Discussion BiA must be the absolute needed mod for a proper Witcher 3 experience

Remember how Geralt comments on Olgierd's smoking habit while inspecting thru the Scenes from a Marriage Quest? I always wondered how Geralt comments on the pipe as if he knows Olgierd is a smoker. After all these years and 800 hours of gameplay - I finally have found out that Olgierd's smoking scene was deleted and the BiA (Brothers in Arms) mod has managed to restore it. The most fascinating restoration is the Arrest of the Lodge. Cuz , no way Emhyr is about to let the lodge go loose after all thet have done to the North. I wish Reasons of State had some cut content too at least that could have been restored so that the quest got more sensible.

Help! PT/RT suddenly broke my FPS

So I’ve been playing the remastered for a minute now, with PT on. As I played through Velen I had no FPS drops at any point and everything looked beautiful. Even when I arrived in Novigrad, which I was expecting to cause some issues, I had no problems running the game with PT. Only strange thing was that every time I opened the game it would reset my resolution to the lowest setting, even though my screen resolution is the highest one. Changing it only seemed to maken a difference with the text of some menu’s.

When I launched the game today, the correct resolution was there, but all of a sudden my FPS dropped MASSIVELY, to the point of making the game unplayable.
I tried fudging with the settings and I can still play on Ultra+ but I just find it weird that PT/RT would suddenly start causing FPS drops. Putting my resolution back to lowest setting makes everything look warped, so that can’t be it. Neither is my laptop overheating so I don’t think it’s a CPU issue either

My system has a NVIDIA RTX 5070 with 16GB VRAM, CPU is I7 13700, with 32GB RAM, so it should at the very least be able to run RT, according to the recommended settings

Was wondering if anyone else has struggled with this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Bug question

From what I understand the remaster is free to anyone who owns game. I have disc for it and electronic license to the dlc on xbox, so according to eveything I read it should work that isnt the question.

The question is are all the bugs I keep hearing about that bad and should I wait another month or so (or longer as needed) for them to get fixed?

I am interested in playing game again but not so much that I cant wait for better experience. I do not mind the occasional small bug every few hours that goes away after a few minutes or even requires a quick reload. But if they are a frequent thing that happens every to regularly to keep emersion or if they break the game I would rather wait.

There's absolutely no reason why you need to connect to the servers to load a modded save. There's nothing happening u are on a specific patch the mods are up to date for that. Also games like baldurs gate or skyrim didn't have this bs goin on when adding mod support.

Discussion Holy crap the bugs

I’ve been enjoying the hell out of the Witcher again but my God the bugs have been insane. I’ve experienced more bugs in this game than any other game combined. The newest bug I’ve gotten is 90% of the people are t posing with their heads floating sideways beside their bodies, and without their arms. Talking to NPCs that only have their eyes and teeth. Oh and when you have your romance scene with Yen when you meet her in Skellige, she gets changed after and when it cuts to them entering the dining hall again she’s still naked lol. I have 0 mods installed it’s pretty annoying I’ve experienced so many bugs in this game

I have a question 🙏

So, I’m completely new to The Witcher franchise all together. I started the Witcher 3 Remaster when it come out not too long ago, and I’m loving it! 🤩 Basically I’m just wondering if it’s normal if I’m honestly kind of confused about the lore, world, and people? Not completely though. It feels like a lot of the time when I’m talking to an NPC they will randomly be bringing up locations and names of people that I’ve never heard of. (And I don’t mean for a quest or important things, just when it’s adding to the story and lore) I can imagine how this creates a very realistically large world that would be hard to fully understand every aspect in, maybe that’s it. Or, am I at fault? I thought of reading the books to add to the information I have, but I heard something about how the author of the books doesn’t see the games as canon? So, they must be different in ways. Perhaps this will all be solved simply by me playing the game more. I just kept wondering if I’m missing important parts of this game because I’m not understanding what they’re referring to semi often? Any thoughts are helpful C:

Discussion Witcher 3 remastered - griffin/piercing cold/aard-yrden build question

Anyone with similar build having a hard time against noon/nightwraiths, Iris' ghost, griffins, and armored human enemies? Melts everything else...

Iris's ghost may have bugged out on me, though, b/c I placed a yrden trap at the pic she was going to draw from, so instead of going through her healing animation, she just chased me around and never took any damage. Reload fixed that, but even then she had to be moondusted before she started taking any real damage.

(Solved) Pourquoi ?

Help! Yet another movement post

I've been wanting to play this game for a few years based on the recommendation of a friend. I did try during COVID when this same friend got me back into playing video games, but at the time I rage quit during the tutorial because of the movement issues.

I'm playing on a PS4 pro, and so far, using this same controller, I haven't had any drift issues playing other games, but that's what my current issue feels like, Geralt won't stop walking sometimes. If it is stick drift then it feels very sudden considering two days ago it worked fine.

My question, is this normal for this game, or do I need to clean my controller? I can get used to it if it's just being an old video game. I'm not sure if it matters, but I bought the game early this year, so it isn't the new release. And if it's drift it won't be my first time cleaning a ps controller.

Anyway, thanks for any help you can offer. I'm going to go try to kill a griffin.

Tony Of Down By The River, Witcher with Tenure – Main Character Syndrome...

You already know my van. Now the van has a sword and the Continent has a problem. This how the Netflix Series should have been. I refaced Geralt into the Tony Curtis / Jon Snow hybrid and started from the beginning at Kaer Morhen. Not the same energy as superman, but it works. This is the full run from waking up through sitting down at the inn. Included are sweet mods:

- CMDRTonyFuckingCurtis Face Mod, Thanks to Vain, Designer
- DLSS 5 RenoDX
- Blood and Steel
- Blue Reflective Eyes
- Modular Eyes
- Black Beard, Hair, and Eyebrows
- Glowing Eyes
- Geralt on Steroids, V5
- Muscle Armors
- Brothers In Arms

Same energy as the streams, the snipes, and the satire commercials, just applied to Witcher cutscenes. For me, Main Character Syndrome was never optional. Everything needs to be Tony.

More episodes are coming. If you’ve been watching on Twitch or following on X, this is the same Tony, just with better lighting, a rugged jawline, a massive silver sword, and a horse.

What is the absolute best Euphoria build for Next-Gen NG+ right now?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for the absolute best, most optimal Euphoria build for Next-Gen NG+ on Death March (not locked into fast attacks or any specific playstyle—just whatever deals the highest damage and performs best overall).

Gear: Which armor set/hybrid setup is the strongest right now (Manticore, Ursine with Levity, Wolven, etc.)? Are Nilfgaardian Guardsman gauntlets still best in slot?

Weapons: Is Aerondight + Toussaint Knight's Steel Sword with Severance still the undisputed king, or has anything overtaken them?

Skills & Decoctions: What does the optimal skill tree and 4-decoction rotation look like post-Next-Gen balance changes?

Currently running Grandmaster Ursine with Metamorphosis on Death March NG+, but I'm really not satisfied with the damage output or the sluggish gameplay.

Looking for the definitive top-tier setup. Thanks!

Discussion Are there any other factions you control besides the Northern Realms faction?

Post image
74 Upvotes

I recently started playing Gwent and noticed something: it all comes down to the Northern Realms deck. So I got curious to know if anyone uses a different deck besides that and manages to turn the game around. I've never seen anyone say they're a pro using a Monsters deck or a Scoia'tael deck; it's always the protagonist's deck. So I want to know if you're proficient with any other deck besides the Northern Realms and what your best winning strategy is.
