I just posted this idea on Spotify Community because the Library is a mess with 20 pins only. We need folders for Artists, not just playlists. If you also have 50+ artists, please upvote here: https://community.spotify.com/forum/en/discussion/7562158/allow-grouping-artists-in-folders-not-just-playlists?utm_source=community-share

Anyone else notice how the shuffle feature on Spotify isn’t really that good. I’ll have a 700 song playlist that will play the same artists music twice in a row. I feel like that’s a bug that needs to be fixed. Another thing do artists pay for their songs to be played after the end of albums? I noticed after I’m done listening to an album or a single the recommend music after is almost always the same songs or song. Plus even better if I put that song on my playlist that song gets shuffled to more. I love Spotify but I’m getting tired of making a playlist and only a handful of the hundreds of songs on it get used. Lmk if you guys have the same issue.

Title says it all. The Spotify desktop version (for Windows, I might add) sucks.
Whenever I load up an artist's profile, it's not loading it in correctly. Sometimes, the name, the picture, or the top songs simply show blank and won't load in. Sometimes, it doesn't let me play songs from a certain artist, even though I have no issue doing it on the phone. Then, after rebooting Spotify 5-10 times, it's eventually going to work.
Another thing is adding songs to playlists. Whenever I'm adding a song to my favorites inside the Desktop app, it won't register. That's fantastic when I'm using Spotify later on my phone trying to look up that certain song, only to find out it's never ACTUALLY been saved to my playlist.
And the best thing is, there is no fix for that. It's always the same procedure: Right-clicking the song -> selecting the playlist -> Pop-Up on the bottom says that it's been saved - But whenever I open up that playlist, it's not in there. And when I'm right-clicking that same song again, it forgets that I've ever saved it.
Meaning: Whenever I want to save a song, but I'm on Desktop, I always have to go grab my fuck ass phone, open up Spotify in there, type the song in manually and THEN save it from there, for it to actually work. It's horrible.
Spotify, I'm paying you 22€ a month. Fuck you and fix your app.

It’s been 11 years with Spotify and I think this is longest it’s been which I’m unable to use the app. I’ve noticed they’ve added AI search which I believe is causing the app to malfunction. I don’t want an AI search feature, I just want to listen to music. If not resolved within 24 hours, I’m switching to Apple Music. This is unacceptable.

I found a cool playlist belonging to a friend of a friend that I have never talked to and I want to save it, but I'm wondering if they'll get notified and if they do, will it show the user who started following their playlist?

I've been using Spotify for years and use a massive playlist of over two thousand songs I am constantly adding to. I've noticed and known for years that the Spotify Shufflewus far from random, but it especially has a tendency to only really select songs from like 5-10% of the playlist, leaving the rest untouched. It has gotten to a point where this is extremely infuriating. Is there anything I can do to improve this? If I need to remake new play lists in random order and play without shuffle on is there some tool I can use for that? I ask this later question because the playlist is so massive. In high school I spent hundreds of hours painstakingly alphabetizing it on a then barely functioned web app before they added the ability to automatically alphabetize, and I simply do not have the time to do it all by hand in a random order since I'm now in college.
Thanks for any information anyone can provide! I really should have come here years ago since this has been something really bothering me for years

I'm not sure when this was added but looks like you can take quizzes on specific artists if u go to a random song of theirs and swipe down.

Just like radios and other many other personalized playlists, the day list now has the filters at the top allowing you to customize. For me this is a great asset because I like to lean heavily toward discovery, but daylist was always so heavily populated with songs that I already know. So I'm happy with this development.

I have tried many different solutions (clearing cache, relogging, restarting my computer, logging out of all sessions).
I have multiple playlists and this happens with all of them including liked songs. Small and big playlists. Albums too.
If I click on a song and click "repeat", the repeat button will flash for a moment before setting itself to repeat. If I click on another song or click on the playlist again, it does not save the designated "repeat" that was there before like it used to.
When double clicking on the playlist, it "shuffles" to a "random" song. I do not have automix on, this is not a case of it just playing similar songs, it's the exact same queue every time. It will shuffle to a random song, and if I double click again, it will go to the same song with the same next-up. If I turn off shuffle, and then click the playlist, instead of playing the first song, it will still play the song it previously chose.
If I click to go to the next song, it will now only shuffle from those two songs.
I like to double click playlists to shuffle them, but this has made that function unusable.
This is on the PC app.
I have premium, if that matters.

In what world is "Song" useful as opposed to the track length that used to be here?
...Enshittification continues.

Does anybody have this problem, or a way to fix it? I am on Android, and when I have my Bluetooth headphones connected, Spotify will play at random even if I do/did not have the app open originally. I have yet to find a decent fix for it.

Title. I've got a handful of legit third party sites that I use to do some things. One of them shows me my top 50 short medium and long term faves. I'd like to take that top 50 long term faves and export a playlist directly to Spotify. Know of a non-scammy site that will do it for free?

So, I was going through and picking and queuing songs for a playlist, when (for the second time) I came across a song by a completely different artist, completely different genre… hell, the band had been gone for decades, yet this song apparently was dated from like 2025… how do I report this, other than just having to remove it from my taste profile…? Won’t that actually mean songs from the actually true artist won’t be curated to my tastes?? I’ve skimmed over help faqs and the ole whatnot… also, I won’t be able to sleep comfortably until this issue is resolved…

Everytime I attempt to play my playlist Spotify will play one song from the playlist and then begin playing completely different songs that are not in the playlist. It does the same thing when i switch to a different playlist and it keeps the same random songs in queue. No matter how many times i restart the app it will not fix itself.

Hey everyone!
I’m starting a Spotify Jam to share and discover electronic music together!
There’s no strict genre limit. Trance, psytrance, techno, industrial, hard techno, dance, ambient, and pretty much anything electronic is welcome.
Feel free to join and add whatever tracks you like! No need to stick to one specific style.
The idea is simply to enjoy some good music, discover new artists, and share tracks we might never have found otherwise.
No rules, no fixed genre, just electronic music and good vibes.
Spotify Jam link: (DM)
Everyone’s welcome!

Listening to a playlist on shuffle right now. Then got down a rabbit hole of adding a bunch of songs manually to my queue. And TWICE, after adding a single song to my playlist, it kills the queue and skips the 20 songs I’ve just spent 5 minutes queuing up. Just updated my app. Let’s see if that helps solve this bug
(And yes, Reddit AI - I am a Spotify premium user)
