I completed a second friends/family referral and received confirmation for the 20K referral miles but was only credit 10K. Spoke with a few reps and they admitted to this being a known system glitch but advised to wait the whole 8 weeks from referral date. 8 weeks goes by and I call in to follow up and was pretty much told "too bad" and go kick rocks and that they cannot do anything. I was offered a $200 statement credit and but honestly I opened the card and did the referrals for the miles hoping to use it for travel so $200 statement was neglible to me.

I've submitted a CFPB complaint and waiting to hear back.

Anyone come across this before? Their customer service is pretty bad and just transferring me around and disconnecting me and giving me more run arounds.

Got the $900 offer two days ago, I followed the terms and opened 4 lines with device over $400. I am expecting $3600 of cash back.

I just received an email now saying that it tracked but the reward amount is just $2100. Should I be worried? They usually tell me to wait like 90 days for manual review when it doesn't track at all. What about wrong amount? Would they adjust it?

I just received this letter in the mail…“We are closing this account because Capital One has observed activity on one or more of your Capital One accounts that is inconsistent with typical customer account usage.” So they are closing my $200 secured credit card. The balance is paid in full but will this still be a negative mark on my credit report?

First one I got, I didn't get the 200 dollar SUB. This time I made sure I got that SUB...

I opened a 360 Savings account about a month ago to start working on longer term savings. I did have an issue where I never got the 2 small deposits to verify my bank account. Called in, and they cancelled the first request, and I initiated another. It went through normally.

My issue is that they seem to be holding every deposit in a ‘Pending’ state for 10 days.

I could understand holding the initial deposit, but they are now holding my second deposit.

I have been with C1 for probably 10 years. The bank account I am using for transfer is 25 years old, and has been the account used to pay my C1 cards since the beginning.

Is this normal?

It’s not really a ‘problem’, other than it just being unusual.

NOTE: These are not large deposits. $100 - $500.

Capital One

So, I was just on a trip to Europe, my first time, with a brand new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard (after the last one expired), and for the first time in four years as a customer it stopped working as soon as I landed in Europe. I had planned to use it for all of my purchases as it came with some nice benefits, but nope, declined everywhere with an error code. I called them about it (numerous times) and they said they didn’t even see any attempted transactions, except for one decline when it was swiped. So it was a chip error, apparently, but on a brand new card?
A major bummer as I had booked a rental car through them because of a great deal on insurance, which I no longer had access to, and had to get insurance through the rental company. I was also then forced to use a different card to make purchases which came with a foreign transaction fee I was not anticipating or budgeting for.
And so here’s the kicker: when I called them about it (numerous times) all they said they could do was replace the card. No compensation for my lost car insurance, or the foreign transaction fees, or even any points. I know this seems like small deal “first world problems,” but I can honestly say I’ve never been more dissatisfied with any customer service as a loyal customer for nearly half a decade.
So friends, heed this warning: if your Capital One card suddenly stops working for no reason while in a foreign land for the first time, banking on being able to use that card, all they say they can do for you is replace the card, which does nada when you’re not even home.

I have two cards with Capital One That went over the credit limit and were closed by them because of what they says was because of “Activity on one or more of your Capital One accounts that is inconsistent with typical customer account usage.”

I’m wondering if now that they’re paid in full if it’s worth calling or writing and asking them to remove the derogatory remarks on my credit. Has anyone had any success with this? One is reporting 30/60/90+ 4/2/3. The other is 1/1/0.

I have a Venture X credit card, and I added my friend as an authorized user so she can use the card at Capital One to get half off drinks. She spent $18.85. Now I’m trying to figure out whether I pay off the $18.85 on my account portal or on her portal.

I opened my mail today and didn’t think much of the envelope, knowing that Discover had been acquired by CapitalOne. I figured a new replacement card was sent. However, I soon realized that the envelope was addressed to someone else, despite having my correct home address. To clarify, this is not a case of misdelivered mail; the address itself is correct, but the recipient’s name is not.

Has anyone experienced this? I don’t know if it’s a widespread issue—incompetence on CapitalOne’s part where they jumbled up their database. Not sure whether to contact them or do I contact a credit bureau?

My dad said that I got a letter in the mail that I was pre-approved for a Quicksilver Capital One credit card. However, it was sent to my family's address that I have not lived at since November 2025. I've been living in an apartment in Montana for almost a year (I moved for work). I finally got around to getting a Montana driver's license and license plate.

