Anyone else feel punished for doing a good job?

• Upvotes

When I had dings for late packages and stuff (not my fault, things like Amazon sending me 40 min away but a package due in 20 min), my routes were sooooo easy. Ever since I’ve gone back up to a near perfect rating, I am getting all these slop apartments, schools, and businesses that just tank my time and work flow. Does anyone else feel like there’s a correlation between doing well and getting harder routes, and should I take a ding or two on purpose for science?

Question is it really worth it?

• Upvotes

i did my first block yesterday and i just have 2 questions to determine if this is something i still want to take chance on.

first, what is the longest distance from the warehouse that your willing to deliver to? and for what pay? and secondly, if you get to the warehouse, and your route is further away than your willing to go, will you be penalized?

asking because i was given a route that was almost 2 hours away from my home. in a very rural area. all for $72. (this appears to be the base for most blocks at my local warehouse) and i’ve heard of people having to go even further than i did for just slightly more pay.

San Diego New Amazon Flex Driver - Multiple Standing Issues, Including Blocks I Never Scheduled. How Do I Get These Removed?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I started Amazon Flex on October 7, and despite my standing being Great, I’ve already accumulated several issues:

Oct 8–9: 3 late deliveries and 3 packages reported missing.
Oct 10–11: 2 late cancellations.
Missed blocks: 3 total, all that randomly appeared on my schedule that I never ever accepted.

Some issues were genuinely outside our control, including delivery deadlines and app-related problems.

I’ve contacted Amazon Support multiple times and submitted appeals, but I haven’t received any meaningful responses or resolutions.

I’m worried these incidents will eventually affect my standing or lead to deactivation, especially since I’m still new.

Has anyone successfully gotten these violations removed? Is there a specific escalation process, supervisor, or email that actually works? Also, how long do these issues stay on your record?

I’d really appreciate advice from experienced drivers. Thanks

Route rejection

• Upvotes

So I got to the station for 3 1/2 hour block and before I scan the packages, I saw that the route was gonna take me more than 40 miles away from the station plus there was 40+ packages in that car just looking at it so I called support and they put a ticket and they said it was route rejection I understand my stands are gonna take a hit but is that better than scanning them first and then refusing will be less of a hit this is the first time I’ve ever done thisbut every time I go it just seems to be more and more packages further further away.

So what’s the end game here? Pay union fees, and have the union set minimum pay rates?

Is this normal? How do I continue?

Hello, I got an email that I’m off the waitlist and can join in my area. I went back to the app and completed these two steps but it doesn’t prompt me to continue.

Do I need to do anything or just wait?

Thank you

Question Select Sub Same-Day’s Prioritizing 3hr Blocks?

Over the past week I’ve been noticing my usual sub same-day has been only showing 3 hr blocks varying in different base pays. $61.50 being the most common. Usually I see no more than 25 stops for 3hr blocks, but this past week I got 30-45 stops for 3 hours. Usually I see bigger routes like that reserved for 3.5/4hr (4.5/5hr are a rarity here)

Is this common during the 4th quarter? or has my sub same-day finally been hit by the system with shorter hours after figuring out common route times?

For reference, I’ve been working flex since March of this year

Anyone still getting 1 hour instant offers?

For the past two days I’ve only been getting 28 minute instant offers when I used to be able to get 1 hour offers nearly every offer. Did something change?

Preferred Blocks not offered

I've been flexing about 6 months and have been working out of a .com close to my house in Maryland DMD9. I usually do blocks that start between 3:15-3:45am. About 2 weeks ago I got lucky and had 3 blocks in a row canceled (this can happen at this station when people dont come to work and they cant get the routes processed in time is what I've been told) and I got paid each time. Since then I have not been offered a block in that early morning window. I get offers for that station in the evenings but not early mornings that I prefer. I also get offers for all other stations in my area at all times. It seems like the algorithm is punishing me because the station canceled my blocks.

Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so how do I get my preferred blocks back? I called support they say im in good standing. They refreshed my profile I uninstall and reinstall the app no luck. In the mean time I have done some evening blocks to try to see if that clears up but that didnt change anything...

Driver Emergency Line

this was the first time I’ve needed to call. I was shocked that it was AI filtering my call and then told me that all agents were currently on other calls. Is this normal?

DFW Too early for their bullshit

So I wake up at 3:30 a.m. for my 4:15 a.m. block. I get there and wait another 10 mins because they haven’t found a route for me. Once I see my cart, it’s stacked to the fucking top with packages, and there are only 29 stops, but it looks like more than just 29 packages. So I’m like, okay, whatever. So I get to my car, start labeling my deliveries to make it easier. So then I see I have 2 packages for the same address, but it doesn’t tell me on my itinerary that the address has 2 deliveries. So I still continue to load, and I found 3 packages with addresses that aren’t on my itinerary. My car already had at least 18 packages already, so I’m like wtf and the cart was still 3/4 of the way full and looked like more than 11 that I needed. So I call support. They tell me to still deliver and just call them back for the ones I don’t have. Mind you, it’s already getting late. It’s 5 a.m. at this point. My lower back hurts after sitting in the fucking car for doing deliveries all week, so I just said fuck it. I put all the packages back on the cart and left that shit on the loading area and went home. I wasn’t about to see what goes to where or if it’s mine or not. That shit should have been figured out beforehand. It’s my job to fix other people’s fuck-ups for the pay that we get.

EDIT: I got paid????

Did the route backwards because if I’m driving for an hour I’m doing it on Bezos dime

And then, Amazon got it right!

I have to take a moment and give some praise to Amazon for what seems to have been the perfect trip. 34 stops 47 packages grouped accordingly. Finished an hour 20 minutes ahead of schedule and the first stop was 35 minutes from the station. All on a 3.5hr route.

It was actually pleasant. I don’t know if I’ve taken all my medication the right way or why maybe the weather was perfect but the Amazon gods came together and it was a good morning.

Rant Wtf are we even doing here Amazon?

Apparently it wasn't already supremely obnoxious enough to have a dog warning you're forced to acknowledge on every stop, I'm now being forced to acknowledge it twice per stop, both before and after scanning the package. I swear this damn app is just actively trying to annoy the hell out of me most of the time.
