I recently discovered 8bitdo controllers, and it seems most people like/love them. I used to use a ps5 controller to play PC games but I gave the console away to my sister so I need a new controller to play PC games that are designed to play on a controller. I’m not going to use it for FPS games as mouse and keyboard generally is better for that, but I’ll probably use it for racing games, and games that generally fall on the more casual side if I really had to think about it. Right now I’m interested in playing Ace Combat 8 though. So which one should I get if it’s only to use on my PC and for some, not all games I have on PC (since I prefer using mouse and keyboard when the game is designed well for it). Thanks in advance!

I bought the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller (Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight), and while it works perfect with the 2.4g recepter on my switch and pc i can not get it to even be detected to my ipad, the controller can connect to my android phone, and the ipad can connect to other bluetooth controllers so i have no idea what the issue is

Connecting the controller directly to the ipad with a usb c wire, or connecting the recepter to it wont work either

The controller is updated to the version 1.10

And the ipad is on iPadOs 27.0.1

I don't really know how it happened, but one day I was playing a game and I pressed l2, and the button flew off. I attached pictures of what everything looks like, and I hope I can just order a replacement button or something.

Hi, love the 8bitdo 2C but the LB RB shoulder buttons sound like exploding crystals in my ears. It's actually painful, from both pushing the button and releasing it. I searched online and found that some people lube their mechanical keyboard switches to make them more silent and less clicky. Did anybody try that with their 8bitdo painfully clicky button switches to make them less noisy? Do you think that it's a good idea? Thank you!

I bought this controller today, and I noticed that the L3 and R3 buttons keep registering as pressed whenever I move the joysticks, even though I'm not clicking them.

Hi, I wanna ask if everyone experienced this problem on Ultimate 2C(Wireless). Out of the box it is working as intended but when I updated my 2.4g dongle I can't seem to switch to D-Input, I even tried pressing B+Home to turn the controller off and press it again to turn it on.

The problem is the latest firmware so I just rolled back to factory firmware. I am curious if anyone experienced this?

I love using my SN30 Pro on my Windows machine, but the rumble is just too aggressive. Rumble Intensity in the game options don't seem to affect it. It's either on or off, and when it's on, it goes really hard. It feels like my only option is to turn it off in each game (the L+R+START command doesn't seem to work for me on 2.07 firmware).

Maybe this is because I'm using Linux, my controller connects perfectly to my PC but refuses to charge when seated on the dock. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix, or do I just have to plug in my controller directly?

Brand new to 8bitdo; I got a Pro 3 last night, and I am trying to understand their macro settings.

If it matters, I am on a Mac, configuring for a Switch, and I'm trying to set a macro for pogo in Silksong: Jump (B), then Down + Slash (A) together.

I read the manual and looked on their website, and went through every option in the software. Am I missing actual directions somewhere?

I recorded a macro and mapped it to a trigger. There's a blue B and a black B, then a blue A and Down Arrow, and a black A and Down Arrow.

My dumb questions:

1. Why are the inputs duplicated as blue and black on this screen?

2. As a best practice, how much time do I need to allow between a blue and it's following black?

3. As a best practice, how much time do I need to allow between ordered commands (B, then Down +A)?

4. What's a benefit of unifying the interval times?

8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless — Charging light turns off after a few seconds. Is this normal?

I recently bought an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller from Amazon India, and I have a question about its charging behaviour.

When I connect it to charge, the red charging indicator turns on for a few seconds and then turns off, even though the battery isn't fully charged.

I monitored the battery percentage, and it increased from around 77% to 85%, 91%, and 95% while charging. However, the red light still turns off after a few seconds.

I've tried a different USB-C cable and a standard power source, but the behaviour remains the same.

The controller seems to work fine while gaming. My main concern is whether the charging light turning off so quickly is normal or whether my controller might have a battery or charging issue.

Questions:

1. Does anyone else's Ultimate 2C Wireless behave this way while charging?
2. Does the red light normally turn off before the battery reaches 100%?
3. Should I be concerned or request a replacement?

I barely played it, and I handled it carefully, but the hinge on my unit cracked after about a month. Other users have reported similar issues.
The warranty process was equally frustrating: 8BitDo requires customers to ship defective units to China at their own expense, including shipping and customs fees. Since I paid only ₱900, returning it could cost nearly as much as buying a replacement.

Poor durability and an impractical warranty. skip the FlipPad.

I’m looking for a controller with a Nintendo layout that works with Switch 2 and also macOS, ideally without a dongle, and ideally a cheaper model, but digging around to find out the macOS compatibility of 8bitdo devices is making my head spin. Does this controller fit my needs?

i heard theres a mode to switch it to xinput i try holding down x and home but it doesnt do anything

The mouse was working fine till today where all of a sudden while I'm playing WoW, left/right click stop working altogether. Their clicks don't register at all. I updated its firmware to the latest version, too. Any help? I also emailed their support so I will update here if they respond.

I've just received my first 8bitdo controller and I like it. The only thing my controller has is when the heavy rumble motor in the left hand is turned on I hear some kind of electric zooming. It doesn't even have to rumble at that moment. You hear it as soon as the motor turns on. Is this normal for the ultimate 2? Otherwise I'll swap it for a new one.

My old headset (used turtle beach headset) jack broke and I just got a new headset today, NUBWO HG04L. I've never had an issue with a mic on the old headset despite my Xbox settings showing that there was no headset mic. Worked perfectly fine. Now I'm having a problem where the mic isn't working on this controller at all, works fine on an original Xbox controller but not this one. Did all the settings resets for discord, even tried it on overwatch and it only worked there when I connected it to the original Xbox controller. I can't use that one because of stick drift. Is there any way I can make this work or are they incompatible?

I looked on the site but they don't have this part up for sale. It's a rubber plunger beneath the RB and LB buttons. The right one tore and had become mushy and I'm looking to fix it myself.

Finally making the jump for a Switch 2. Currently, I have an Ultimate 2 Bluetooth (https://www.8bitdo.com/ultimate-2-bluetooth-controller/) for use on Linux, and I quite like it. Does anyone have experience in swapping a controller between two different systems, and how was it? Or would I be better off ordering another?

I have a few questions for anyone that got their Ultimate 3E delivered. Some reviews mention that Steam input isn't supported, is this still the case? And if it's not, does the motion aiming work? Or the trigger motors?

I have noticed the button become "softer" over time, no longer clicking like the other face buttons. And recently, sometimes pushing it down does nothing at all. Is there any tricks to fix this?

The two joysticks on my 8BitDo Ultimate C 2.4G cracked; I checked the official website and found replacements, but I don't know the exact model. Please help.

I've tried using it wired and with USB Wireless Adapter 2 but rumble will not work in Steam games.
