Reset issues on CZ bren 2
Hello CZ lovers. I own my CZ bren 2 MS 16,5" in 223rem since 2022. A few thousand rounds went through it. I realise the trigger reset becomes more and more "scratchy", not as smooth as it was. I opened it and here is what i found.
I'm french, not a gunsmith, so the words i use might be wrong, sorry.
The part you see on the picture i'll call it the hammer. When a round is shot, the bolt carrier pushes the hammer back to reset the mechanism (yellow arrow).
As the hammer goes back, it hits the hook of the trigger mechanism (where the green arrow is). since you pulled the trigger, the hook is pushed to the right of the picture and ends up grapping the hammer.
round after round, the friction of the hook against the hammer has pushed steel upward and has created a tiny hook of steel (red shape). you barely see it, but you can feel it as you let your finger slide on the part.
As you release the triggerfinger, the hook is supposed to move to the left and release the hammer but since this little red hook is here, the trigger hook doesn't do its purpose smoothly.
I'd like to file this red thing to recover and smooth straight blue shape and have a smooth trigger reset.
What are the risks? What tool should i use?
