We recently found a serious mold issue in our home and had to demolish half of it. The kitchen and the entire basement, which was fully finished before, needed to be gutted and torn apart to address the mold. We put all of our life savings into it but cannot continue anymore. Our basement once had the playroom, the second bathroom, our bedroom, my husband’s game room and the laundry room and now only the game room and the bathroom and part of our bedroom has been rebuilt. We need flooring for the entire basement, more insulation and drywall. We need kitchen cabinets and countertops. I figured I would share our gofundme here. I need help paying for my storage unit. I had two surgeries in August, a tooth extraction and a strangulated hernia fix that put me out of commission and unable to work (I do mostly freelance work, but also supplement my income by helping with odd jobs, mostly handyman type stuff and helping people move) for close to 7 weeks. With especially the the hernia surgery, I was unable to do any of that until basically right now. I had a phone call with a caseworker that I connected with through the hospital that might be able to help me with my phone bill/food/hospital bill, but she is not sure if it can cover storage units. I have a follow up call on Monday

I have a storage unit because I am essentially homeless. My mother is in HUD housing and I moved back up to be her caregiver, but the building will not allow me to live there until I am officially her caregiver, which is a process that we started in May and are still waiting for me to be certified (I've completed all the tasks, the company just has not responded to our calls or emails). So I have all my stuff still in storage until I officially can move it in, and have been sleeping in various places until it gets sorted out.

The total amount after convenience fees is about $484 for September and October, but I have $260 after fees that needs to be paid before the 18th I believe before they add on a lien fee of $110 to my account. They do not accept partial payments or payment plans, even with documentation from the hospital that I did have the surgery.

So either $260 or $484 would be a massive help.

I’ve never done this before but I’m desperate at this point. I’ve been out of work since August on short term disability and I’m supposed to get 70% pay on it. But there’s been delays in paperwork and filing so I’ve only gotten one paycheck since I went on disability and it doesn’t look like I’m getting paid again till the end of the month.

My kitten just broke out in some type of reaction all over his head and ears and mouth and I’ve maxed out my savings trying to cover everything since I went out. I thought I’d be paid today but I didn’t receive anything. I’m scared he’s allergic to something but I don’t have any money to pay for the vet. I tried looking into cash advances or temporary lines of credit but because of the gaps in my paychecks I can’t get approved for anything. This is my last resort. It shouldn’t be more than 200 max for his vet visit, he just got his one year shots a few weeks ago but he hasn’t had the booster yet.

I’ve been unfortunately made unemployed with fixed term contract ending in July. I’m on JSA and have had interview after interview. I keep being told I was second best and have 2 more lined up next week. Even trying to get casual or retail work has proven hard and I’m getting daily rejections.

I’m managing to survive using food banks with many mouths to feed, though I have nothing and no idea how I’ll manage Novembers bills without something soon.

The higher cost items, toiletries and pet care, is really making life a struggling.

Went to take son to school this morning to find out my back driver side tire was totally flat.. I have an air pump in my trunk.so went to air it back up but nothing was happening and heard air escaping. So guess tire is just done but don't have a spare and so just stuck here. I am a single dad on SSDI and try to Doordash or Spark for extra income but obviously can't do that in this situation.

Have been calling around and can't find any used tire places with my tire size but Walmart has one in stock near me for $52. If anyone could help out I would be greatly appreciative. Just feeling trapped and desperate not knowing what to do.....

I’m reaching out because I’m desperate.

August last year, one of my brother suffered a heart attack. One month later, another brother experienced the same and 2 months later, I began having similar symptoms which was slight chest pain that was sometimes relieved by burping. My pressure was 168 and I was hospitalised. Throughout the whole 3 days that I was hospitalised, I had a lot of ECG and blood tests done. Sometimes my results were high and sometimes it’s normal. I was discharged with blood pressure and cholesterol medication because they considered my case isn’t urgent but I’m not convinced. A week later after I was discharged, I went to the emergency again because I was still having chest pain but again told that it wasn’t serious and was told to continue my medication until my next appointment.

I came back for my appointment in March this year and did all the tests again of blood test, echocardiogram, ecg with stress test and been told that I have coronary artery disease. I feel like my world stopped when the doctor told me that and I couldn’t hear a thing.

