PSA & Daily Info PSA: 2026-2027 Wild TV/Streaming Guide

Has anything changed from last season?

Yes. Pretty much everything.

After years of Bally Sports North/FanDuel Sports Network, the Minnesota Wild have a completely new local broadcast setup for the 2026/27 season.

The Wild have launched Wild+, a team-owned and operated television network that is now the official local television home of the Wild. Most importantly for cord-cutters, Prime Video is now the exclusive streaming distributor for Wild+ within the Wild's local broadcast territory.

The Wild will also continue to have a number of games exclusively televised nationally by ESPN, ABC, TNT and ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu.

So let's break down how to actually watch the Wild this year.

What channel are the Wild on this year?

  • 67 regular-season games will be televised by Wild+, the Wild's new local television network.
    • Wild+ games will be available through Prime Video, participating cable/satellite providers, Fubo, and select over-the-air broadcasts.
  • 17 games are nationally televised:
    • 2 games on ABC
      • 2/20 @CHI, 4/10 @COL
    • 5 games on ESPN
      • 1/7 @VGK, 1/14 vs. FLA, 1/21 vs. DET, 3/7 vs. WSH, 3/25 vs. EDM
    • 3 games on ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu
      • 12/22 vs. LA, 1/5 @ANA, 3/9 vs. CAR
    • 7 games on TNT
      • 1/28 vs. SEA, 2/11 @CAR, 2/28 vs. NJ, 3/14 vs. BUF, 3/17 @COL, 3/31 @NJ, 4/4 vs. COL

How can I get access to these channels?

The first step is determining whether you are in-market or out-of-market for the Wild.

The easiest way to check is to use the Wild's ZIP-code lookup: Wild broadcast information

Wild broadcasts ARE blacked out in my area ("in-market"):

Wild+ is now the primary way to watch the Wild locally.

  • Prime Video/Wild+: $19.99/month or $99.99/year and includes all 67 locally televised Wild games.
  • Fubo: Wild+ is included for subscribers in the Wild's local market.
  • Cable/satellite: Wild+ is available through participating providers, including Spectrum. Availability with other providers may vary.
  • Over-the-air: 10 Wild+ games will also be broadcast for free on KSTP-TV. All you need is an antenna.
  • Nationally televised games are NOT included with Wild+. You'll need access to ESPN/ABC, TNT or ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu depending on the game.

For most cord-cutters, Wild+ on Prime Video is probably the simplest option.

Wild broadcasts ARE NOT blacked out in my area ("out-of-market"):

ESPN is now the primary way to watch out-of-market Wild games.

  • ESPN Select: Includes NHL Power Play, which carries out-of-market Wild games.
    • This service is now included for free for YouTubeTV subscribers.
  • NHL Center Ice: Still available through participating cable and satellite providers.
  • Nationally televised games may require additional access to ESPN/ABC, TNT or ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu.
  • Local blackout rules still apply, so ESPN Select/NHL Power Play won't necessarily show every Wild game.

What about the playoffs?

The playoff broadcast situation is a little different because many games are carried exclusively by national networks.

Wild+ will carry locally televised First Round playoff games. Games selected for national exclusivity will be available through the appropriate national broadcaster.

We'll update this section when the playoff schedule and broadcast assignments are announced.

What about pirating?

As a last resort, you could always "sail the high seas."

Note that it is against Reddit's content policy (and this subreddit's rules) to post links to illegal streams. Posts/comments discussing specific pirating methods will be removed and you may be banned. If you'd like to explore further I am sure you could PM some of the fine folks in this subreddit who can point you in the right direction.

What if I live outside the United States?

The answer depends on what country you live in, as NHL broadcast rights vary by market.

For most international fans, NHL.TV is now available through DAZN. NHL.TV on DAZN includes live and on-demand NHL games, including the Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final.

  • NHL.TV on DAZN: Available in nearly 200 countries, including the UK, Germany, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and many other markets.
  • Canada: NHL games are primarily carried by Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, Prime Video and TVA Sports, depending on the game.
  • Sweden and Finland: NHL games are now available through Disney+ with ESPN, although coverage varies by game.
  • Other countries may have their own local broadcast partners or blackout restrictions.

The full list of countries where NHL.TV is available, along with country-specific viewing information, can be found here:

If you're an international fan, let us know what country you're watching from in the comments. Broadcast rights vary quite a bit from country to country, so other fans in the same country may be able to help with the best option.

TL;DR

If you're in the Wild's local market:

  • Wild+ on Prime Video: 67 local games for $19.99/month or $99.99/year
  • KSTP/antenna: 10 free games
  • Fubo/cable/satellite: Other ways to get Wild+
  • National games: ESPN/ABC, TNT or ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu depending on the game

If you're out of market:

  • ESPN Select/NHL Power Play: Primary option for Wild games
  • NHL Center Ice: Traditional TV option
  • National games: ESPN/ABC, TNT or ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu as applicable

Please provide any other tips, tricks or suggestions in the comments below.

It would especially be helpful to hear from people using Wild+ through Prime Video, Fubo, cable/satellite or an antenna.

