Is it just me or did Netflix take some of The Witcher 3 music and use it for Below?
I literally had to minimize this twice to check if I didn't have Witcher running in the background.
Sorry for poor quality.

Help! Are these two versions the same?
Ok so this might be a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway.
On my Xbox series x I updated the Witcher 3 wildhunt when the remastered update came out. The update gave my game all the new changes, then today I found out that I could also install the remastered version. What's the point in installing the remastered version if I the original version was already updated. Is it just the new storefront version or is it perhaps something to do with the system? Thank in advance.

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is legendary
36, still love gaming to death. It’s how I unwind after a long day. It’s how I connect with my kids. It’s how I escape reality for a little bit to partake in a new and exciting story.
I’d been in a rut recently and decided let’s give Witcher 3 a chance. I never played it when it came out back in the day. With the remaster recently releasing, I decided. Fuck it, let’s give it a whirl. When I first started playing I thought the combat was egregious. Like I struggled so bad I almost dropped the game after a few hours. But the story seemed interesting, so I kept it up and I also lowered the difficulty and put on a few accessibility features. Notably I turned off carry weight and weapon and armor durability and I turned on loot from multiple bodies in a small area.
I don’t know why but immediately after I did this, the game became completely different. Suddenly I found myself absolutely hooked. Little to no friction and just pure enjoyment. Running around the open world exploring and learning about Geralt and Ciri. Meeting all these awesome side characters.
My only complaint is that I ran into more than a couple accidental game crashes (ps5 pro). Not sure if this is just my game or if it’s a remaster situation.
Anyways, if you haven’t given the game a rip, I would try it. Lots of fun. Combat grew on me. Great characters and an interesting story.
I have no idea if the Netflix show is any good. But after my wife saw the game box on my desk she was like “We should watch the show together.” So yeah, this games probably in my top 10 all time games. Would highly recommend.

Why is this game suddenly so addictive??
When the game first launched i was a soldier in a bad relationship . I remember the game was ok but my mind wasn't there to enjoy it and i naturally quit it..
Fast forward a few years later and I was in a different relationship and I played the game again and Ive played through all of the main game and a little bit of the heart of stones BUT at that time I was in different place and other games were launched and I gave them the time to play. Never got addicted to it.
We are 10 years later , I'm single and studying my passion , also I'm jacked as he'll , I can take Geralt in a stare contest , AND I'm addicted to this game like I've never been before! I don't know what happend , and what cause it , but I cant stop playing...between work , workout , studying, i just squeeze what ever time I have to play this game right now.
It seems to me that things feels diffrent depends on you current state in life....
And also, why the fuck does Roach loves making love with fences , rocks , and stips hills so much ?
My point is is , I'm older , and miles away from who I was 10 years ago , and I'm addicted to this game

I finished my first playthrough.
Hi, guys.
I rarely make posts on Reddit but I feel like I have to let this out. I bought the game just last month, September 12th. I'm 11 years late and I just want to tell you all that I've finished my very first playthrough of the game today after 101 hours and 21 minutes on Death March difficulty.
I understand now why this game is beloved by many and I'm proud to say that I am now one of them too. This cutscene at the end of the Blood and Wine expansion has cemented that feeling for me. Few games have ever made me just sit in silence and contemplate after the ending. I was admittedly emotional.
I am happy that we're getting a 3rd expansion. And I am all in for The Witcher 4.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now one of my most cherished games of all time.

Literature Witcher books
I just finished The Witcher 3 with both DLCs and absolutely loved it! Now I’d really like to read the books, but I’ve barely read any books in my life. One thing that makes reading difficult for me is that I sometimes struggle to visualize characters, places, and scenes in my head the way I want to. Does anyone else experience this? Is it still worth reading the books even if I can’t fully picture everything in my mind?

Discussion How many of you knew Gaunter O'dimm theme had lyrics that random little children know and sing?
Lyrics-
His smile fair as spring, as towards him he draws you.
His tongue sharp and silvery, as he implores you.
Your wishes he grants as he swears to adore you.
Gold, silver, jewels - he lays riches before you.
Dues need be repaid, and he will come for you.
All to reclaim, no smile to console you.
He'll snare you in bonds, eyes glowin', afire.
To gore and torment you, till the stars expire.

Help! Inventory wiped after a crash?
Has this happened to anyone else? I had a crash yesterday (very common on PS5 unfortunately) and so after that I just left the game, couldn't be bothered with it. So fast forward to today and loading my save and my inventory is basically wiped and my body is invisible.
Is this fixable or am I done? I've completed the game dozens of times by now so I'm not too bothered but I'll be abandoning ship if this is my save file destroyed. 😅
I loaded multiple saves, the auto saves and my manual save from over an hour earlier and they're all the same.

New to Witcher
Hi everyone, I have picked up Witcher 3 to give it a go. I have not ever played it, nor do I know what it's about, so will be going into this completely blind and spoiler free.
Are there any mods which are worth installing for an initial play through, or is it worth just playing a clean version before doing anything to the game?

Discussion As a new player for the remaster I love Gwent, but the 10 coin limit was a huge mistake.
It should have been a dynamic system where you could haggle the bet for much larger sums, they might not even play against you and if you lost there’d be no guarantee they’d play you again right away.
Instead of playing every merchant you can find. I think it would have been more fun to have a corner in most taverns that had a group playing Gwent. The group could have a limited “pot” to win that way CDPR would be able to balance it. Once you’ve won the “pot” the npc’s could start betting with their cards to win it back.
I love Gwent. There have been a few nights I open the game to just play it for a couple hours. I just wish it did more for my state in the game than actually nothing.

Discussion That Gwent song is too catchy
You know the one I’m talking about. One round of gwent and I’m cursed with that melody for like 20 hours.
It’s a brilliant song but not when you’ve been trying to sleep for 30 minutes