I cry every night because I’m scared that I don’t wake up when I fall asleep and I won’t see my cats and partner anymore. I mean who will look after them if I’m gone. So sometimes, I will lay awake but sleeping late is making me feel worse. Right now, I am doing my best to keep going but I need help.

Deep inside I knew that my constant visit to the hospital is telling me that it’s more than just high blood pressure. I feel that I’m making myself worse so I gave myself hypertension. The doctor advised me recently to proceed with surgery since medications are not making it go away. We have checked with my insurance and unfortunately it won’t cover the whole cost of the operation and hospital bills. It’ll cover about usd5000 but I need an additional usd20000.

I am hoping to rally some community support for my 9-year-old daughter, Avery. She is currently competing in the Stan Lee’s Super Kid competition.

This competition is incredibly close to our hearts. The proceeds from extra votes directly benefit the Stan Lee Foundation, which champions literacy and the narrative arts. Avery was diagnosed with dyslexia in the first grade and has fought incredibly hard to overcome it. Now, reading is one of her favorite things, and she wants to use this platform to ensure other kids who struggle get the tools and confidence they need to succeed.

After years of (SSCD) Superior Semicircular Canal dishesonece, i had a Middle Fascia Craniotomy to correct it. The process has went well but the recovery time of 6-8 Weeks has me fearful about the security of my family of 4 and my wife and I. Me and my wife have little to no family due to being raised by DHS. i just found out about this sub so i hope i am doing this right.

i am in need of $25 so i can get to work this afternoon. i am a single parent of 3, i get paid tomorrow. gas is approx $4.60/gal and my job is 45 minutes away on a good traffic day and approximately an hour and twenty minutes on a usual traffic day.

i asked 4 coworkers if they could spot me but 2 don’t have it [we get paid tomorrow], the third only has cashapp, which i dont have and the forth has cashapp or zelle but my bank account is negative so that won’t help.

i am an RN and cannot miss work; first because my coworkers need me and it’s not safe for the patients when they are understaffed and secondly, i just cannot afford to miss a shift. losing out on over $200 over $25 is just devastating and depressing.

This is a little unusual for me, and I feel a bit shy asking, but I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm a huge fan of both LEGO and SpongeBob SquarePants, and the new LEGO SpongeBob set (11386) is something I'd absolutely love to own. Unfortunately, I can't afford it at the moment.

I've tried saving up for it myself, but whenever I manage to put some money aside, it eventually has to go toward rent, bills, groceries, and other everyday expenses. I understand that those things have to come first, but it has been a little disappointing to keep putting this particular dream on hold.

For the past few days, my little dog Copito has been trying to vomit after eating; I tried changing her food, but I didn't see any improvement. She seems very lethargic and clearly unwell, so I decided to take her to the vet to see if it might be a stomach issue. To be honest, though, I only have $20 left in my bank account, and the cost of the vet visit alone exceeds that amount. I spoke briefly with the vet on the phone, and the consultation fee is $28; depending on the diagnosis, I might also need to buy soft food for Copito. I don't know the cost of soft food since I've never had to buy it before, but I hope or at least assume it isn't too expensive. I usually buy her regular food for just under $23, so I imagine the soft food costs something similar. Even using the money I have in the bank which I know isn't much I’m still short by $31, which is money I simply don't have right now.

My mom passed unexpectedly last year in Portugal. I’ve been trying like crazy to save enough to get her ashes and a few personal belongings back, and take them to her home country of Chile for a memorial.

Because of 4 surgeries and subsequent physical therapy limiting the number of hours I can work, I’ve only been able to make enough for my own expenses.

We recently had some emergency expenses come up medical bills and having to get a new car after ours got totalled and until next Friday, we have very little to live on.

I have been struggling with debilitating symptoms of PTSD and depression. Cooking has been so overwhelming for me, even though I usually enjoy it, that I sometimes just don't eat. I also have fibromyalgia and have been flaring up big time since I got the flu. I am currently job searching, but my husband works, so we should be able to catch up in a few weeks. We are just struggling to just get to next week. I feel extremely guilty reaching out for help, but I feel like I am drowning. Any and all help is appreciated.
