How should I react?

My girlfriend said to me during a conversation, she doesn’t care how her hair looks as there are no boys in her college. She literally meant she wants to look perfect in front of other boys but doesn’t really care among girls.

Personally, I'd have suggested not making a Reddit post about it

Man I always find these problems that seems huge to you guys to be reflection of such an easy life. Yes it can be the pinnacle of your problem right now. It's pretty mild as a big deal.

Meanwhile there are people who doesn't play life on easy that have it way more complex.

There is always a bit of truth in joke and remarks like that. But it's also wise to keep your expectations healthy.

People like to be looked. People fear judgement. The impact of the smile of a stranger can go a long way. It's not red flags per say. It's human. Doesn't mean she'll go sleep with all the town, calm your "if that's true then what else is true" or if she does that that means our couple is ruined because that's exactly how you make a tempest in a glass of water that was super chill before you start agitating it.

Usually when people say that they mean that they have no one to impress or reason to try and impress them, could that be what she meant?

The funny thing is, it’s usually the guys who don’t give a shit what a girls hair looks like and the other girls who will judge the hell out of her.

Shit, the maturity level on this platform is stupidly low.

Nah, he should go out of his way to look good and fix his hair and say because there ARE girls. See how she likes that shit.

If you trust her then why feel anything?

When I'm around certain people I care much less about what I'm wearing and how I look. When I'm around other people that can be verbally hostile and openly judgy if I look a certain way then I might put in effort just to not be bothered. Maybe she is in a place where the people she's around are all super comfortable and don't do hair and makeup so it's normalized.

Not so much because there aren't guys there, just that all the women feel more comfortable because single ones aren't trying to impress guys so the ones that don't do their hair don't stand out against the ones getting fancy.

Did she say that's what she literally meant? Or is that just what you're assuming she meant? Because that's a pretty big leap from the words she said and says more about you than her.

She just want to impress other guys. No worries. Just wants attention.

I'd be really pissed if I was you. I don't even know why she would say that

You're overthinking this. Let it go.

Well I think it’s natural to wanna look good for the orher gender. She might crave attention and it doesn’t mean she’ll cheat on you.

Truth is, if you act like a stud and don’t say anything she’ll stay with you. If you act like a pussy like most men here tell you to do, then you’re screwed she’ll be lookin for a real man.

Maybe the only positive feedback she’s heard recently is coming from men. Either talk to her about it, or don’t. Frankly, it seems like a non-issue and you sound whiney and insecure.
