20M visiting Seattle solo - where do people my age actually hang out?

hey yall! 20m from california, currently on an amtrak heading to seattle and about 9 hours away

im traveling solo and gonna be around till the 20th, honestly just wanted to get out there, explore and live a little!

what are some good spots for someone my age to actually meet people? could be social events, cafes, arcades, art stuff, music, gaming, cool neighborhoods, literally whatever!

im pretty into art, film, music, games and creative stuff in general, so anything around that would be sick

also admittedly open to going on a date or meeting someone while im here 😭

not really expecting anything out of such a short trip, but figured why not put myself out there? even just meeting cool people would be nice! :D

appreciate any recommendations!!

Recommendation Events for Halloween for mixed age friend group

Me and my other trans gals from DnD (19, 23, 24(me), 27) are looking at doing something as a group for halloween. The two youngest just moved to Seattle a few months ago, but we're having trouble finding things we might do on that halloween evening. Bars and clubs are off limits for obv reasons, it's a weird range to try and find something for everyone to enjoy. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Question Dating confession: I never make it to the date. Anyone else

I download a dating app, get excited for a few days, match, chat with a few people, and maybe someone even asks me out. Then I just don’t end up setting up a time to meet. Life is busy, and I already know how it tends to end: he gets pushy after one date, he vanishes after a lot of early intensity, or it ends up hurting. So I think “why bother” and stop going out/dating.
Where do things most often fizzle for you when it comes to dating?

24 votes, 4d left
Chat fizzled before meeting (too much texting, slow replies, lost interest)
Got asked out but never went (too busy, why bother)
Plans made, then fell through (cancelled, never rescheduled)
One date and done (no spark, not my type)
Dates 2 to 5, then it faded (fun at first, then went quiet)
Other (tell me below)

Recommendation My friend is turning 23 on Halloween, any ideas for a fun night out with friends?

My friend 22F is turning 23 but her birthday is on October 31st. Since Halloween is on a Saturday this year she really wants to take advantage of it being on weekend. However, she’s having issues deciding what exactly to do. She doesn’t plan to invite more than 5 other friends out with us so throwing a huge party wouldn’t be good.

She’s looking for a good area for possibly bar/club hopping. We also looked into karaoke rooms but not sure based on reviews and pricing. Last year we went bar hopping in Cap Hill which was super fun, but she hoped for something new or not so many cover chargers 😵‍💫.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

We are also open to trying new areas such as Kirkland, Bellevue, etc!

Friends/hangout

Hello, I’m 26F. For the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling really down and lonely. I am getting tired of having to eat alone, and not have any friends around.

If anyone would just want to hang out, talk or eat together. Please let me know

Question Where can I actually buy a pumpkin cheesecake in Seattle right now?

Hi Seattle!

Looking for a pumpkin cheesecake in Seattle this week. I checked Bakery Nouveau, but they aren't making them yet.

Anyone know a local bakery or cafe with pumpkin cheesecake or slices right now? Not interested in grocery store versions - I know Whole Foods and TJ sells them but I prefer to support small businesses. Anywhere in the area works, and I'm happy to travel for a good one.

Thanks in advance!

Is Northacres Off-Leash Dog Park ok for small dogs?

I'd like to take my older Jack Russell Terrier to this dog park but it sounds like it's for all sizes of dogs.

Has anyone taken their small dog here and how did it go?

Is there a place in Seattle I can get Danbing (蛋餅) and Doujiang (豆漿)? I lived in Taipei for close to a year and have been craving Taiwanese breakfast recently.

Anyone with experience of delivering at virginia mason even though your OB is not at VM?

Hi, as title suggests, I would like to deliver at Virginia Mason- Federal way- because its closest to my house, also for context-when I tried to take their prenatal appointment 9 months ago they were not responding, and said they are short staffed so eventually I had to find someone at valley medical center in renton, however over the course of this pregnancy we are kind of disappointed with valley and their system. Would like to know if anyone has an experience of going to hospital & delivering even if your OB doesn't come there? And are EPIC charts connected? Will they be able to access my information?

Question Best breakfast in U District

Gna be down that way this week. Looking for a great breakfast place (more like grab and go then sit down) with either great scones or burritos, bagels or breakfast sandwiches. Or just another form of amazing breakfast. But also at an affordable price.

Also any great spots to get a lotus energy drink or a great latte… maybe pumpkin flavored.

Thanks!!
