When you click on the album cover it expands the photo by a little and you can move it around. What if you can flip it to see the back cover from vinyl record.

I don't want to see any videos on this app I use Spotify to listen to music and If I want to see videos I use YouTube. I really hate how all apps nowadays are turning into each other and they all try to be the "everything app" and this just makes everything worse. I noticed the same with Netflix for example.

Does anyone know how to turn off the videos?

I'm not sure when this was added but looks like you can take quizzes on specific artists if u go to a random song of theirs and swipe down.

So I have a large playlist made by me of all the songs I've ever liked. It has about 1200 songs on it, including many albums from musicals. One such album is the Lightning Thief Original Cast recording. This album is still on spotify and all songs on it are available in my region.

I was listening to this playlist on shuffle when I heard one of these songs and thought it sounded wrong. So I went to the playlist and the version that was playing was the London Original Cast recording from several years later, with all different singers and located on a totally different album with different cover art. And somehow, about half the songs on my playlist from the Original Cast recording were replaced, not by me, with the London recording. Again, different album, artists etc. I went to check on the original album to see if maybe those songs weren't available in my region, but they totally are. So I deleted the London version off the playlist and added the original ones, and they play just fine.

So what happened? This is located pretty deep in the playlist, and I don't go back and edit it. I would not have changed this.

Just noticed this, can now choose random genres within Daylists

I've been using Spotify for years and use a massive playlist of over two thousand songs I am constantly adding to. I've noticed and known for years that the Spotify Shufflewus far from random, but it especially has a tendency to only really select songs from like 5-10% of the playlist, leaving the rest untouched. It has gotten to a point where this is extremely infuriating. Is there anything I can do to improve this? If I need to remake new play lists in random order and play without shuffle on is there some tool I can use for that? I ask this later question because the playlist is so massive. In high school I spent hundreds of hours painstakingly alphabetizing it on a then barely functioned web app before they added the ability to automatically alphabetize, and I simply do not have the time to do it all by hand in a random order since I'm now in college.

Hi, I noticed this just today. It wasn't like this before.

CPU usage keeps changing in between %4-14 (yes, just spotify). And my CPU is intel i9-12900K in a desktop with AIO cooling. I don't think this is normal. I get that RAM usage is high since it uses electron but CPU usage is not normal. Maybe happened after the last update? I have no idea. Any ideas about what's going on and why this is happening? I don't even have the canvas working. Maybe because of a new windows update? I recently updated to Windows 11 version 24H2 (5 days ago)

I’ve literally done every recommended option posted online and it’s still playing the songs till the very end? I’ve messed with shifting the slider up and down, tried uninstalling, tried logging in and out and turning off my phone, tried turning different options off like gapless playback, Etc. As dumb as it is this was genuinely the only reason I liked Spotify but if this isn’t going to be fixed I’d rather pay for something cheaper. Anyone else going through the same thing? I’ve heard it might have something to do with the apps now running A.I which is ridiculous.

I found a cool playlist belonging to a friend of a friend that I have never talked to and I want to save it, but I'm wondering if they'll get notified and if they do, will it show the user who started following their playlist?

Okay so, recently (about 2 days ago) the shuffle has been acting weird.
Last night or so, I opened Spotify to listen to music, and since I ran out of ’picks’ (you get to choose your song), I just clicked on songs in my recently searched and shuffled them.
About the 3rd-4th time of doing this, I noticed each song kept playing the EXACT same reccomendation. Like, I’d click on song 1, it’d tell me ‘you can’t pick this song you’ve ran out of picks’ and then it’d play song 2. No matter how many times I reclicked song 1, it kept reccomending song 2. And it’d do this for EVERY song on the list.
I have updated the app and deleted and reinstalled, and it’ll actually randomize for a second before going right back to only reccomending one song.
Has anyone else had this issue with the randomizer not randomizing and staying locked to one song, or just me?

For about a year I was paying a different rate and currency instead of in USD because I moved countries, but then one day I forgot to pay a proxy so a payment was missed. On the desktop app I got logged out, and when I tried to sign in it says my email isn't associated with an account even though it is, same thing on a browser

My spotify app on my phone however is still logged in but the songs and stuff are all greyed out. Additionally, because I can't login on a browser, I can't pay for premium again

Am I done for

I am on Premium, and suddenly I've had this stupid issue where Spotify tries to play the next song but goes "We're trying to play this but it's taking a while" and suggests going to "offline songs". I have this entire playlist downloaded, and it seems like it mostly happens to songs that are local files which are ALREADY HERE and haven't had issues before.

