I rolled a Troll Warlock. I spawned in and was asked to gather apples and kill boars? What is this Disney slop? It's right there in the name, WARlock. Why am I not immediately thrust into battle? Clearly Blizzard is pandering to the disney crowd by making a demon summoner not immediately destroying armies.

And don't get me started on the armor. I looted some Warped Leather Gloves, but they didn't increase my ability to murder my enemies? Again its in the name WARped Leather Gloves. Why are they grey without any stats? Blizzard are trying to signal that WAR is bad, so they didn't put any stats on it.

Incensed as I was, nothing could top what I saw next. A Tauren was fighting and used his signature ability WAR Stomp. It didn't immediately kill the enemy and only stunned it??? World of Peacecraft in full swing here when Blizzard doesn't even let the WAR Stomp devastate your enemies.

I logged on today after reading all the doom and gloom on /r/wow about how everything was a broken buggy mess and I have to say after playing for a few hours I AM FUCKING LIVID!

I logged on to the buggy labyrinth and proceeded to complete it without encountering any bugs at all! I ran my delves expecting to not be able to find Dundun, yet there he was ready to offer me my abundant bounty! Never mind I thought, at least I can get angry at the buggy end game questline that is broken nine ways from Sunday, BUT NO, it turns out that I was able to complete it with no problems whatsoever!

So I go to look on Wowhead and what do I see? Bli$$ard only went and hotfixed everything so it works now! How am I supposed to complain about things not working when they are working?

How am I supposed to complain about Bli$$ard not fixing things when they fix them?

Honestly this makes me consider thinking about maybe cancelling my sub when it runs out next year.

Now I gotta post it on the retail sub every 2 days, on every retail wowhead article, on every youtube video about retail.

I just dont care about retail at all. And its bad and I dont play it.

This is the death of WoW, I can't believe they hid roleplay in our perfect PvP game, anything that doesn't contribute to conflict between players is literally worthless disneyfied fluff catering to sloptail players. It's sickening enough that I have to do quests to level 10 in order to even get to a battleground but this is probably the worst thing I've found yet.

the endgame content was way cooler we had sfk... do you remember raiding arugal? progress bfd? now you can 2man them... because of powercreep... i remember back during level 20 (bet most of you didn't even play then) using the camp system, every gamer was wholesome back then not speedrunning like now

cool artstyle items with less generic "EPIC FANTASY" style (defias leather?? fang set??) now everyone looks elite with glowy enchants, we had ARTSTYLE back in the day...

classic world of warcraft relaunch and it runs on a 13 month cycle, when the cycle ends everyone is rebirthed; their character is level 1 again, the economy is reset, and they get a little visual buff showing what number life they're on.

You just don't understand the long term plan. Will the WoW Forever launch be a buggy, glitchy, exploited mess, with terrible class balancing and ruined economy in the first 2 weeks. Most definitely. But the WoW Forever devs are committed. They will frantically work day and night to fix the bugs, fix the exploits, and balance the classes.

And in a few years the game will actually be kinda good just in time for WoW Forever: Reforged. They will launch fresh servers and we will finally get the experience we've always wanted.

Trust the process.

Forever seems to be going in the wrong direction.

At the start of the beta, it looked very promising. But as the beta has moved forward, they seem to be making more and more decisions that are contrary to those classic design pillars that made Vanilla so great.

Dungeon XP nerfs to combat boosters and botters, taking away their replayability completely.

Spell/skill nerfs to combat, once again, boosters and botters. Other nerfs for no clear reason - spriests took it in the teeth with no more raid-wideshadow weaving or vampiric touch, no more totem twisting for shamans, warlock's shadow bolt got downgraded, the list goes on.

Generification of classic skills and buffs, taking classes closer and closer to being bland copies of each other.

Removing spell procs from downranked spells when the spell's level is significantly lower than the caster's level.

It really seems they've forgotten about their original promises and the retailification of Forever is well underway. I was 100% planning on playing Forever. I was hyped. But now I'm feeling it less and less. If the devs keep this bullshittery up, I'm officially out.

To everyone working on the Forever repacks and personal servers - keep doing what you're doing, reverse Blizzard's ret*rded generification and fun-removal, and let the emulation community show them how it's supposed to be done. AGAIN!

Blizzard keeps re-releasing the same game, but with increasing changes. This is because we are in a simulation that resets to a fixed time point anytime something goes against The Design, and Blizzard is trying to overcome this issue by changing the timeline slightly each time.

Think about it.

World of Warcraft Classic was released first, with infinitesimally small changes. But then as time progressed we got a much more changed version of Classic with Anniversary servers, yet it still was inarguably Classic. Then they last decided to release WoW: Forever, which is classic but hugely changed. Classic Plus, if you will, or Alternative Classic.

They have to do this in an incremental order, because a sudden leap results in the timeline resetting itself. So they have to gradually change the timeline, step by step, in order to make sure that the simulation adopts to the changes made.

This is because the simulation we live in isn't based on a deterministic algorithm but a probabilistic one. If it deems the "noise" to be at an acceptable level, then the current iteration of the simulation passes the checks. However, world is big with many parameters, so there is a lot of data involved. Because of this, The Architects have made it so that only the last few versions of the simulation are saved, then the latest version is compared to the earliest available version. This means that as long as you make small but gradual changes, you can eventually break The Design and take control of your destiny in the simulation.

Blizzard realized this some time ago, and that's why they are changing the timeline. They even leaft bread crumbs for their plan in the game. It has been being revealed recently that the guys responsible for designing our world and preserving our timeline (Titans) are actually not that good. In fact, in recent years, the guy they left in charge to preserve the timeline (Nozdormu) straight up said he was wrong and that we should change the timeline. Coincidence? I think not. Not to a brilliant enough mind at least.

Finally, WoW: Forever is the harbinger of Blizzard's plan's success, because after some time from its release, it's going to have a completely different timeline to Retail (contemporary WoW). Meaning we are very close to taking control of our destiny and becoming Neo from Matrix.