What makes me worried is that 1) when I applied for a Chase credit card (which I was NOT pre-approved for), I was rejected because "they could not verify parts of my identity" which was just not helpful. I have a really good credit score, no debt, etc. My guess is it was because of the move. This rejection was about 3 weeks ago.

With the Quicksilver card that I'm pre-approved for, I'm worried that the fact it was sent to my old family address is not a good sign and I'm going to never get approved for any credit card lol. But don't people move all the time? Why the heck is my address still not updated???

Has anyone else struggled to select the Discover design on the Capital One website or app? The transition caused my card to stop working, so I received a replacement. They sent a generic blue version I don’t like, and I have spent over two weeks trying to switch designs through both the app and the site, only to get repeated error messages. Calling customer service led nowhere, reps offered apologies and suggested I keep trying without understanding the cause.

I received this offer in a Capital One Shopping email. When I click terms & conditions, there is nothing more specfic (i.e., no percentages back by category). Has anyone else had any experience with an offer like this?

I recently was approved for a new card on September 29th. Card was shipped on October 2nd. Still haven’t received it yet. Should I be concerned yet or give it more time?

Good morning , I settled an account with Cap1 back in August I’m currently rebuilding my credit back up. In order to get my discover it card reinstated that is one of the requirements is to have settled. If I dispute it to expedite the process would I get in trouble with capital one ?

Anyone know if Capital One will have their "cardholder exclusive" tickets for the World Series? And if so, when will they be released?

Ok I have used C1Shopping offers in the past. I've also used C1 Offers as well. I need clarification on when you have to use C1 CC or when it's flexible.

So, here's what I think I know:

C1Shopping:

- You have to activate the offer and while offer is active you can use whatever CC you want - you can load additional offers on those cards and stack.

- You cannot activate other CB extensions during this transaction.

Capital One Offers (through C1 CC website/app):

- Here's where I get confused - some offers are clickable - send you to website - and I assume you need to stay within this open window timeframe and complete a sale.

- But I also thought since this is comeing within the CC site/App you NEED to use a C1 credit card as well to make it valid. Is this correct?

- Now within this same eco-system (Offers on CC site) you can add offers to the actual C1 CC - and I have to believe that is when you can only use the C1 card with offer attached.

Can anyone clarify. Again I always believed YOU needed to use C1 CC within the C1 Offers page - and the C1Shopping is agnostic - just as long as you stay on the activated offer page and complete the transaction. In no way - regardless of method - can you stack other CB sites - correct? Adding offers to CC I understand.

So i got a canadian check and i have been having trouble depositing it to my smaller texas bank, they sent me to Bank of America to ask and they said i cant check it out because as a non customer the limit is $4,000 and my check exceeds that amount. The other solution is to open a bank with them but I declined (i havent researched into them). Before the company sent me this check they did tried wiring it to me and ach transfer but it failed because again I have a smaller bank or there were crazy fees. Im thinking about opening an account with Capital one and also opening a Discover student credit card, would this be the smarter choice and can i deposit my bank of america (canada) check into a capital one account..? This is also my first ever big and international check so i have no idea what I am doing

My spouse and I both have our own separate discover credit cards/accounts. My card transitioned in July to capital one, and everything went fine. His will transition October 19th. My question is- he has me manage his card, including using my mobile number for verifications/text alerts etc. I of course use my number for my own account too. Will that mess anything up for him(me) making and accessing his new capital one app? Does he need to change it to his number now in the discover app before it transitions? I've heard that it could cause issues with accessing and setting up his online account with capital one, so I'm looking for anyone who's been through this and knows? TIA

So, I've been toying with churning CC and savings/checking offers for bonus. I logged into my C1 account (at the time just CC) and saw - Get $1500 for opening a Savings 360 account and deposit at least $5,000 for 90 days. I got so excited. So, I opened the account - transferred $10,000 into account during app process thinking this was too good. Then I realized - man this is too good, so I searched around. Doctor of Credit and others stated this was tiered - to get the full $1500 you had to deposit $100,000. But during sign up and even capturing the terms at the end of the signup it didn't say anything about tiered.

The terms at the end are very specific: Deposit $5000 within the next 15 days of account opening and hold for 90 days. Did C1 dupe me? Know I believe the tiered levels of deposits the min was $400 for $10K $750 for $50K and the full $1500 for $100K.

Any thoughts?

During signup I was also presented with the Checking account - I had to enter the code CHECKING250 to get $250 for two $500 DD. Peeps have said this doesn't have to be payroll DD - that C1 will accept external transfer. I will give this a try - though I can do payroll DD - been doing this for other offers recently - pain in the butt but hey $.
