Advice I'm thinking about transferring to WSU landscaping, nursery/greenhouse management program but I am not too sure
I was recently talking to graduates of WSU, when I told them about my interest in the Ag and nursery degree they suggested going to the University of Idaho instead because they were not happy with the direction WSU was taking their programs in ( i cant remember specifically what so don't ask lol) If I had to though it would more than likely be about hands on teaching and learning. So here are the questions
To any students in the Landscaping, nursery and greenhouse management degree, would you say that the programs/courses are good? That they provide a good balance of "in the classroom" learning and hands on opportunities?
Have you noticed a decline in facility management? What I mean is, are their tools and equipment actually running and available to use?
Would you strongly recommend these programs?
Now I fully understand that WSU was built for their Agriculture degrees but after hearing from WSU alumni about their advice it really paints the picture that they care about adding more professionals into Eastern Washington's economy and to get, not just more, but better qualified people into these industries. Now If I were a football player they would more than likely say to go to WSU and play for them because who doesn't want to see their college winning games and what not.
I also don't know where else to go for advice on this because it was something said in passing, and I'm not from the Pullman area or know anyone from there to ask. So its reddit time
