Any tips I'm new to gaming laptops , and CPU gets pretty hot when gaming unlike pc's
TUF a16 fa607NUQ
Ryzen 7 170
Rtx 4050
Is there a way to reduce CPU usage and increase GPU usage when gaming

My wife dropped her cup full of water....Stanley cup with Ice and water all into the keyboard. I picket up the laptop and flung it upside down and did a hard shut off.
I tried turning it on after 3 hours. No sign of life...
The power indicator for the battery is not coming on either when plugging in.
Is there a fail safe that will resolve? Or is it shot...?
It's resting on my kitchdn table. Paper towels on the keys and the screen if off the edge open.

I have an asus tuf f16 with a core i7 14hx and a 5050 ,and I also upgraded to 32 gb of ram recently. So I wondered if switching to g helper is necessary given the specs. So is switching to g helper like an optional community standard , depending on your device specs, or a thing that is better, and I must do it . Does g helper actually completely replace my asus and armoury crate ,or just armoury crate?

I've had this laptop for 5 years now, one screw near the top right close the hinge is gone, I've just replaced my thermal paste and putty due to the reason that it keeps throttle to 90-100c before just by being idle. Trying to reset SSD and HDD right now, but having a hard time to send it to gdrive because it keeps overheating and I don't want the parts to be permanently damaged by keeping it on, I'm not really sure if it's a fan issue or even a heat sink issue, any ways to troubleshoot it? My CPU keeps clocking in at .40 cuz of the heat CPU 92-100c and gpu 88-90c

Hello everyone. I own a 2025 ASUS TUF A15 Gaming Laptop. Recently, I have been facing issues such as my wifi dissapearing, lags, ping spikes, and disconnects. I really want to swap out my Realtek wifi card with an Intel AX210. The only issue i have is my 3 Year warranty. ASUS wouldn't let me fix my own fucking laptop with the card and even if I want their mechanics to atleast do that, they say i need their smelly asscheeks wifi cards. At this point, i want the internet to decide my choice, whether to cope with it or fuck off warranty

I’ve been using the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 FROM 5 Months with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, and overall, my experience has been very good. The laptop offers excellent performance, a solid build, and great value for its price range, especially considering the graphics card’s 140W TGP.
The build quality is genuinely impressive. The laptop feels sturdy, durable, and well-built, which is one of its biggest positives. Performance is also great for gaming, multitasking, and other demanding tasks. The dedicated GPU delivers strong performance, and the high TGP is a major advantage in this price segment.
The display is decent for gaming and everyday use. However, it does not offer 100% sRGB coverage, so it may not be the best choice for professional photo editing or color-critical work. For gaming, entertainment, studying, and general productivity, it is still good enough.
The biggest drawback is the battery life. The battery backup is honestly terrible, whether I use the integrated GPU (iGPU) or the dedicated GPU. If you need a laptop that can last a long time away from a charger, this is definitely something to consider before buying. Good performance is one thing, but the poor battery life is disappointing.
Another thing to consider is storage. The 512GB SSD can fill up quickly when installing modern games and large applications, and SSD prices are quite high. I would recommend going for at least a 1TB SSD if your budget allows, especially if you plan to use this laptop for gaming.
Apart from the poor battery life and the display’s limited color coverage, I’m very satisfied with the ASUS TUF Gaming F16. Its performance, 140W GPU TGP, and excellent build quality make it a strong option in its price range. Just keep in mind that battery life is its biggest weakness, and consider getting the 1TB storage variant if possible.
Overall: A great performance-focused gaming laptop, but not for people who prioritize battery life.

Hi, if I get a Llano laptop cooling pad, do I still need to use Turbo mode on my ASUS TUF F15, or can I just use Balanced mode while gaming? Will the cooling pad help keep my temperatures low enough in Balanced mode?

I bought an ASUS TUF GAMING A16 this past July, and everything has been perfect since I bought it except for the keyboard lighting. It didn’t come with an operating system installed, so I installed Windows 11. I didn’t change almost anything in the BIOS; I installed the latest drivers for everything using the MyASUS app (I don’t use either Armoury Crate or GHelper), I also tried reinstalling the operating system, but the problem persists. The backlighting works, but not as it should:
During startup, the lights do turn on until the operating system begins to load; once in Windows 11, they don’t light up until I enable dynamic lighting, at which point they turn on according to the Windows settings. When I disable that feature, they lights up as they should.
I’ve noticed a few things, such as the fact that if I enter the BIOS instead of booting into Windows, the lighting works as it should. I’ve also noticed that when the lighting is working normally, if I shut down the laptop for half an hour and then turn it back on, the lighting continues to work fine; however, if I haven’t used it for a day or two, that’s when the issue occurs.

I definitely think this is a Windows-related issue; it doesn’t affect the computer’s proper functioning, but it can be annoying. Does anyone know what it might be?
If someone need it the exact model is: Asus TUF GAMING A16 FA608UP

I am very confused on whether or not these are better or worse than the presets (balanced and turbo) that the laptop came with. If yall cant see the cpu and gpu, I have a ryzen 7 7435hs and a 4050. If there is anything wrong like "you aren't using ur gpu or and cpu enough for balanced preset." or anything like it, pls tell me. Any additional advice or questions that might solve my tuning are appreciated. (sry for bad picks)

I switched to auto in Nvidia app from Optimus or Nvidia but still when I run some games and I check Nvidia app this tab says Radeon 7xx not RTX. Only game it runs automatically is BF6. In Talos of principle or Cities Skylines, or Low Budget repair game it says Radeon.
I tried in windows settings to switch always use dGPU when those games are running but no effect. Any advice? Is it just bug maybe that say Radeon but dGPU is running? Because all 3 games run very good which is strange, Talos runs at 160 frames and I doubt Radeon can run it that good
Yes laptop is plugged in when I game as it goes in eco when on battery.

Solved: downloaded g-helper, then disable cpu boost
The temperature went from 94 to 70
Hi everyone,
I’m using an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 with the following specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Laptop GPU (8GB VRAM)
RAM: 16GB DDR5
While playing The Last of Us Part I on medium graphics settings at 2560×1440 resolution using an external 2K monitor, my CPU temperature reaches around 91–92°C, while my GPU temperature is around 81–83°C.
I’m currently using Turbo mode in Armoury Crate and getting around 60 FPS.
Is this temperature normal for this laptop under gaming load, or should I be concerned? Would a cooling pad or changing any settings help?