This will serve as the main guide to watching the Wild for the 2026/27 season. Updates will be made as needed. There is a link in the sidebar (old Reddit), top menu (new Reddit), and community info menu (mobile). Separate posts on the topic throughout the season will be removed and directed here.

LGW!

Clearly a big mood booster for the guys even just having Brock around again. This team’s closeness is one of their strengths, always great to see. Teams that aren’t close just aren’t as fun.

Quinn: I love Brock

Quinn has said he was distressed when Brock got hurt. So seeing him this genuinely happy, smiling so wide while watching Brock recover, says everything about the kind of teammate he is. Thoughtful. Someone who actually cares.
It also shows the chemistry he has with his d partner. The kind Quinn (and plenty of other Wild players) has called irreplaceable.
That should put the question of whether he’ll sign with the Wild to rest. The answer is clear.
The only question left is how long.

[Joe Smith] How Wild’s superstars ‘jump-started everything,’ can get them through injury-plagued stretch

Thumbnail

ST. PAUL, Minn. — When you bring up playing with the likes of Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy, the usually reserved Quinn Hughes seems to light up.

Who can blame the superstar defenseman? Hughes and the Wild’s top line have often been magic together, and there’s no greater example than during Thursday night’s 5-4 win over the Blues.

The injury-plagued Wild were carried by their biggest stars, Boldy (hat trick, 4 points), Kaprizov (3 points) and Hughes (two assists).

“The more reps and games we get together, the more we’re just going to be reading off each other,” Hughes said. “And I feel like we’re getting to a place now where we’re in a good spot with that. And it’s just so fun, so fun playing with them. I feel like when we’re out there together, we just tilt the ice. And credit to (coach John Hynes and assistant Jack Capuano), who are really on that. I think I played every shift with them in the first period, and we just took over. That really jump-started everything, to be honest.”

They combined for the game-swinging goal, too, which came five minutes into the second period. The Blues had just tied it on a highlight-reel play by Mason McTavish, who quieted the crowd. On the next shift, Hughes fueled the breakout with a pass off the wall, which Boldy redirected into the zone. Joel Eriksson Ek and Kaprizov puck hunted on the forecheck, and Boldy found a soft spot for the snipe.

“I mean, anytime you add such a dynamic hockey player, they have three elite hockey players all on one team,” Montgomery said. “You can’t focus on one. That’s why they’re a really good hockey team. Well, one of the reasons.”

There was a team effort element in this win. The Russian line with Yakov Trenin-Danila Yurov-Max Shabanov connected for the team’s first goal on a slick display of passing. Jesper Wallstedt made some big saves, especially early, before the Blues mounted a comeback in the third. David Spacek played one of his better games along with fellow young defenseman Daemon Hunt as the banged-up blue line adjusts with no Brock Faber, Jared Spurgeon and Olli Määttä. The Wild’s structure was on point.

But, make no mistake, having game breakers like the Wild’s top line and Hughes is a key reason Minnesota can survive stretches like this. It’s what makes them contenders in the conference.

NHL Goalie Emergency Index: Which Teams Are One Injury From Crisis? [RotoWire]

Saw a breakdown of which teams are most exposed if their starter misses serious time, and the Wild came out as the most vulnerable team in the league. Wallstedt was legit last year (18-9-6, .916, almost 20 goals saved above average). But with Gustavsson on LTIR after hip surgery, the next man up is Pickard, who was about 10 goals below average in 16 games with Edmonton.

That gap between 1 and 2 is the biggest in the league by their math. Rangers just lost Shesterkin for the year, so this isn’t hypothetical anymore.

Is Pickard good enough to carry a few weeks, or do we need to be looking at the trade market already?

Dude is gonna put up Nathan MacKinnon numbers on that line.

[Russo/Smith] Matt Boldy breaks out in a big way as Wild take down Blues: Takeaways

Thumbnail
nytimes.com
64 Upvotes

ST. PAUL, Minn. — With injuries decimating their fourth line and half their blue line, the Minnesota Wild needed their stars to step up Thursday night against the St. Louis Blues.

Well, their big guns delivered in a big way.

Matt Boldy registered his fifth career hat trick and sixth career four-point game (second-most in Wild history), Kirill Kaprizov scored a goal and two assists and Quinn Hughes and Joel Eriksson Ek had two assists apiece in a 5-4 victory over the Blues.

Kaprizov did head down the tunnel with four minutes left, a shift after goalie Joel Hofer checked him into the end boards. Kaprizov stayed on for the first part of the ensuing power play, but after turning the puck over for a short-handed goal by Robert Thomas, Kaprizov walked to the locker room. Dylan Holloway scored with 14 seconds left with an extra attacker on. Coach John Hynes said postgame that Kaprizov is OK.

Before that, the Blues had no answer for the Wild’s top line, who absolutely dominated on the forecheck.

And with the Wild severely undermanned on the back end, Hughes and Jonas Brodin played heavy minutes and controlled all of their shifts to be Corsi machines.

Hughes set a franchise record by having points in each of his first eight games of the season. He also extended his season-opening assist streak to eight games to tie Filip Kuba for the second-longest run by a defenseman in NHL history; John-Michael Liles set the record by assisting on goals in his first nine games in 2010-11.
