What to expect during my first 5 hour shift?
Sad it's not quite $20/hr but I have class earlier in the day and I always finish 30-45 mins early. But this is my first ever 5hr route. I imagine it'll be sending me to the countryside?

And then, Amazon got it right!
I have to take a moment and give some praise to Amazon for what seems to have been the perfect trip. 34 stops 47 packages grouped accordingly. Finished an hour 20 minutes ahead of schedule and the first stop was 35 minutes from the station. All on a 3.5hr route.
It was actually pleasant. I don’t know if I’ve taken all my medication the right way or why maybe the weather was perfect but the Amazon gods came together and it was a good morning.

Florida Amazon Rates Are Now Lower. Anyone else ?
I’ve noticed for at least the last month and a half that Amazon stopped showing me blocks that go over $80. I do it as a side gig, but it was common for me to see 3 and 4 hr blocks for $80+ and $90+. And I mean very common, I would rarely pick up blocks for less since I only do it once or twice a week. For the last month and a half, it’s literally been impossible to see blocks for those rates. The most I see is $76.5 for 3 and a half hours. 🤦🏽♂️
Is it my Amazon algorithm fucking me over or is everyone else experiencing the same ?

Crazy rural route tonight
Had a 3 hour from DTU2 in Tucson. Route was only 50 miles, but full of horrible dirt roads. Totally rural route, then 30 miles home. I already sple with support and they are escalating for a pay adjustment due to the road conditions.
Crazy thing, half way through the route it prompted me to go 20 miles back to DTU2 to pick up another package, then back to where I was. I said hell no and called support, who said it shouldn't have done that and took the stop off.

SSD Employees
So not the usual post, but does anyone know if we are able to gift or give any tyoe of monetary compensation to employees that work at the station? These a dude who I regularly see who will let me scan early and just things to help me get on the road and hes pretty chill with most drivers. He just scored me a fire block and I genuinly appreciate it. I get to end my night early! But yeah, are we able to give them anything just as like an appreciation gift? Wasn't sure if its allowed or not.

The routes!!!
I had a block today that has 2 apartment complexes on either side of a street. No f'ing joke, they had me deliver a package to one, then across the street, then back to the first complex ..like 5 times. Wtf..is that normal?

DFW Too early for their bullshit
So I wake up at 3:30 a.m. for my 4:15 a.m. block. I get there and wait another 10 mins because they haven’t found a route for me. Once I see my cart, it’s stacked to the fucking top with packages, and there are only 29 stops, but it looks like more than just 29 packages. So I’m like, okay, whatever. So I get to my car, start labeling my deliveries to make it easier. So then I see I have 2 packages for the same address, but it doesn’t tell me on my itinerary that the address has 2 deliveries. So I still continue to load, and I found 3 packages with addresses that aren’t on my itinerary. My car already had at least 18 packages already, so I’m like wtf and the cart was still 3/4 of the way full and looked like more than 11 that I needed. So I call support. They tell me to still deliver and just call them back for the ones I don’t have. Mind you, it’s already getting late. It’s 5 a.m. at this point. My lower back hurts after sitting in the fucking car for doing deliveries all week, so I just said fuck it. I put all the packages back on the cart and left that shit on the loading area and went home. I wasn’t about to see what goes to where or if it’s mine or not. That shit should have been figured out beforehand. It’s my job to fix other people’s fuck-ups for the pay that we get.
EDIT: I got paid????

Deactivation reversal!
Does anyone know how to get your account reactivated! I was fired after a tornado went through Oklahoma City. I left my packages on the ramp like an idiot cuz they locked the doors. Amazon never officially told me why they fired me and it’s been some months. I’m a disabled vet and I really miss this job:

Amazon Flex Facial Recognition Failed
Amazon Flex Facial Recognition Failed — Arrived on Time, Missed Block, and Amazon Refuses to Pay
Has anyone else experienced this?
I arrived at the Amazon Flex station at 6:56 PM for my 7:00 PM scheduled block. I clicked "I've Arrived" and attempted the required facial verification three times.
Amazon's software failed every attempt.
The app directed me to contact Driver Support. I called immediately, but after about five minutes on hold, the system marked me as having missed my block.
A support representative told me I would be compensated because I arrived on time and the problem wasn't my fault. The representative also documented the incident.
Now Amazon is refusing to pay me.
I reserved the block, drove to the station, arrived on time, followed the instructions, and was ready and willing to work. Amazon's own verification system prevented me from completing my route.
Why should independent delivery drivers lose their expected earnings because Amazon's technology doesn't work?
Has anyone successfully appealed this and received payment? Did you have to escalate beyond regular Driver Support?
I'd really like to hear how other drivers handled this.

Get fucked Amazon
Did the route backwards because if I’m driving for an hour I’m doing it on Bezos dime

Rant Wtf are we even doing here Amazon?
Apparently it wasn't already supremely obnoxious enough to have a dog warning you're forced to acknowledge on every stop, I'm now being forced to acknowledge it twice per stop, both before and after scanning the package. I swear this damn app is just actively trying to annoy the hell out of me most of the time.

First Amazon Flex Block Tomorrow Morning ….Any Tips?
Hey everyone! I’m completely new to Amazon Flex and have my first block scheduled for early tomorrow morning.
Any tips or advice for a first-timer? Also, when I get to the warehouse, is it pretty obvious where I’m supposed to go to pick up my packages, or am I going to be driving around looking lost? 😂
Just trying to know what to expect before I show up. Appreciate any advice!

Dinged for package not received
A while back I received advice here to leave a package at the gate when no gate code is provided. The person advised that not always you would get a ding for doing this x for sure get a ding if you return it to the warehouse.
This was a gate for a dead end street with very few homes. No code was provided and the house I was supposed to deliver was the very first on the left. I waited a while but no luck. So I wrote a note in the package saying "no gate code provided to enter", put my arm through the gate, set the package to the left as far as I could and took a picture. This was my first time doing this.
Well, seems that the person reported as not received.
I have seen people in here being disconnected after being accused of stealing packages and I think doing this leaves room for this type of risk.
I think next time I will just take it back !

Base Pay
So I’m wondering (genuinely) why anyone actually takes base ? For example 3.5 hour for $73.50 -$75.50 is base around here and they get taken fairly quickly most times , why? Why would anyone do that?

Question Apple Duo
I’m seriously considering upgrading to the Apple Duo from 17 pro but I was wondering if it will work with the Flex app. Does anyone know yet?
r/AmazonFlexDrivers • u/PuzzleheadedCod8300 • 19h ago
So now I am at risk
I think I’m doomed because now that we have the vans delivering, we have almost nothing left for flex
I didn’t do one route this week because I wasn’t able to snag any
So basically, I’ll probably won’t get level 3 rewards offers, right? They are supposed to send routes today for flex.
Do you think my only chance would be try to snag of i Ever Can?
I’m serious our volume has almost disappeared since the vance started a week and a half ago
Stinks so bad
