which game has the best graphics you've ever seen, and does it still hold up?

I'm curious which game has made you stop and stare at the screen. I don't mean just high-resolution textures. I mean a game where the lighting, art style, or sheer detail made you say wow.

I’d like to hear:

  • Which game has the best graphics you’ve played, and what makes it stand out for you?
  • Is it realism, art style, or lighting that matters most to you?
  • Is there an older game whose look still holds up today?
  • Is there a game that looked amazing in screenshots but let you down in motion?

I’m bored after finishing Ghost of Tsushima

Some context: I’m disabled. Sometimes games can be quite difficult physically (lack of motor skills) or make me dizzy and give me headaches.

So when it released I soon tried to play Ghost of Tsushima and found it difficult and slow. I matured a little this past year and came to play the game, figured I’d give it a second try. It was one of if not the best thing I’ve ever played. Difficulty was reasonable on normal, and I was even able to platinum it on PS5 (pretty easy platinum overall to be honest) Even without needing to ever lower it or use accessibility tools.

I now feel bored and don’t know what to play. I did play Moonlighter after because I really like TBOI so the similarities kinda drew me. But it was numb play without any attachment or will to keep going.

Any tips on cool games to play after that are similar? Already beat Crimson Desert, it was really good, but not memorable for me.

If possible suggest ones in PSN, being disabled costs me around 30% of monthly money, can’t buy much these days.

Feel free to discuss further how you felt about the game and if anybody felt the same as me.

(thanks everybody, I’ll do my best to answer and give them all a go)

Which games have the best wallpapers or artwork available, in your opinion?

I was looking for some nice wallpapers and artwork from video games to obtain or download. I was wondering which games offer nice ones, or if the community created really good ones for certain games.

Your suggestions are welcome!

[PlayStation 4/5] Looking for suggestions with exceptional ragdoll physics, particularly gunshots.

Not much in a game impresses me more than when I shoot an enemy's leg and they drop to a knee and struggle to hobble back up, same goes for shooting a weapon out of an an enemy's hand .

Bonus points for the realistic headshot just dropping the dead body as opposed to the "Hollywood" style death animation.

I thought both Last of us games did this particularly well, especially The Part 2, looking for more examples of you have any?

I don't want to watch every single build in games like elden ring or witcher and similar

As the title suggests I want to play video games and not watch this guide and go to to end game arena in starting i know getting these builds helps and not get overwhelmed at the start but the developer would have also design it to be played in one way as well nah even though it's open world

So am I missing out on something or there are some ways to find out shit on your own and like how do u figure out what to do your self I don't want to come from busy day playing game like for its completion rather for fun of its own like I had as kid .

Best Retro game for both a great story and good combat?

I just became a dad of 2 and have very limited time on my hands and feel a classic retro game (any console pre gen 7) with a solid story and suitable combat would fit my life good right now so wondering what is recommended

Are there mods that make red dead revolver on ps2 100% the complete package? On a ps2 emulator at least.

What i mean by this is that red dead revolver ps2 has content missing compared to other versions and if you can mod it. On a ps2 emulator at least.

do you prefer playing older games or newer releases?

modern games have impressive graphics and lots of features, but i've noticed that some older games feel more straightforward and focus more on gameplay. newer games sometimes have so many side activities and extra systems that the main experience gets lost.

not every old game has aged well, of course, and plenty of modern games are great too. i'm curious what other players think. do you enjoy newer releases more, or do older games still offer something that modern games seem to be missing?
