A better version of MPC 500 would do. I still like using midi for my external synthesis and samplers. The MPC Sample is dope but I like having midi tracks and multiple MPC Programs at my disposal.

Not all powerbanks require type c usb. I use the XT-9000 which uses an adapter that plugs right into the SP 404mk2. I also use it for the MPC One.

Use Koala to chop, view, and process your samples before you sample them into the 500. Also, you can chop on the fly a sample while it's looping inside the 500.

It might be the type of usb cable you use. Some usb cables are only for charging or powering up and then there are cables that transmit audio and midi. Check your cables!

I use this battery with the MPC One but I don't use the Ripcord. It comes with adapters to fit into the One to power it.
