My apologies, I am very tech illiterate. How do I set up my controller to do things like undo, redo, cut/paste, etc. in Procreate?

Just wanted to post how I resolved the charging problem with my newly acquired 8BitDo Pro3 (https://www.8bitdo.com/pro3/), maybe it's useful for people having similar problems.

I bought a new 8BitDo Pro 3 that appeared unable to charge, via dock and with a known to be working USB-C charger.

The red charging LED was on for approximately 10 seconds, then turned off. When trying to pair it with my Switch 2 in "S" mode the controller would briefly show up, indicating it was in fact working in principle, but had no charge at all and then just died.

When connected to my Mac over USB it would stay on but the red light still went out after 10 seconds and the controller still wouldn't charge.

The standalone 8BitDo Firmware Updater wouldn't recognize the controller.

I'm not sure which of the following steps ultimately resolved the issue but my guess from skimming similar threads is on the firmware update, so here is what I did:

1. Connected the controller directly to my Mac via USB-C with the mode switch in the D position.
2. Used 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 to update firmware from v1.05 to v2.02 (the Firmware Updater doesn't see the device for some reason)
3. Held Start (+) for approximately 10 seconds to force the controller to shut down.
4. Left it disconnected for approximately one minute.
5. Reconnected it to USB power.
6. Left it charging for about 4h like the manual says

The red charging LED now stays on, and the Switch shows that the controller is fully charged. I've also confirmed that charging via dock works now.

P.S.: I didn't know how to flair this properly so it's marked as "something is broken" although it's not broken anymore.

No disassembly or battery disconnection was necessary.

I got the controller a week ago and since yesterday it randomly turns off while playing.

It says the controller disconnected and then I see it not being on.

Is it a faulty device or is it some kind of issue that I can fix?

I'm using it with dongle.

I disassembled my Ultimate 2 because i wanted to dim the home button light as it was very bright in a dark room, after successfully doing that and after reassembling my controller suddenly my LT doesn't work. The quick trigger function works fine, which makes sense since i can see its a different registrering than the normal long trigger.

I cant see any reason why it shouldn't work, it looks and feels like it should.

I tried to calibrating thing, but that didnt work. Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi guys! Just got my Ultimate 3E after a long wait but something strange that after using the ultimate x software to update my 3E firmware the controller won’t work again did anyone have the same problem?

The Xbox home button lights on but the top spot pairing is red light and the rgb light around the analog stick flashed.

I tried all the methods on the internet for the 8bitdo controller and the update tool or ultimate x won’t recognise my controller after the update.

My 8BitDo Ultimate 2 vibrates briefly after holding the Home button for about one second, but nothing happens. Holding it for three seconds turns it off normally.

It happens on Windows 11 with both wired and 2.4 GHz connections, even with Steam and Xbox Game Bar disabled. It doesn’t happen when disconnected from the PC.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal, and is there a way to fix it?

About two years ago I bought the 8BitDo Ultimate 1 3-mode and didn't have a very good experience. After a month the battery stopped charging and the controller wouldn't work wired, so I returned it and bought a other controller. But recently with the news announcements of 8bitdo I'd like to buy one of the latest Ultimate 3, I'd like you to recommend one of the three latest models they've released (Ultimate 3). I'll mainly be using it for PC, and if anyone can confirm it works on a jailbroken Switch, even better. I don't really have a very high budget, but I could save up a little more for some of the 3 or 3e models, but there would have to be a significant difference or gain for me to choose one.

Hello guys! I need your help, I have a 8BitDo Ultimate C Bluetooth and tried to update to use on Switch 2.

But countless attempts failed until it reached a point where the app started to glitch, the app sometimes wouldn't even open...And then, for some reason, I think my controller bricked, it stayed with this eternal blinking light.

And I don't know what else to do. I've already tried everything, clicked the home button, clicked the start button, already tried doing other things and nothing, nothing changes!

I already tried putting it on the Switch 1 again, I already tried charging it, spent the whole night charging and it didn't work.

I opened the controller now to try to remove the battery to try to unplug the battery to see if it would reset and that didn't work either. Do you guys have any more ideas of what it could be? And how to make it work again?

I looked online and on their website. Post seems to be from a while ago and cannot get a definitive answer.

I have seen some saying yes, other saying it is finicky, etc.

- Will the lite 2 work with an iPad / Mac and Android? Wired and wireless?

Ideally, I’d like both option, and without fiddling with it too much.

Trying to make sure before getting one.

