Tisas Stainless Beavertail on a Tisas A1
I have doubts, and I cant tell if i like it or not... No hand biting anymore but may be i should have taken the regular blued beavertail and not the stainless version. What do you think ? I dont mind the gap between the beavertail and frame, i just question the two tone aspect.

Help me choose my 2nd handgun- get a 1911 in .45 or a Glock?
I already own a 9mm 1911 and I really like it. Shoots well, eats all types of ammos with mecgar magazines and the trigger is just uncomparable to any striker fired handgun I have tried. Now, I'm eyeing my next purchase and have been contemplating in getting another 1911 in 45 or a Glock (or any striker fired for that matter). Is a 45 1911 worth getting? How big is the difference between a 9mm and 45? Help me decide.
Help Me 1911 to host .22 conversion?
I like my Ruger MkIIs but I want a 1911 .22 conversion, probably a Nelson, and don’t want to mess with swapping back and forth. So, looking for a suggestion for an inexpensive 1911 to buy for that purpose. 5” and full sized frame, of course.
Ideally one with a short roll trigger up to 4#, but in the end that will probably need to be worked on to try to get a near match to my .45

Help Me Probably a stupid question but are there any double stacked 1911s with original styling still being produced
I’m thinking gi model (wood grips and blued or stainless) without a picatinny rail, I know there’s Springfield gi hi caps floating around but they’re not an easy find, any help is greatly appreciated

Vickers apart
Took the Vickers down for a clean. Figured somebody might want to see the inside. Notice the scribed serial on barrel and slide also m for I assume “match” barrel bushing. Only non stock parts are 10-8 slide stop, nighthawk trigger and Wilson spring plug. Oh and I slapped some stainless grip screws in as the black were pretty worn out. Springfield outdid themselves on this gun. This one is obviously a shooter.

Magnum PI Pistol Case
The Magnum PI Pistol Case Prototype. Sized to hold a 1911, four magazines and your favorite Ray-Bans.
The bag features sewn in padding on all sides and a sewn retention band in each mag slot to retain the second mag, takedown tool or whatever else you need.
The bag has a custom patch designed for this project and the authentic Jungle Bird print.
Now's your chance to give design feedback before we go into production.

Help Me EDC options Garrison or Tisas Carry SS45?
Fairly new to 1911's and I opted for a big Gov't Operator for my first one. I love it, completely enamored with the platform and the cartridge, it has a personality to it that I don't find in my more pragmatic carry guns (which are several). I would like a simpler stainless steel/aluminum alloy commander sized gun, in .45, as possible EDC. The stainless Springfield Garrison or Tisas SS45 both seem to fit the bill, would either be solid choices or should I hold off and look at other options? Optics/rails aren't a consideration for this gun as it mainly will be going on a short walk/drive to and from work with me.

Para USA Help with P14 part
Hey all, I'm replacing the extractor on my p14 because I've been having feeding issues. This is the first time I've taken a 1911 down for more than just cleaning and now I have this pin and I can't for the life of me remember what it is or where it goes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

General Discussion New to me Rapide has stripped grip bushing
So, Saturday I traded a gun for a Kimber Rapide in 45acp. Finally git to the range today and it shot great, however the stock VZ grips are so aggressive that they hurt my right thumb.
I got home and went to clean the gun and try another set of grips. When I went to tighten the grips, the screw just spun but never got tight. I removed the grips and the bushing came out with the grip. I went to reinstall the grip bushing, but it’s stripped.🙄. How much is this gonna cost to fix?

Help Me Help finding a FDE magwell
I'm looking to add a magwell to my TISAS raider and want a FDE one. The color doesn't have to match perfectly, I just don't want a black or SS one. My google-fu is apparently not up to snuff and I can't find any.

My Guns Caspian build from 2005
Caspian OEM'ed the slides and frames for Sig for their first year of GSR production; then Sig tooled up and brought the process in house. Caspian sold the surplus slides and frames to dealers. Even the location of the serial number is milled below the surface to remove the Sig info before be re-marked as Caspian.
I used a Storm Lake barrel, all Wilson Combat small parts, and an SVI two piece trigger.

New grips with front strap for RIA TAC Ultra 17+1?
No, I did actually try to get a regular set of Pachmayr to stretch around this particular piece.
Of course, it's no joy.
Well....yeah maybe, if I cut out a bit to accomodate the mag well on the RIA.
Yeah, yeah, I've tried some Hogues and some Talon tape and some stick-ons that you apply with a heat gun from a small company out in Oregon.....I'll probably stick those on the GSG 1911-22, since that's all that particular pistol is good for.
Anybody figured out a really cranking set of ZOMG like I'm so sure set of grips for one of these beefy RIA in double stack, with the magwell?
For me, I don't like rubber, and can't use finger grips....no sandpaper neither....just strict, hard checkering on the sides and front strap.
Ideas?

My Guns My attempt at a ww1 build on a Springfield Mil Spec
Flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop
Elongated smooth trigger
spur hammer
Short saftey
Diamond checkered grips
Didn't bother changing the sights because the original gi sights are useless and I regularly carry the gun.
Would like to add the patent dates and US property engravings but I will do that when I'm ready to retire the pistol from EDC

My Guns First chilly fall day today, had to test out the shoulder rig
Yes it would be better with a jacket - I intend to mostly wear it with a jacket but felt like throwing on a sweatshirt to run to the store
