Finally owning a BMW <3

I purchased a 2022 m4 competition X drive with 27k miles , I wanted to road trip the car to Ohio from dallas. I stopped at Oklahoma and slept for a night and woke up to continue my drive , i was driving through missouri going about 75mph and the car started shaking and smoke came out of the exhaust. There was oil all around the ground and I had to tow the car to BMW of st. louis for an inspection. I’m guessing the engine blew on me, I bought this vehicle from a BMW dealer in Texas , what could my outcome be here? Would this be covered by my insurance or would the dealer i bought it from cover it since i bought it 19 hours ago , or would they replace it with another car of a similar spec. I’d love some answers and feedback as I am still in shock that my dream car was gone that fast.

Just placed my order, looks great and I think it is refreshing with a nice link to the past.

Had the M2 for about 4 years but wanted something to Cruise in and drive hard without going to jail. Helps that it’s fiscally irresponsible as well

F82 is the peakest gen of m4 ever
Title
Been a BMW fan since I was a young lad, parents drove BMWs (E36 323i, E39 528i, E91 320d) until I was away for uni. First car I ever drove was their E39 528i. Consider myself lucky to have grown up around these amazing machines.
Recently started using Reddit again on a new account. Homepage fed me a bunch of car stuff, including this subreddit. Always kept most of my car (auti|enthusia)sm within my irl and online groups of friends so I'm not really used to forum posting on the matter.
Why are the "discussions" here so negative and so superficial? Earlier today some bloke posted about ordering a new i3 M50, half the comments are snide remarks about getting the model name wrong (we get it, you are experts on model numbers), the other half are about how ugly it is and how shite the interior is (OP posted no pics of the interior btw). Barely any congratulating the guy on a brand new BMW, asking for the options, specs etc. It's fucking mental to me how this is possible in a subreddit about BMWs.
Lot of the specific-model subs are just as bad. On the X5 sub yesterday, someone asked whether to go with black or matte silver for their new G65 order. Top comments just telling OP how ugly the car is. Have to scroll through a bunch of unsolicited vitriol and smug opinions until any answers to a completely legitimate question actually show up.
What's going on? Whenever I see a BMW I feel happy because the driver shares something in common that they like with me. Doesn't matter if it rolled off the factory line 60 years or 60 minutes ago. how's it gonna be when G50/G65/etc. posts begin to pick up as people order and receive theirs? We just gonna be posting the same smug gifs and pictures, making the same complaints fishing for karma? Very different experience from talking to my mates about cars. We shit talk and banter around but always get excited when someone's garage gets something new. Why's it so negative here?

Two of the best looking SUVs in great colors. X1 is underrated for those who don't need the extra capacity of the X5. Why BMW needs to make major changes to this design is beyond me.

I got to check out the new i3 at the dealership. For anyone wondering what the buttons on the new steering wheel are like: they’re not touch buttons. It’s a mechanical panel similar to the buttons on the current center console, with additional haptic feedback. I had some time to play around with it, and it was very straightforward and quite intuitive. You might have mixed feelings about the steering wheel’s design, but it felt very comfortable in my hands.
new to me 135i! car had good history and i have good amount of cash set aside for n54 repairs as i know how horrendous they could be.
hoping to meet more people in the n54 community so i can stay informed and know the ins and outs for this platform!

I’ve been looking for an M Sport 330i xdrive for a while now, but unfortunately it’s rare to find a nice example in black on the market (pre LCI). With that being said, I was wondering if insurance companies would see that M sport package on the VIN, and raise the premium, even though it’s mainly a cosmetic package with suspension. Any insight is welcome! Also if someone could find me one with Red Tacora seats, send me the link!

For £625 (front and rear) it seems not only expensive but the aftermarket cameras available are also VASTLY superior!
Anyone out there with their experiences and the aftermarket best options?

Just picked up this E90 2008 Lci and wanted to see what people can recommend to make this an insane project car

Is there any good way to fix these chunkes the tire shop took out of my wheels trying to mount my tire? And what would be an appropriate reparation? Two of the 4 wheels have chips or chunks taken out.

A modern daily driver surrounded by a little automotive history. Somehow, the Phytonic Blue looks right at home here.

It had a single owner, no accidents. They are asking $25k for it. I’d like to know what major repairs I should expect and if this would be a dumb financial decision.
Would the cost to maintain this thing be significantly more than a Volvo S60? (The other sedan I was looking at)

I’m replacing my front left axle on my bmw 2014 535i x drive and I removed the old torn axle but I’m having a hard time getting the new one in. Is there a lock in place sound, or a technique to putting in place?

How can I tell if this is real or fake m sport steering wheel?

Hello all, I’m about to replace my HK sound system with Bavsound ones, I figured while I’m taking part my doors, I want to code in a gentleman’s switch for my 21’ 540, could anyone tell me if I can actually code in the button and if so can someone tell me the part number for it. It would need to be the left side, 1, 2, set, front passenger control button.
I’ve included a photo to make it easier to understand what I’m talking about

Hitting a mileage marker and want to know what preventative maintenance is due? Unsure what part to get to replace a OEM fluid, or just don't know what fluid to get to begin with? What's that creaking sound? Ask all your maintenance and repair related questions here!
