me a free replacement" might actually cause problems for her if that's not something she's technically allowed to do.
I don't know what kind of discretion employees have with remakes, especially when the customer is the one who dropped the food.
And I know corporate policies don't always reward people for being reasonable human beings.
So what's the best way to make sure she gets recognition without potentially putting her in an awkward position?
Should I just leave a review saying the service was excellent and describe how kind she was without mentioning the free food? Ask for a manager next time? Something else?
It feels ridiculous that I'm putting this much thought into saying thank you, but I'd hate for a well-intentioned compliment to backfire.
Employees, what kind of positive feedback actually reaches you and makes a difference?

So on Wednesday while on chips I burned my entire left hand and forearm in hot oil. And instead of having me go home to check it out they made me finish my shift and then made me clean out the kitchen sinks before I could go. (We were getting a 3way audit that day)Once I finally left and went to get it checked out it was second degree burns . I had a shift today and the blisters hasnāt dissolved yet so I didnāt want to risk it . So I texted my manager yesterday to no response. I woke up this morning to a liked message. Is there more to this ? Like Iām unsure if the process was supposed to go like this . Any advice would be lovely

I have 4 Chipotles in my immediate neighborhood, and the discrepancy between them makes absolutely no sense.
The Good 2: These locations make massive, absolute units of burritos. They can barely even close the tortilla. I gladly keep going back to them.
The Bad 2: These locations make tiny, pathetic burritos. They are so small that I feel like I'm literally just eating a rolled-up tortilla. I have completely stopped going to them.
Here is the thing: I know Chipotle isnāt a franchise and all stores are corporate-owned. So if they all have the same corporate training, why is there such a massive discrepancy in portion sizes?
To make matters worse, I only eat veggie burritos with no meat and no guac. I refuse to spend $12+ for just rice and beans if the burrito is going to show up half-empty.
Has anyone else noticed this in their area? Do some managers just strictly enforce "portion control" while others actually care about customer satisfaction?
How can corporate-owned stores be this wildly inconsistent?

I interviewed for an entry level position as a crew member at a newly built Chipotle near where I live yesterday.
I have 6 years of fast food experience, working at 5 different Arbyās across the region, I was even promoted last September to Certified Team Trainer and was awarded āAll Star of the Monthā and āBrand Championā awards several times over my years spent there. I even used to volunteer at a community center in the kitchen as the assistant chef there, for over two years.
My availability was 100% OPEN, including weekends and holidays, literally ANY shift, ANY day, ANY position. She asked me what my preferences were and I told her I enjoyed closing shifts and back of house, but would be more than happy to work any shift and/or position she needed me to, so she could assign me on her staff wherever help was most needed and I would do my very best at it.
She took my phone number again āSo I wonāt have to go searching for it again later onā and told me sheād give me a call before 4pm when her shift was ending but that she had one more interview after me (who was already LATE by then apparently, whereas I was 5 minutes early btwā¦). I waited and waited and got no call. I was already worried anyway because I sort of knew if she didnāt hire me on the spot then I probably didnāt get itā¦
Well today at 1:51pm, I got this text message. The part about āavailabilityā is really upsetting to me because I literally told her I was 100% open 24/7/365 and even told her a story about a time I was at Arbyās until 3:30AM deep cleaning the freezers with my manager at the request of our district manager, so I am even available outside normal business hours and willing to go what I would consider above and beyond for my companyā¦
What did I do wrong? How is 6-8 years of experience, all-encompassing training and certifications, and completely open availability somehow NOT good enough for an entry level crew member position like this?!
Also, I was wearing clean black dress pants, a floral shirt, and a matching peach blazer with my hair in a neat high ponytail and my makeup done well but very natural and subtleā¦I didnāt slouch, or interrupt her, I called her maāam and thanked her several times, and I smiled the whole time and was very friendly and enthusiastic.
I just donāt get it. This is going on month 6 I have been trying to find new job and I am honestly starting to lose hope and become extremely frustrated and depressed.
Any insight or advice for me at all?

I walked in, and there were only about three or four customers eating, with no line at the counter, so I was able to walk right up and place my order.
The employee taking my order was obviously new, and another employee was standing nearby watching her. I ordered a bowl with white rice, both black and pinto beans, and chicken.
She started by putting two small scoops of rice in the bowl. When she moved on to the beans, she added an incredibly small amount of black beans, doing so very slowly and carefully, almost as if she were trying to remove a tiny bug from a bowl rather than serve food. She did the exact same thing with the pinto beans.
When I politely asked for a little more, she immediately looked over at the other employee, who had to nod in approval before she would give me any additional beans.
At that point, I was genuinely curious to see how the chicken portion would go. Sure enough, she put approximately half a spoonful of chicken into the bowl before the other employee stepped in, took over, and began asking me what other toppings I wanted. I just shook my head and continued with the order.
Honestly, it was uncomfortable to watch. This poor girl seemed absolutely terrified of serving too much of any ingredient, to the point where she needed approval just to give a customer a reasonable amount of beans.
Is this really how employees are being trained to portion food now? I understand the importance of portion control and food costs, but thereās a difference between maintaining consistent portions and making customers feel like theyāre asking for something unreasonable by wanting a decent amount of food.

Firstly, I know that it is mostly my fault for keeping going to Chipotle but either way I need to rant)
I went to Chipotle yesterday, I had a BOGO and went with a friend to use it and have a good time, or a decent time at least. Fast forward, I wanted Carnitas as my meat, no Carnitas, wanted Fajitas, no Fajitas, so I waited 10 minutes until they got the fajitas ready, wanted cheese, had to wait also for them to get the cheese re-stocked, when I asked the ladies serving the food they said, we donāt know thatās for the cook to handle. Adding to that they force me and my friend to speak Spanish, these 2 ladies didnāt know a single english word, I am cool because I am latino but my friend is not, so I had to act as a translator for them. If I happened to be born in the U.S or not speak spanish I would be mad as hell because of that. How the hell can they hire and put in the front people that have no english AT ALL?
These two ladies were grown women, +40, and I know what it takes to work at a restaurant, whether is in the kitchen, front or cashier, and how tiring can it be, because I have done it myself, but these ladies act like its disrespectful to ask for things that are BASIC, and are supposed to be included in the service, and even get mad for asking questions, I am a gentleman so I did not say anything rude to them besides asking about the fajitas and politely complaining about it and saying that I was going to wait. But if these 2 ladies were Males I would cursed the f*ck out of them and walked out. I am not at fault of you working a shitty job at that age, you may have had a difficult life or you may be fully disrespectful hence why you are there at that age. Either way thatās is not my fault.
I wonder if Chipotle is like this in South Florida only or also in other states, wtf manā¦
They even charged me for a Steak bowl when I ordered Chicken, and they did not even put extra of the things that I asked, and I am no saint but I am educated and use Please and Thank you AT ALL TIMES.

As a disclaimer, I am in no way trying to bash any employees Iāve ever had. I work in the service industry myself, so I am never trying to talk down on others whose experiences I share the same of.
With that being said, why is it that every time I go to Chipotle Iām waiting for 3-4 workers to complete the mobile orders they have. I understand the need to get the mobile orders done however, I always was instructed in service to deal with the in-person customers first no matter what.
This is beyond first-world problems and I apologize šBut I was just curious if anyone here who has worked at Chipotle, is there a reason for mobile orders taking priority? This has happened at just about every Chipotle in my area, so it must be a thing, no?
