We want our old bathroom ripped out and replaced for a reasonable price and a decent finish. Ideally someone who'll be able to handle plumbing, fitting and tiling, or at least get it sorted without us having to juggle different trades.

I recently moved to York and was wondering if there are any churches that you can just walk into and sit and pray (doesn’t obviously have to be open ALL day but for a while would be nice) I used to live in a town and most of the churches were only open on actual services, which kinda sucks cause I really like/prefer just going and praying when it’s silent and more empty. Any recommendations?

I'm visiting York for the first time this November on my own for my birthday.

I live right down on the south coast and know very little about York, so I'm really just looking for tips on places to visit, recommendations for places to eat, and good coffee shops where I can get a nice drink and watch the world go by.

Hi guys! My 15 year old cousin is coming up to visit and we want to take him out for a day in York. I really want him to have a great time so I’m trying to find things to do that fit his interests. He likes Harry Potter so we’re going to visit the shambles but I think he’s largely grown out of it now. He also likes manga and anime a lot, and has just recently come out as trans, so I was wondering if there are any places like museums, exhibits or bookstores that would also interest a 15 year old? Or something completely different that you think he might like? Thanks so much!
