You don’t have any secret special knowledge about the world that others don’t. Yes there are things that need to be changed but just complaining about how bad everything is and how unfair the world is, isn’t going to help anyone

Needed to hear this, any pointer on how to get out of the mindset of bitching about the world and not doing anything to make things better for yourself?

My humble advice is focus on something you can tangibly do and makes a small difference. Volunteer at a soup kitchen or something once a month and try and help a real actual person you can actually see. When I was in my twenties I got really involved with Palestine and got so sick of going to protests and arguing with people to absolutely no effect. So I actually went for 5 months and volunteered in the West Bank. I slept on floors, walked kids to school, worked with community members who were being forced off their land. It was really hard but It definitely helped me with my jaded bullshit

Take action on what is bothering you. I sat and bitched about a job for 5 years. What fixed it was finding a new job and not expecting the current one to change.

Felt like I wanted to help the community so I volunteer time at our school.

This isn’t a universal fix like you can’t fix the current state of government but try to affect things you can control.

Of course, make a small difference in your small circle. It makes a big difference to a big part of the people you know. The rest is shadows and dust.

The main thing you have control over is you. Muster up some appreciation and grace for your delicate and complicated world. Ask where you'd want to be in another 5 years. Write down what that would take. Maybe it's just learning what you need to learn to get started. Make a goal for tomorrow, this week, each month, and each of the years. Rewrite your day, week, and a single month's goals every week on a single page and keep that with you for the week. Treat your goals like your helping your very best friend.

You can't fix the world but you can donate baby wipes/diapers/formula to a woman's shelter, tutor kids, mop the floor at a food pantry, or pitch a few bucks to an online educator.

Make sure to prioritize improving yourself so that you're not tearing yourself down in a place of need. Don't use other people's problems as an excuse to avoid your own. You can fix your problems but other people have to fix themselves.

Support people brave enough to expose corruption.

It was important for me to learn the opposite: ppl arent privy to some secret thing that makes them better than me, and they arent all discussing way more interesting things than what I like to talk about.