I have tried so far to:

- Clear the Cache

- Toggle the local files

- Completely uninstall and reinstall the app

- Change the data mode

- Changed the audio quality

and nothing has fixed it.

every time Spotify does something with local files not working I come closer to dropping this stupid app, why am I paying for this if it's not gonna work???

Anyone else notice how the shuffle feature on Spotify isn’t really that good. I’ll have a 700 song playlist that will play the same artists music twice in a row. I feel like that’s a bug that needs to be fixed. Another thing do artists pay for their songs to be played after the end of albums? I noticed after I’m done listening to an album or a single the recommend music after is almost always the same songs or song. Plus even better if I put that song on my playlist that song gets shuffled to more. I love Spotify but I’m getting tired of making a playlist and only a handful of the hundreds of songs on it get used. Lmk if you guys have the same issue.

My kids are growing up and are now having accesd to mobile, with parental control to mamage content and time spent.

1 thing that freaking annoy me is the spotify widget. I have yet to find a parental application or a way to handle it. It's so easy to bypass either and let the widget play, pause, skip, etc.

Is there a way to block, disable, anything else that widget?

Listening to a playlist on shuffle right now. Then got down a rabbit hole of adding a bunch of songs manually to my queue. And TWICE, after adding a single song to my playlist, it kills the queue and skips the 20 songs I’ve just spent 5 minutes queuing up. Just updated my app. Let’s see if that helps solve this bug

Everytime I attempt to play my playlist Spotify will play one song from the playlist and then begin playing completely different songs that are not in the playlist. It does the same thing when i switch to a different playlist and it keeps the same random songs in queue. No matter how many times i restart the app it will not fix itself.

Title says it all. The Spotify desktop version (for Windows, I might add) sucks.

Whenever I load up an artist's profile, it's not loading it in correctly. Sometimes, the name, the picture, or the top songs simply show blank and won't load in. Sometimes, it doesn't let me play songs from a certain artist, even though I have no issue doing it on the phone. Then, after rebooting Spotify 5-10 times, it's eventually going to work.

Another thing is adding songs to playlists. Whenever I'm adding a song to my favorites inside the Desktop app, it won't register. That's fantastic when I'm using Spotify later on my phone trying to look up that certain song, only to find out it's never ACTUALLY been saved to my playlist.

And the best thing is, there is no fix for that. It's always the same procedure: Right-clicking the song -> selecting the playlist -> Pop-Up on the bottom says that it's been saved - But whenever I open up that playlist, it's not in there. And when I'm right-clicking that same song again, it forgets that I've ever saved it.

Meaning: Whenever I want to save a song, but I'm on Desktop, I always have to go grab my fuck ass phone, open up Spotify in there, type the song in manually and THEN save it from there, for it to actually work. It's horrible.

Spotify, I'm paying you 22€ a month. Fuck you and fix your app.

Just like radios and other many other personalized playlists, the day list now has the filters at the top allowing you to customize. For me this is a great asset because I like to lean heavily toward discovery, but daylist was always so heavily populated with songs that I already know. So I'm happy with this development.

I have tried many different solutions (clearing cache, relogging, restarting my computer, logging out of all sessions).

I have multiple playlists and this happens with all of them including liked songs. Small and big playlists. Albums too.

If I click on a song and click "repeat", the repeat button will flash for a moment before setting itself to repeat. If I click on another song or click on the playlist again, it does not save the designated "repeat" that was there before like it used to.

When double clicking on the playlist, it "shuffles" to a "random" song. I do not have automix on, this is not a case of it just playing similar songs, it's the exact same queue every time. It will shuffle to a random song, and if I double click again, it will go to the same song with the same next-up. If I turn off shuffle, and then click the playlist, instead of playing the first song, it will still play the song it previously chose.

If I click to go to the next song, it will now only shuffle from those two songs.

I like to double click playlists to shuffle them, but this has made that function unusable.

This is on the PC app.
