Hi,
a few months ago, I had a water heater on the curb and had scheduled EJ harrison come pick it up but before they could do it, some guy on a pickup cam and took it with him. Unfortunately I could not get the contact. EJ harrison still did deduct they annual allowance and now need to get rid on some appliance again.
Any chace someone has a contact info for those guys who take them for free? Do they pick up only metal or furniture as well?
Thak you

"A 50-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a BMW while walking in a traffic lane on the 101 Freeway in Ventura Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision was reported around 8:56 p.m. on the southbound 101 Freeway, north of State Route 33, CHP officials said in a Sunday news release.
Investigators determined that a 47-year-old woman from Salt Lake City, Utah, was driving a 2016 BMW 328i southbound when she struck the pedestrian, who was in the freeway’s No. 1 lane, also known as the far-left lane.
The pedestrian, a Ventura resident, was pronounced dead at the scene by Ventura City Fire Department personnel.
Her identity has not been released.
All southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway were closed for approximately 2-and-a-half hours while authorities investigated the collision. Traffic was diverted onto northbound State Route 33.
Authorities did not disclose why the pedestrian was on the freeway or whether drugs or alcohol were suspected factors in the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is urged to contact the CHP’s Ventura office at 805-662-2640." - KTLA 5 News

"A man was arrested in connection with a violent assault that stemmed from an alleged road rage incident in Ventura County.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Edwin Noe Mejia, 44, of Bakersfield.
The incident occurred on Sept. 10, as deputies from the Moorpark station were called to the 800 block of Magnolia Street in Moorpark just before 5 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed Mejia had reportedly followed the victim home after an apparent road rage incident.
Mejia got out of his car and allegedly confronted the victim by striking him in the face multiple times and trying to stab him with a knife.
Mejia returned to his car and is accused of driving toward the victim before hitting both the victim and his vehicle, authorities said.
The suspect fled the scene after the violent altercation. The victim provided investigators with a description of the suspect and his car.
. . .
On Oct. 9, detectives located Mejia and arrested him for assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism over $400, criminal threats and brandishing." - KTLA 5 News

Every time there is multiple power outages I notice my ac unit stops blowing cold air. Last year when I had this problem, it was fixed by simply replacing the air filter and then resetting my nest thermostat. Anyone else having this issue because Ive been troubleshooting since yesterday with no luck.

I've heard Bloom's mindblowingly good, too!
805Undocufund is a local nonprofit that not only does postdisaster mutual aid for our (the 805's) undocumented community but also, probably most famously nowadays, does patrolling, etc. to help protect said undocumented community from the worst ravages of ICE it can.

Does anyone know where I can get fresh shiso leaf? I know Mitsuwa in Northridge probably has some, but even coming from Thousand Oaks it’s a bit of a drive esp during busier traffic times. If anyone has seen some at farmers markets or anywhere else recently please let me know.
Alternatively, if you happen to grow some I would be happy to barter or buy some. I have lots of different herbs and some citrus including finger limes if you want to trade!

It was later confirmed by community defense organizers that the parents and children were not taken into custody as they were found to be American citizens after they had been detained. A likely traumatizing event for all the children involved and the family.
HSI is currently conducting a huge surge in California until the midterms if you would like to get involved or learn your rights I would recommend checking out and getting in contact with organizations like VC Defensa or 805 Undocufund or better yet talk to your neighbors get and organized.
