Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care πŸ‘•πŸ’„πŸ‘œπŸ Looking for women's graphic tees

Post image
32 Upvotes

For years, I've been buying women's graphic t-shirts from Curbside Clothing, a US-based company (including the exact shirt in the picture). I like that they have a few different shirt styles for women, including their "dolman t-shirts" as pictured above.

I've been trying to look for a Canadian graphic tee brand, but everything I find is either "unisex" tees only (ie: made for a male body, but don't get me started...) or looks suspiciously AI and cheap.

Ladies, where are you finding nicely cut graphic tees in Canada?

Questions β“πŸ€” J.B. FIELD'S "WOOL WEEKENDER" 96% MERINO WOOL SOCKS

Anyone own J.B. FIELD’S Wool Weekender socks (96% merino wool)?

I’m thinking of buying 3 pairs mainly for lounging around the house. I prefer clothing made from natural materials, so I was impressed to see these socks are 96% merino wool.

For anyone who owns them, how’s the durability? Do they hold up well over time, or do they develop holes or wear out quickly?

They have a store in Toronto that carries them, but I live about an hour away, so I’d love to hear some feedback before making the trip.

I am on the hunt for a necklace for my daughter’s upcoming birthday. As she is turning 7, I would prefer to not spend more than $75. If anyone has a suggestion for stores I would truly appreciate it.

Came across this guy while looking on FB Marketplace. I recently got into raw selvedge denim and was looking to get a quality denim jacket after buying a pair of jeans from Naked & Famous; we had a great conversation about his work proces and they were so courteous about what they could attempt and what they needed from me.

General Discussion πŸ’¬πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Looking for mattress store recommendations near Montreal Qc.

I'm looking for personal recommendations for a good place to buy a mattress. I'm picky when it comes to comfort and need something that works well for back pain.

Good customer service and an easy exchange policy are a must in case the mattress doesn't work out.

I tried the Costco Kirkland Signature Stearns & Foster Lakeridge, but I'm not a fan.

Where did you buy your mattress, and would you recommend the store?

Thanks!

Looking For: Home Goods & Essentials πŸ‘πŸ›οΈπŸ Scented Wax Tablets or fragrance satchets?

Are there any companies that sell products that add scent to closets like satchets or wax tablets?

I recently learned/remembered this is a thing, and need something to add fragrance to my laundry that won't irritate my skin or be overly strong

General Discussion πŸ’¬πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Canadian sci Fi, the other Stephen King

I recently came across Stephen King (not the other one). You can search by Stephen Graham King. he writes queer sci Fi what I will call capers and I am so impressed. I read the first in Souls Blood series and am reading Chasing Cold now. They're not too smutty. They're imaginative, interesting, and kind of easy reads. I'm sort of in love and I want to share because I do love to read Canadian authors and this has been right up my alley.

enjoy <3

Looking For: Food & Consumables πŸ₯«πŸ Canadian Pipe Tobacco?

Especially in autumn, I love to go for walks with a pipe in hand along the beautiful greenery we have in our country.

I have longer purchases American tobacco online. Whenever I went to a smoke shop, what I bought was simply not as good as what I could have shipped in from south of the border, and it was often more expensive.

I want to support local/Canadian and am looking for recommendations for quality Canadian brands that I can purchase online.

Edit: I put consumable as the flair. I didn't see any that were a 100% fit.

Questions β“πŸ€” Help with Gifts for A Friend in France (Woman)

Hi everyone, I am looking for a gift for a friend living in France. I am Canadian and wanted to bring her a/or a few gifts from Canada (budget is under $100). She is very girly and likes all things pink and romance. Please recommend some Canadian gifts.

I am also looking for a gift for my LDR boyfriend's mom that is also Canadian made. She is quite fashionable. Budget is also under $100. Thanks!

I know I can always bring candy and maple syrup but is there anything better?

Does anyone know where I can find Canadian organic powdered sugar? I've only ever seen the "Wholesome" brand. Most importantly - it shouldn't be processed with bone char. Thank you!

Canadian-Owned Businesses 🏒🍁 Buyer beware: Furniture Depot Canada

DO NOT BUY FROM FURNITURE DEPOT BRAMPTON CANADA

Damaged bedroom set, and three months later still no usable bed

I ordered a queen bedroom set from Furniture Depot (Order #OL11372), shipped to Nova Scotia. Several pieces arrived damaged or broken, and the bed frame could not be used. I reported this on July 22, 2026.

On August 4, I was told that any repair, replacement or refund needed the manufacturer's authorization because the order shipped from out of province. They also said they would not issue a refund while I still had the damaged set.

Later they sent replacement rails, described on email as a 'complete rail set'. The parts were wrong: one duplicated a piece I already had, the rails were king-size for a queen bed, and there were too few metal bars. The bed still cannot be assembled.

I paid for this set, and I have been without a usable bed since July. I've been sleeping in my guest room. I have guests coming over and so will have to sleep on a sofa bed on the floor. Yet I have an almost 4000 dollar bed I cannot use.

I looked online and found many complaints like mine. Damaged sets, delayed delivery, poor customer service. I should've read them before committing almost 4000 dollars to it.