I recently discovered 8bitdo controllers, and it seems most people like/love them. I used to use a ps5 controller to play PC games but I gave the console away to my sister so I need a new controller to play PC games that are designed to play on a controller. I’m not going to use it for FPS games as mouse and keyboard generally is better for that, but I’ll probably use it for racing games, and games that generally fall on the more casual side if I really had to think about it. Right now I’m interested in playing Ace Combat 8 though. So which one should I get if it’s only to use on my PC and for some, not all games I have on PC (since I prefer using mouse and keyboard when the game is designed well for it). Thanks in advance!

Hi, i have a problem beucse i bought the usb adapter 2 and it worked great with mine old dualsense but when i bought the newer one it just like stopped connecting to the adaptet like it shows the blue light on the controller but no white one but the adapter is still flashing i upograded the version to the newest version and it keeps happening im using it on ns 2 and windows pls help me! thank you

I bought the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller (Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight), and while it works perfect with the 2.4g recepter on my switch and pc i can not get it to even be detected to my ipad, the controller can connect to my android phone, and the ipad can connect to other bluetooth controllers so i have no idea what the issue is

Connecting the controller directly to the ipad with a usb c wire, or connecting the recepter to it wont work either

The controller is updated to the version 1.10

And the ipad is on iPadOs 27.0.1

I don't really know how it happened, but one day I was playing a game and I pressed l2, and the button flew off. I attached pictures of what everything looks like, and I hope I can just order a replacement button or something.

Hi, love the 8bitdo 2C but the LB RB shoulder buttons sound like exploding crystals in my ears. It's actually painful, from both pushing the button and releasing it. I searched online and found that some people lube their mechanical keyboard switches to make them more silent and less clicky. Did anybody try that with their 8bitdo painfully clicky button switches to make them less noisy? Do you think that it's a good idea? Thank you!

I bought this controller today, and I noticed that the L3 and R3 buttons keep registering as pressed whenever I move the joysticks, even though I'm not clicking them.

Hi, I wanna ask if everyone experienced this problem on Ultimate 2C(Wireless). Out of the box it is working as intended but when I updated my 2.4g dongle I can't seem to switch to D-Input, I even tried pressing B+Home to turn the controller off and press it again to turn it on.

The problem is the latest firmware so I just rolled back to factory firmware. I am curious if anyone experienced this?

I love using my SN30 Pro on my Windows machine, but the rumble is just too aggressive. Rumble Intensity in the game options don't seem to affect it. It's either on or off, and when it's on, it goes really hard. It feels like my only option is to turn it off in each game (the L+R+START command doesn't seem to work for me on 2.07 firmware).

Maybe this is because I'm using Linux, my controller connects perfectly to my PC but refuses to charge when seated on the dock. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix, or do I just have to plug in my controller directly?

Brand new to 8bitdo; I got a Pro 3 last night, and I am trying to understand their macro settings.

If it matters, I am on a Mac, configuring for a Switch, and I'm trying to set a macro for pogo in Silksong: Jump (B), then Down + Slash (A) together.

I read the manual and looked on their website, and went through every option in the software. Am I missing actual directions somewhere?

I recorded a macro and mapped it to a trigger. There's a blue B and a black B, then a blue A and Down Arrow, and a black A and Down Arrow.

My dumb questions:

1. Why are the inputs duplicated as blue and black on this screen?

2. As a best practice, how much time do I need to allow between a blue and it's following black?

3. As a best practice, how much time do I need to allow between ordered commands (B, then Down +A)?

4. What's a benefit of unifying the interval times?

8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless — Charging light turns off after a few seconds. Is this normal?

I recently bought an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller from Amazon India, and I have a question about its charging behaviour.

When I connect it to charge, the red charging indicator turns on for a few seconds and then turns off, even though the battery isn't fully charged.

I monitored the battery percentage, and it increased from around 77% to 85%, 91%, and 95% while charging. However, the red light still turns off after a few seconds.

I've tried a different USB-C cable and a standard power source, but the behaviour remains the same.

The controller seems to work fine while gaming. My main concern is whether the charging light turning off so quickly is normal or whether my controller might have a battery or charging issue.

Questions:

1. Does anyone else's Ultimate 2C Wireless behave this way while charging?
2. Does the red light normally turn off before the battery reaches 100%?
3. Should I be concerned or request a replacement?

I barely played it, and I handled it carefully, but the hinge on my unit cracked after about a month. Other users have reported similar issues.
The warranty process was equally frustrating: 8BitDo requires customers to ship defective units to China at their own expense, including shipping and customs fees. Since I paid only ₱900, returning it could cost nearly as much as buying a replacement.

Poor durability and an impractical warranty. skip the FlipPad.
