Found this cutie for 8 bucks!
In a recent relocation, I gave all of my Halloween decorations away and have regretted it ever since. Yesterday, I found this cute recycled metal vampire dog for 8 bucks!

How do you clean thrifted hats?
I bought a wool fedora on The Real Real for a Halloween costume so idk if that means it’s relatively clean already but how do I clean something like that without ruining it? Are lice a concern? I’m not usually a hat person so idk

These prices are out of control
Prices at thrift stores have been getting out of control, but this Salvation Army has taken things too far. They priced this coat at 200$. It was completely acrylic/polyester/fake fur. Anything in this store worth buying was almost at full price new. These places are getting clothes for free. A majority of society relies on thrift stores to cloth themselves and their families. Im just beside myself. This is at the Salvation Army thrift store in Chicago on Clybourn.

Dale Tiffany Lamp!
Don’t know that this necessarily belongs in this sub, but it is not 100+ yrs old so I can’t post in antiques. Found this today at a local antique/thrift/oddity shop. So in love with it honestly, been a dream find of mine since I started thrifting. Appears to be a hanging lamp put on a brass floor lamp base, as I can’t find a match for the shade that isn’t hanging (last pic of how it is meant to look).

Best way to get bad smell out of thrifted heels?
I thrifted two pairs of heels yesterday while thrifting. They smelled pretty crazy but it was an unlimited fill a bag event so I decided to get them anyway and clean them as usual. I cleaned them both thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol + a toothbrush then went in with baking soda. Rubbed them with a damp cloth then I left them on a towel to dry in front of a fan with satchels of baking soda to absorb anything else. As they were drying they didn’t smell that bad but today they still stink !!!! Any tips ?? It’s been 24 hours now. I replaced the baking soda just now too

Wasn't sure if I should post this in /r/GrandmasPantry too
I have a VCR and should have bought this to clean first before testing.

Just scored this coat and pearl set from the same shop right before a big event and I’m pumped.
This is my dream coat btw~!!! I’ve been wanting this long leopard print fuzzy coat style fit since I’ve seen it pop off on tumblr. Now, the pearls? Giving flapper girl energy but I’m digging it. Much more elegant than my normal everyday spiked choker style, that’s for sure~!! Which I needed for this event.
What’s your dream thrift find btw~!? I’m nosy. 🧐 ✨

Signed Ishiguro
I paid $1.99 for this today. Minty condition. Only 250 copies printed, so sold examples are non existent. 2 copies are for sale through reputable dealers though.