If you live outside Ontario, think carefully before ordering from Furniture Depot. When something goes wrong, getting it fixed can drag on for months.

This post is for anyone out there who has been considering buying online from them. Do not make the mistake I made!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

General Discussion πŸ’¬πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ As someone who used to only buy Jazz, Envy or Cosmic Crisp apples, I’ve recently rediscovered Spartan apples. They are amazing.

Yes I’m aware Honeycrisp apples are a thing but I don’t care for the texture. I’ve been trying different Canadian apples over the last few weeks including ones I haven’t had for decades. If you like a Jazz apple, you’ll love a Spartan!

What Canadian produce are you finding to replace US?

Edit: I have so many new apples to try!

Canadian-Made Products πŸ·οΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ New pair of Canada Western boots!

Post image
294 Upvotes

Just got them today, ordered from red heart about 9 days ago, not bad going from Alberta to southern Ontario.

First impression is they are very high quality and the leather is very thick and durable looking!

To be honest the sole feels a little hard compared to my Bucks, and blundstones, but I think they just need to be worked in. This is also my first pair of good year welt boots too, so maybe that has something to do with it, who knows.

These are going to be my around the house work boots, I think I’ll still use Bucks for actual work, bc it’s my understanding their soles are more waterproof due to it not being a good year welt like the Canada westerns.

Either way I’m impressed and hoping these last for a long time! Also shoutout to red heart for the free mink oil and making sure I got my sizing correct before mailing.

Questions β“πŸ€” Endy Customer Support

Anyone with experience with Endy Customer Support and how to contact the 'Warranty Department'?

I received a bed frame with a long black mark on the side rail about 3 weeks ago. Initially Customer support was quick to respond, ask for photos, etc. But then they said they were transferring it to the 'Warranty Department' and now they have ghosted me. No response from this warranty department and they no longer reply to the email thread about my ticket.

I love the bed frame but terrible customer support experience.

Canadian-Owned Businesses 🏒🍁 Winter layers that are ACTUALLY made in Canada

Did a bathroom cabinet post a couple weeks ago, that y'all seemed to like, so I figured winter stuff is next now that i'ts getting cold here in Toronto.

Short version of what I found:

  • Base layer: Stanfield’s Pure Merino top is made in Truro NS. $120. Leggings are also $120 and made in Canada.
  • Socks: J.B. Field’s, knit in Toronto by a family owned company. The Hiker GX crew is 74% merino for $18 (!) For the really cold days they have the Icelandic 30 Below for $23.50.
  • Sweats: Stick to Roots but although they're designed in Toronto, they don’t say where they’re made, so IMO not fully Canadian.

Also nice: J.B. Field’s does a 1 year free replacement.

Still looking for a made in Canada toque and mitts. Anyone got one they like?

Wrote it all up with sources, compared to some US alternatives, here if it’s useful: swapnorth.com/guides/canadian-winter-layers/

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care πŸ‘•πŸ’„πŸ‘œπŸ Need advice: Canadian watch case

I’m hoping to get a β€œmid” luxury watch case for my boyfriend. He has about 10 watches, not suuuuper into timepieces but likes to have some good solid pieces that go with everyday outfits. He has a selhor watch, and that’s about all I know.

For his birthday/Christmas, I want to get him a nice watch case (maybe an 8 or 10 piece) that is affordable but good enough quality. My range is around $200-300. Canadian made is preferred. Any recommendations? I think a blacked out look would be cool or dark green, glass top, and something that looks timeless.

I’ve seen a couple things online but they’re either reallyyyy expensive, or doesn’t look like good quality.

Anything would be helpful! Thank you in advance :)

Canadian-Made Products πŸ·οΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Mistral Compost Bin

Post image
83 Upvotes

Was on the hunt for a new compost bin as I absolutely despise the one that the town usually gives you. I find the compostable bags I use inside those bins always slip off no matter what I do creating a disgusting mess. This one keeps the compostable bag securely in place, is a decent price compared to other ones I was looking at ($17), and turns out it is designed and manufactured in Quebec!

TBH I have never heard of this brand before so I looked into them and it looks like they sell other household plastic items like milk jugs, laundry baskets, even dinnerware. Only downside is you can’t buy directly from them and I think they carry most of their items at Walmart and Home Depot.

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care πŸ‘•πŸ’„πŸ‘œπŸ any canadian alternative ish clothing brands?

In Canada for about a year for work and would love to get some clothes from independent brands based in Canada. Are there any that do more alternative leaning dresses / tops / jeans / jewelry? Looking for a place that doesn’t really do basics but has a more unique and distinct style :)

Both online stores and in person boutiques are welcome!

All help appreciated! Thanks so much :)

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care πŸ‘•πŸ’„πŸ‘œπŸ Small jeweler that does men's rings (lower mainland, BC)

My partner and I are looking at getting matching bands (like wedding rings, minus the wedding). He'd like something a little different and I want a simple version to match.

Do you know of any independent jewelers that make men's rings? I didn't mind ordering online but I'd prefer to be able to look in person.
